  1. Lol thank you fireman! And thank you to everyone else! İ appreciate the great advice.

    Your very welcome :D

Dress 2 looks very comfy and sexy! Don't listen to the guys...you know they only care about the sexy :P

Very true, but when I am working SnS, sweating like crazy, I like to see a sexy girl walk by. Reminds me of why I really do this every year. ;)

  2. This zone was my favorite! My friend and I came through like six times- she had a major crush on the chainsaw guy who looks like he was a whole head taller than everybody else, and I gotta say.

The guy you are talking about is on my cast, Cast B. He is 6'11, a freaking beast. Look forward to seeing you all tomorrow night for the Opening. Look for a tall blonde kid with no shirt, and then come and sacrifice yourself to me! :chainsaw:

  3. > THE DUCKER/CLUTCHER

    > Next you have the Ducker/Clutcher who doesn't scream, but grips

    tighter

    > to the person they are holding on to, or ducks down. This is often

    > accompanied by the tiptoe dance. Also a big adrenaline rush.

So, would Liz(Cinderelly115) be a good example of this?:

  4. Man i wanna go to that warehouse and see all the cool props.Does anyone know anything about it?

Your not suggesting that it is a "real" warehouse that is full of past HHN props that you can walk through? And are asking if someone knows where it is and can get you access are you? Cause that would be no on both counts.

  5. Dont ya think as long as the SA stays in his area, it shouldnt be too much of a problem. I see this working that he/she will jump through the coffin at someone then once done turn right around and jump through the coffin again but scare someone on the other side? Then again i am a rookie SA so i dont know too much, just a thought.

Are you talking about having the SA staying in the coffin, going back and forth through it to get scares? As much I as would to see that, I don't see that happening for the reason that it is almost a trap hazard. Who knows, you can't predict how people will act, especially when the have had some drinks or are trying to impress their friends.

I'm more on the "Why in the world would someone walk through the coffin? Who knows what's hiding on the other side!"

That's the thing though, as a SA, you find yourself asking all the time why someone would do something, but sure enough, they will.

EDIT: Didn't mean to get off topic, just thinking about SA safety. :D

Gotta be honest with you, I see this being a major problem. Maybe I am wrong, but on peak nights, you will have tons of people that will want to walk through the coffin out of there own stupidity and then you well have a traffic jam. Just my two cents. However, ESQUELETO MUERTE looks amazing and so does my scarezone, Saw n' Steams. Like with many of you, I am just excited to see what we will be wearing to go along with the setting. Can't wait for rehearsals next week and some more construction pics.

  7. I don't know what it is, but big bull lesbians are always the most challenging. I try to get them when I see them for the bragging rights, but I have only been able to get a few in the past two years that I have been working the event. I have to say that I agree with Munchie and The Director of Horror in that getting the boyfriends/husbands in front of the girlfriends/wives is always the best. Especially if said boyfriend/husband is being obnoxious. They shut up pretty quick after their lady starts laughing at them. :P

A side question to go with that- what are those of you that are scareactors opinions of people (mostly guys Id assume) who are way into your scares? You know, guys smiling and laughing and going "Wow you look awesome!" My husband and friends did that, not in a taunting way or anything, and scareactors seemed annoyed by this and quickly move on.

Gotta be honest with you, this is probably the must annoying thing about working HHN. I once had a guy follow me for ten minutes pointing me out to everyone, talking about how cool I looked as a Nazi Zombie and letting people know that I was about to scare them. Granted I had him ejected from event and trespassed, but still, no need to act like that. Not saying your husband and his friends did that, it's cool to hear that you look awesome, there is just a fine line. When it starts to interfere with a Scareactor getting his/her scares, its probably time to move on and enjoy the rest of the event.

  8. Hey man, if you want to discuss this, go to here:

As you can see your question is already in there:

just wondering...usually opening weekend to me is prime time for hhn, it usually has low waits as most people will wait till october to go. The only house that ever has an abusrd wait is the one in jaws. so Orfanage i expect a wait. but do you think this being a big year will it affect the usual crowds at hhn? I hope not, cause i already have tix. just a thought big year, big crowds?

The past few years, the JAWS queue has been home to the "icon" house- SAW (09), Bloody Mary (08) Friday the 13th (07), which usually made the queue so crowded. This year, with Cindy being less known by the public and "FEAR" being the icon, I don't think the Jaws queue will be as packed.

And if you want to rate the Houses for this year, here is the link:

    :D

  9. No doubt he is a great entertainer, but I think like other people, I would like him to find some different acts for his show, instead of the same ones over and over. Will I see the show? Probably, but not if it interferes with seeing everything else.( I am working again this year at HHN and only have one day off so that I can go as a guest.) I do like that he stays after he shows for his fans though, that says alot.

  10. 1. Saws n' Steam- :chainsaw: and I am apart of it B)

    2. Zombie Gras-Zombies AND Mardi Gras?!?!?! Bravo

    3. The Coven- Very halloween feel to it and witches are very sexy to me. Dont judge

    4. Esqueleto Muerte- Feels like Día de los Muertos. I freaking love Día de los Muertos.

    5. XX: Fear Revealed- Only for the revelation of who HE is, other than that, very vague on what exactly is going on and who will be apart of it

    6. HHN: 20 Years of Fear- Of course this was expected and in someways needed, but eh, we shall see

  11. 1. Orphanage-Cindy is finally here and little kids freak me out

    2. Psychoscareapy-Even if its the fourth installment, can't go wrong

    3. Hades-A visit to hell, really looking forward to this one

    4. Horror Nights-An event house, bout time

    5. Legendary Truth-Haunted House full of ghosts seems play out, but its a toss up, all depends on those involved

    6. Havoc-Seems very fast paced, full of military and warfare; right up my alley

    7. Catacombs-Dead bodies, skeletons and more dead bodies doesn't really sound that scary to me

    8. Zombiegeddon- Zombies in comedic setting? I like shaun of the dead, but this sounds more like day of the dead. Too harsh?

As always though, all of them sound terrific and I am so freaking excited about them all. The actors of course are gonna make or break the houses, but I have faith. :D

  12. That is correct. The Navy calls it A-School, or Tech School if I'm not mistaken.

Yeah, A-School is just a term for all the schools that you can attend. After Bootcamp, you are assigned an A-School depending on what your MOS is gonna be. Basically:

A School = Formal classroom training.

B School = On the job training.

C School = Someone who already has the requisite skill/license, but needs to learn how to do it the way the Navy wants them to do it. :D

  13. Congratulations and best of you luck to you guys for deciding to enlist. I enlisted in the Florida Army National Guard, and I barely made HHN in 2007. I graduated from AIT on November 1st, and made it to the event on the 2nd. Again guys, good luck with your enlistments, and I'd be happy to have a drink with any of you.

Sorry for the late response. Advanced Individual Training? Damn bro, congrats. Thanks for your service as well and that drink is well deserved. :D

  14. Careful. Knowing this site, someone will inevitably believe you.

"Be sure to drink your Ovaltine. Ovaltine? A crummy commercial? Son of a bitch!"

Also, is Ovaltine a HHN sponsor this year? :P

EDIT: Just to let everyone know that I am joking about this before I get reamed. :D

  15. CODY! What's up, man? I am still thinking on that epic sig that I was telling you about in chat, but to hold me over, can you make me one that has the plant, Audrey II, from Little Shop of Horrors and "Feed me, Seymour!" writing underneath, in any font you think will fit? I trust you, thanks! :D

  16. street construction usually begins in late august when the website fully updates ,keep your trousers on were almost there

I didn't actually think people wore trousers anymore. But I will pull my pants back up anyway. :(

Street construction will be starting just after the full website update (late August-early September) at a very small scale. After complaints from Rock The Universe patrons about what they had to see (quite a few holy rollers were offended at what they perceived as "Satanic"), only the minimum of construction is done, like lighting rigs and more unassuming fog projectors (mostly the ones that just look like boxes). They literally start putting up HHN props as they take down RTU decorations; my mom has actually seen them going up when leaving the park very late on the last night of RTU, back when she worked for them (she was one of the people who did surveys at the entrance/exit).

Thanks Cody, that's what I was looking for. :D
