  1. I really feel (and I'm sure that I'm not alone) that Universal is hiding something for this years HHN, that NO ONE knows about.

    Not even Universal.

Could'nt resist, I agree with you. They are toying with the fans........its never t00 s00n t0 start panicking.

  2. I am looking forward to this year, Kinda reminds me of the 1st time I went (03).

I had heard of it before we went to Universal, but never went, no message boards etc.

As we always vacation in the spring, I would have never guessed that trip in Oct. 03

would lead me to the point I am at now, planning months in advance, saving money, watching

and reading all the rumors and gossip, checking on anything thats HHN related ,spending a couple of thousand dollars

every year to attend(love staying onsite). This is my 10th year attending and I am counting the days.

So perk up, sometimes not knowing whats going on is a good thing.

  3. Since when did this year become basically non-original concepts? WD is the only thing that's all but confirmed, Alice Cooper has a possibility, I doubt P&T have anything to do with HHN at all. As for the others, nothing's been mentioned about them once.

im curious as to why the dates for sept-dec are still not up for UO in their website. they usually have times up like 4 or 5 months in advanced, dont they?

No , not sept or oct hours are posted as the rest of the months. Don't know why they do this , but I remember

alot of complaints last year about this, with people planning flights and such.

  4. The current daytime parade does not go through that portion of the park.

Unless you're speculating a parade based off gates...

Well not really, The size of the gates is related to what will go thru them. It looks like they swing outward, wouldnt that be blocking alot

of the walkway/path? Or maybe its just part of the facade, but why build working gates if they are going to be just props?

  5. With this much construction going on at once, it really seems to give more and more credibility to two parks.

There's always the parking garages. Maybe the theme should be construction from Hell, crazed zombie carpenters, psycho union leaders

and demonic plumbers. ...... wait , has then already been done?

  6. I find it always cheaper to book hotel and then purchase tickets. If you are wanting to stay on site

book a room now(you can always cancel) and pay on it . This is how I have been doing it for the

last several years. Kinda like a layaway.

February- Make reservation at RPR, I do this online super saver rate $156.80 average .Fri & Sat nights a little higher.

I then take the remaining balance of hotel cost (don't forget parking) divide that by # of months before I arrive and that

would be the amount I would send by check to loews hotel accounting each month. I prefer to have it paid for in full before I arrive

but any amount paid during the time between now and then makes it easier.

I check packages for best price, but its always cheaper to book everything seperatley ,atleast for a 6 night stay.

If for some reason I have to cancel(God forbid!) no money is lost. As long as you cancel atleast 5 days in advance.

With packages or using Universal vacations you can loose some of your money, they can charge even for making changes.

Example: RPR 10/03-10/08 total cost $1054.00

    less 1 night deposit - $189.00

    -----------------

    remaining balance $865.00

    parking + $80.00

    ----------------

    balance $945.00

    # of months / 7

    ------------------

    amount per month $135.00

This is based on room rate today, I always keep checking/move dates around but this is a decent rate.

  7. I am old...er, My 1st HHN was 03. Never had heard of HHN, we always went in early spring to USO.

We had just bought a new truck and I was wanting to go somewhere, and our anniversary was in Oct.

so we went to Universal. I seen the ads for this Halloween thing and I like Halloween so we tried it. Haven't

missed a year yet. Be there in 9 days. every year is like the 1st time always different, exciting & loads of fun.

  8. As had been said by others, I too, am hard to really scare.

This one time comes to mind 08 I belive , I was waiting to get a cold beer and

finally got to place my order and get my drink, I reached for my wallet and it was

not there!!!!! I was getting freaked just when I remembered that I moved it to my

side pocket. Man that was intense.

    Stay Thirsty my friend.

  9. This was just posted on HHN facebook page

Well, well, well fans… our trip down bloody lane has brought us all the way to 2011... But we’ve NEVER given you a house concept this early, have we? I guess there’s always a chance, we could do the unexpected… are you prepared for this year’s houses to begin torturing your daydreams and nightmares about HHN 21? Just remember, you wanted this.

So I wish today that we find out all the houses.

  10. The secret is out!, I have gone there before HHN and their was maybe 10 people

in there, last year we missed the stay & scream(4:50 and they turned us away) went to

cigarz there was 4 of us and 2 others in the place, this was on a Sat. FYI , those who

don't like to be around smokers might want to skip it. It is a indoor bar that allows smoking.
