I'm going epic this year. I only have Thursday and Friday to do anything so Thurs. morn., I fly out of Des moines and land in Orlando at 1:30. I'm hitting HHN that night and then going directly back to the airport to come back home. I'll video blog the whole thing and post it on here. I figure that I'll be in Orlando for all of 17hrs.

ok, here's some speculation that could completely blow your mind.....or just make you hate me. Either way.....
WHAT IF Everything that we've seen on the web site, all of the "code names" that we've been given, all of the permit info that we've seen, MAYBE even the lantern itself (GASP)....
What if ALL of it is just to throw us off and just a set up to take us all by surprise.
Think about it. There's been some pretty wild things said about this year and it's kinda been all over the map. From the greek mythology, to a reunion year.
From using new houses, re-hashing old ones, movies, no movies, movie based houses, etc., etc., etc.
Don't you think it's weird that we haven't really been able to nail down a solid theme or even an idea of what it might be? By this time last year, I believe we at least
knew that we'd be seeing Chucky, Wolfy, and Saw, possibly even more.
WHAT IF (hold on folks) they don't even finish filling in all of the information on the website that we have now?
WHAT IF we wake up one morning, and we have a completely different site....full of information (this year's theme, new icon, games maybe? like the COC site)
along with the beginning of this year's Legendary Truth site. THAT would be epic and unpresidented.
Just a thought to keep us going until we get the actual update. Crucify if you must.

I remember that video... it debut as the teaser for 2008. I don't know what house it was for (probably Creatures?) but there was wild speculation then about the house. I don't know how long in advance they do the house sketchups, but I'm assuming it was for 2008 because another part of the video showed a section of scary tales.
I didn't get to go in '08, so do you think it might be a return of Creatures? or is it just a generic house that we'll be going through type of thing. I know it's hard to tell because we know almost nothing about the event. Hence the speculation. Ijust thought that I'd throw this out there.

Sorry if this is off topic, but I wdidn't want to post this in Construction since technically this is spec.
I was watching one of the videos on the web site and there was a small clip of a computer walk through of a house. I'm not sure what year it was and I'm not sure what house it was for, but it included a part that had you walking out through a garage, much like the one we have seen in the disater cue pics. Could we see a repeat of this particular house or is it just a coincidense.

Before I post my pictures I would like to remind everyone that ALL my pictures are from a guest stand point.
Disaster had a lot of activity as you'll see in a pictures. there is some pretty interesting stuff there.
Then we have the tents and this is where things get really interesting. this structure is huge and looks like the facade not a hallway mentioned before.
there wasn't anything new at Jaws really, the walls I took a picture of before are painted I believe but I'm not taking any pictures there and posting them do to being a accused of trespassing.
What if it's not a fence, what if it's a ragged walkway? Just trying to look at it from a different perspective?

Did you not go into Cleaver, Body Collectors, Doomsday, and SAW? Those were prettttty damn gory.
But for the smells...I personally love the smells they inject into the houses. It just gives it more of a realistic touch and some of the smells (especially in chucky) smelled soo goood!. Plus...It's also an amazing feeling if you happen to pass by a smell that resembled the ones that were in a house throughout the rest of the year.
Like the popcorn smell in Silver Screams last year.
BTW my fav HHN 16 moment was when my wife and I were cornered by two of the clowns IN THAT BATHROOM....thay wouldn't let us leave and it was the creepiest moment of the night.

The observation deck does seem like we could see body collectors again but i mean it really could be for anything, and that van parked in the house really reminds me of PSHFTH so maybe that is where jack will be coming in? When i think of the HHN icons i think of the icons from sweet 16 plus bloody marry and Julian so thats 6 icons and we are having 8 houses so hopefully we will at least see 2 original houses this year. I do like jack a lot but Jacks funhouse in clown o vision sucked, he does not work in that, i did not get to go to his sweet 16 house but i hope they will bring back more darker kind of houses lately they have just seemed like more dumdbed down on the dark gory kind of houses, i would love to see another RUN house from sweet 16 something that is more life like that you could imagine happening to you.
At sweet 16, Jack's house in which he took over all of the escapee's of a mental ward and turned them into deranged clowns was AWESOME! I would like to see him return in that sort of house.It would be epic if they could take that and crank it up a notch.

I didn't get a chance to go that year, but could this greek stuff possibly have to do with the Terra Queeen instead?

Here's the thing....I voted for legendary truth but let me tell you why. I went last thursday and, for whatever reason, the park wasn't that busy. I was able to go through all 8 houses and 4 of them i did twice without any express pass. So I was able to get some really good run through of the houses. Orphanage wasn't great, 20 years of fear was ok, psychoscarapy, hades, zombiegeddon were good. Havoc,catacombs, and LT were my top 3. But in LT, during one run through, I was able to catch each and every special fx thing they had in there and that place was rockin by the end. The cast was really on that time. Maybe I was lucky, but it seemed like I got the best of all the casts in each house.
