Going in to finish paperwork today. I'm glad I get to finally be apart of the scare team, even if it is the end of the event (:

I would have posted this in the audition thread but it appears to have been locked... Did anybody else that did not get cast but auditioned this year get an email saying that they got cast? I got one tonight and I am completely surprised.

I just wanted to pop in and say that last night was fantastic. The actors are actually, in my opinion, filling their roles pretty well. It was WAY MORE INTENSE than the past two times that I went last weekend. I had a great time and it's going to be exciting to see where it goes from here!

I would like to see some victims as well. I usually enjoy the acting on the victims parts very much! Great non-spoiler review, Dicktator!

I was actually very worried when I initially heard about the show, as the director/scriptwriter was unable to keep his personal views on the election out of the show and basically tried to turn Romney into a joke. I'm a democrat through and through, but the show wasn't balanced at all and just ends up pissing off all the conservatives who attend.
I agree with this statement.

I basically wrote my review on those computers towards the exit of the park the other night so as much as I'd like to write a review of the event, I don't feel like rewriting it right now haha. My overall thoughts on the event after Friday and Saturday are as follows. I used the shortcuts around the park as much as anybody the past years and the fact that they were cut out didn't really affect me as much as it seemed to affect others. I enjoyed all of the houses greatly. I thought AC was not up to par with past houses the first time around but I enjoyed it a bit more the second time. I think P&T is one of the best 3D houses yet. Gothic is wonderful. The Walking Dead was good the first time around but I think I was blinded by the detail and relevance to the show (big fan here) to see that it's really not at all scary. The streets redeemed themselves the second night because the rain the first night made things absolutely terrible and I was very disappointed. Overall, I am glad I get to see this event progress with my FFP+ because I am positive it will.

I gotta say the 8:45 B&T show on Saturday had such a terrible audience. It was my first time seeing the show this year, and I thought it was great. I laughed a lot. But the rest of the audience didn't seem to be laughing or reacting with me. Nobody was stomping and clapping during We will rock you....I liked the show but the audience didn't seem to be going for it which threw me a little bit. The only reference I didn't understand was Madmen, never seen that show, so I didn't get the joke and it recurs several times, but the rest of the show I thought was most excellent!
My favorite part of this particular show was watching the sign language interpreters use several less-than-classy words. Classic.
I don't usually post too much but I agree with exactly what you said so I feel the need to say something. I was also at this show and I felt the exact same way that you felt. The crowd just wasn't feeling it... It also felt like the stage-left side of the show was full of fun/liberals and the stage-right side was quiet/full of conservatives because when jokes about Mr. Mitt Romney were made, I was hearing derogatory words being used against homosexuals and I began to feel angry... I hope the next time I see the show that I am with a more welcoming crowd. Other than that, I thought the show was very entertaining!

Sorry for your same misfortune..
But at least it's good to know it didn't only happen to my group..
The one cast in my was a skinny blonde girl
-
Yeah, they told us "we recommend that you don't come back".. So I guess they didn't say NOT to come.. But they said that they have our applications and they didn't need us to come back..

They only chose 1 person in my group..

My girlfriend and I are auditioning tomorrow at 4 45! Wish us luck! I'm anxious/excited/nervous!(:

Everybody!!!
JK. In all seriousness, no one knows but them. The directors know the character and know the body types needed. People say, I'm so cute I can't be scary, or I'm to fat/skinny/tall/short. Wrong.
They want/need everyone. They may have roles for 7' 300lb people as well as 3' 60lb people, along with everything in-between.
Since they'll have a picture of you before you enter the room, they'll generally already have you casted for something and or nothing at all. At that point, they wanna see you face to face and see you can interact. That simple.
Might this picture be a head shot or a full body shot? (I'm assuming full body shot so they can see everything)

This may seem like a stupid question, but for a call time of "5", as stated above, does that mean that you need to be at Universal at 5 pm for the nights of the event? (I just am not sure if this "time" is just for rehearsal or the event)

Me and my girlfriend got auditions for 4:45! Woop! (:
