[Scareactor Appreciation Thread]

-Hades... the Spartan Warriors are kickass and effective, both Medusa's are amazing, and the individual who I'm guessing is supposed to be Icarus (has a beak-like mask with wings, and I'm pretty sure she's a female?). The latter is another scare actor who REALLY commits to scaring you multiple times, especially if you're separated from the pack... her room gives her the advantage of getting you from multiple angles, which she does effectively. That minotaur always nails me, too.

the bird like creature is a Harpy, and the character is a girl, not the scareacter lol. This is one of my fave houses and I loved being the Minotaur Follower (the guy right before the Minotaur with the bull skull as a hat) because he has the same benefits as the Harpy with the multiple scare opportunities

tonight was the first time I went through that I saw a scareactor whose costume included glowing green eyes, it was toward the beginning, like the first or second room in. What is that creature because we didn't really get a good look at him before he went back to hiding.

OK, so who were the two people in this house tonight who gave me shout-outs? Since you all wear masks, I had no idea, but it made the house extra special.

This house was much better tonight than it was last night, when I went through at 5 to midnight. Good job, still not my favorite house, but what a difference it made when the cast wasn't tired.

I was the Minotaur Follower. I suggested that we sacrifice you to the Minotaur :-) I had a bull skull as a hat

Loved this house...The harpy scared my friend pretty good. In the labyrinth at the end I was telling my bf which way to go and he was not listening to me and so I had to push him in the right direction thus distracting me and the Minotaur got me really good

Was highly disappointed. I think it is on the bottom of the list for the houses this year. It was beautiful but there was no scares, and I walked thru it without people in front or behind my group. My two girl friends who jumped in all the houses, only jumped when i pressed the panic button and they werent expecting the air blast. Really wanted to like it, because it is an amazing set, but just was left wanting more :-( When I walked thru it both times, people were just standing around not doing much, and some were trying to do funny jokes, but it was counter productive with the atmosphere.

It works with the 'official' canon, but the original concept for Cindy had her escaping into the woods with the porcelain mask on her face. I just have a personal preference for that version of the story.

Well since the Orfanage takes place pre-Screamhouse that could still have worked (except for the fact they found her dead body). If the Orfanage were to take place after Screamhouse then they would have had to change both stories, as she is obviously alive (so Screamhouse: Resurrected would have be false) and she doesnt have a porcelain mask on, so the original story wouldnt have worked

I don't like that story. I prefer to think that Cindy was taken to Good Harvest after running into the woods to escape the burning of her family and house. Giving her psychokinetic powers is unnecessary, considering no other icon has an "ability."

I like it. It plays to the story line much better since she was found dead in the Screamhouse, so it fills the gaps by making it ahead of time. Plus Good Harvest is in Carey. And there is a lot more to be discovered with her I believe because the was kinda a hint as to Legendary Truth in the text game

I was really disappointed with the house. I was so excited about the technology, but I feel like it was too bright to really appreciate the glow in the dark stuff. Some of the technology was really cool. And keep a look out for a familiar face in a mirror (at least I think it looked like someone fanboys would know)

"Keep this up?" 13 years ago as a frightened child I was told that I could not be a target for scaring if I walked up on the sidewalk. By no means is this a new policy and it certainly hasn't affected the event if you just became aware of it.

It actually is a new policy they started last year. They may have used it in the past, but it is new again And I think it is horrible. I feel like it takes away from the full submersion in fear when a scareacter all of a sudden stops a scare because some one is on the sidewalk all of a sudden. And it leaves room for people to taunt from the sides

I just dont like the website because after I look at it once I have no reason to go back again. And with LT I have gotten bored. There are such large gaps between the riddles and the Q&A was inda pointless, nothing new was really revealed. I dunno, I have gotten bored with thins year already, nothing keeps happening to keep my interest. I mean even here the forums, where after a couple hours would have pages of things to read, now only has a couple things.

Dont be mistaken I am still very excited to work and attend the even, just past years have kept me stoked until opening, right now it is on the back burner in my mind

We should never forget the weiner factor when thinking about Bloody Mary's involvement, she will make some appearance at the event however - but not as one of the Big Icons.

(I have also heard that the only other icon who is not under Universal's complete control may also make some appearance as well!)

I brought up the fact in another thread that if BM was captured inside of the device from 2008, and she is from Wyandot County, OH. Perhaps she may make an appearance in the Wyandot Estate. I could be completely off, but would be interesting.

And if the other Icon you speak of is who I think it is I would love to see.

So this may be COMPLETELY farfetched, but if Bloody Mary was captured in the device in 2008, and that device has now been brought to the Wyandot Estate...maybe she will be making an appearance in that house adding to the violence. Just a random thought
