    Im Alive!!!!!

whats the low down so far guys ?

Also so I hate to be the one pee in your guy's cheerios but I'm surprised no one has said anything but unless an act of God has just happened (which idk been disconnected from the game for a while) I wouldn't count on shinning as long as Stephen King is alive or there isn't a two bit remake in the works that made him abandon the title ala Carey.

For anyone new basically Uni has tried since the Mist to do a maze based on his movie adaptations but he hates the idea of his stuff ending up as attractions unless it's in Carey's case where he hated the remake so bad he disassociated himself from it and knots pull the rights for a room based on it. But idk.

  2. Academy of Villains (a dance crew who fit HHN) or 20 penny circus would be hell of a lot better I don't get why a long term contract would be made with jabba-flunkies if they are gonna be the same shit... or even a b&t type show that roast the year and such... it's gonna be 4 years and I still understand why firing the writers,  apologize, and starting fresh the next year was more acceptable than sweeping everything under the rug. Conversations help stop hate not pretending it doesn't exists.

  3. Guys lets keep this civil Trump has nothing to do with HHN unless you count the year he made out with Rosie o Donnle in Bill and Ted. Lets Just agree that there's PC like treating everyone regardless like human beings and respecting individuality and then there is over kill PC like getting mad someone from the purge stayed in character. I will give out warnings if a fight breaks out

Anyways considering everyone in Asylum people were kept there against their will and the horror came from Satan, Aliens, seriel killers, mutants and Santa Clause I think Universal will be fine besides unlike Knotts the problem with the content is not Universal created but the issue would to be brought up to Ryan Murphy and FX

  4. This is what I feel like should happen and some probably will

Resident Evil- with Resident Evil 7 being released in 2017 and the God awful movie as well it would be cool to finally have another go at Video game mazes its like no over due base the maze off of the new game and theme the Metro set as Raccoon City the tunnle would make sense as well.

Friday the 13th- the new F13 releases just in time for HHN so would be really cool to see Jason again.

Insidious chapter 4- universal property so no brainer but how about terror tram? It would be a cool way to breath new live into the terror tea make it like spectral sighting is conducting a investigation of the backlot you can add ghosts from all 4 movies plus make some original ones

Ash Vs The Evil Dead- come on just come on you know we need it.

American Horror Story- would love to see Asylum and Roanoke done.

Sounds like you had a good time! Where would you say this year ranks among the other ones?

It's hard to say because Halloween, Freddy vs Jason and Krampus are some of the best mazes Murdy has ever done  up there with TCM: Back in Buesiness and Into the further  but the terror tram was really weak and the lack of scarezones made certain areas seem empty but it one of the better years

You mean the remakes 35 anniversary.

Since im posting here now, I might as well comment on some things and post my predictions.

You guys can't be serious about thinking exorcist will return. I mean, come on, isn't horror nights past bringing back the same house the next year. AvP had a good reason for coming back, and I don't think the Exorcist cost as much as AvP.

Also so would like to say before this gets suggested a million times next year. No there will not be a Stranger Things house, it's crazy how many people who saw the show thinks it should be a house. At least not for next year. There isn't enough material in season 1 to work with unless they take a lot of creative liberties.

Before I get to my point I just wanna say Fiodstamps is 100% right on both points.

anyways I'm locking this thread on the count of this is technically speculation and until at least January or Murdy starts talking about let alone start planning 2017 this kind of pointless remember tonight is the last night and he does take a vacation right after.

  7. I'm gonna make my review this year sweet and to the point...

    In chronological order.

Scarezone- Honestly as great as the Gauntlet of fear it felt empty this year I still don't get why we can't have a SZ in the lower lot. I don't know if it was just because it was the last weekend but the New York street felt empty.

    Grade: D

The Exorcist- Not the best but was pretty good considering the source material not too much to say but it was okay. The coolest part was the facade. Also all the static seemed like an odd choice

    Facade: A+

    Scares: C

    Environment: C

    Overall: C+

Halloween: Hell Comes To Haddonfield- Honestly tied for best maze of the night, I wasn't a fan of the last two mazes especially last year's and I never really been afraid of Michael Myers even though I love the Halloween series but the Michaels in the maze were intimidating and several got me pretty good. Funny seeing Murdy on the TV in the first room. Loved that they based it off the second movie and got to the jacuzzi kill. The surreal parts at end with floating pumpkins and inside the faint one was a cool touch loved it!

    Facade: C+

    Scares: A+

    Environment: A-

    Overall: A

Freddy Vs Jason- The other tied for best maze. So good and nostalgic to see the original Freddy and Jason back. This maze could of been longer but it didn't take away at all all the liberties were great but I kinda wish they had a video or voice to give a back story but again didn't take away but would of been appreciated the scrim gage where the room turned into the boiler room was amazing. Also those all black rooms with the tunnel light really f'ed my shit up good job.

    Facade: B

    Scares: A-

    Environment: A

    overall: A

American Horror Story- I feel wierd on the choices of seasons but it was a decent maze, had no idea what was going on in the hotel section but didn't hurt. Got some great scares though. And for thinking Twisty is a dumb character the guys playing him here were great loved the transitions and the maze had to been the best looking maze this year. That being said the facade was really weak. This might come back I got a gut feeling.

    Facade: F

    Scares: B+

    Environment: A+

    Overall: B

Krampus- Exactly what I wanted! Was a really cool maze but I missed a lot of scares so I can't judge but was a great maze in all other aspects just minus the Krampus reindeer. So bummed they didn't do the password last night though.

    Facade- A

    Scares- ?

    Environment-A

    Overall B+/A-

Gauntlet of Fear- not sure how to judge this but I loved it felt like a full maze hope to see this used again but with a different theme.

TWD- since this is year round I won't grade but as much as I love Walking Dead I'm glad this is just a normal attraction plus it felt super short.

Terror Tram - this year was so meh and idk why felt super short everything just felt half assed the only cool thing was the video and the tram drop off other then that I really felt like this was a flop.

    Overall: F

Texas Chainsaw Massacre: Blood Brothers- I'm under the impression now that original Leatherface just does not do it for me the talent was great but it was a boring maze in my opinion but at least no black walls.

    Facade: C

    Scares: C

    Environment: B

    oberall: C

so overall great year but just left me wanting more really excited for next year!

Yea there are 2 trucks on the backlot, a grilled cheese truck and a taco truck. I wouldn't recommend going to them though, I ordered a grilled cheese with pulled pork because I loved the one I had when Gru's Cafe first opened and now nobody goes there because it sucks, and I just wanted to see if was any good and get this, they ran out of fucking cheese and they had to switch my order to chicken tacos, good tacos, overpriced though. But it took like 20-30 mins to get the food and that area is crowded with people. Definitely would not recommend eating at the food truck

    Jurassic cafe it is

what is the best app to track wait times on?

Universal just made an official app that released last week and they stated it covers HHN as well and uses the exact same system as waittimes.com

Visit Harry Potter if Early Entry continues as is; we rode Forbidden Journey and drank a frozen butterbeer.  Nice way to start the event.

    Thanks for the heads up!

Btw any know the food truck/stand offering on the metro sets this year?

That's what I was thinking. That would help with capacity tremendously.
Forbidden Journey would probably suck up at least 15% of the crowds. I thought JK Rowling didn't allow Uni to have HP open during HHN though?

Orlando has Gringotts open.. But I think Universal would have to surrender a cut of the profits to JK and Warner Bros. for having HP open during the event.

Yeah Gringgots is open in Orlando so the whole JK does not like HHN is kinda BS

Does HHN Hollywood have a 'Stay and Scream'-type holding area inside the park for guests who have day+HHN tickets for the same day as does Orlando?

You are held in the lower lot

There Is a day and night combo pass but I think you have to leave the park and re enter for HHN

    No you dontdon't

    Hey all!

The last 2 years we have bought the day/night pass and then leveraged early entry. This combination allowed us to get everything in (mazes+rides). However, it was always on the Sunday of the 1st weekend in Oct. This year we can only attend on a Saturday and are planning next weekend (Sep 24).

Should I play it safe and go FOL or continue with the strategy that has worked in the past. I just want to make sure we get it all in since we are coming Kansas and it is our only shot.

Thanks in advance for the advice/tips.

You can get everything maze and ride done with early entry or day and night combo as long as you don't mind that you still wait in line just plane appropriately
