  1. DTH you have every right to bitch. I dont blame you. If the rumors are true about Jason returning then i wont be pissed because im a big jason fan as-well but really dissapointed that after all this damn hype and wait that they are just taking the easy way and doing something they have already done(even thought its a remake) instead of looking out the box and trying different horror franchises. I really dont know now about going to hhn, i might just go to knotts because Sleepy hollow does sound kick ass! But on the other hand i might end up just going to hhn just so i dont break tradition of me going every year. Also that means no wolfman maze this year if the rumors are true, i guess he will just be on terror tram.... Oh well :(

Well not so fast Freakazoid, it may mean Freddy will return but not necessarily TCM. Platinum Dunes and New Line no longer have the rights to Leatherface. I believe Lionsgate does and are actually working on a reboot as we speak that'll be in 3D.

But that would pretty much finish up everything we wanted to know about the event.

    1. House of Horrors

    2. Friday the 13th [remake] (WWW Arena)

    3. Original maze (Shrek Venue)

    4. House of 1000 Corpses: In Zombievision (T2 Queue)

    5. Nightmare on Elm Street [remake] (Lower lot... think about it... a window... a chimney like furnace thing...)

Would I be disappointed? Damn sure I would be. That'd be the most underwhelming event of all time.

Sleepy Hollow Mountain at Haunt sounds more promising than all of those would be combined.

But I'll try to cease the bitching because I know you're all tired of hearing it.

  2. Trick R' Treat is not really scary, and its all around movie basis wouldnt be that much of a good maze. Too some it is a great movie, give or take there is a good scene or two in there, but In my opinion you will have a much better "Scare Reaction" and better satisfaction overall to House of 1000 Corpses.

Plus not to mention the hype for "Trick r' Treat" has died down signifacntly. As for the HOTC 3D maze, i remember Murdy mentioning on twitter that their make vendor was trying a new technic that was 3d makeup on the scare actors.

  3. this has been the wierdist day ever im just waiting for Murdy to come through the dorr and say "Finaly you all learned the true meaning of halloween" then we go "Will we ever see you again" then Murdy goes "Ill always be right here and Ill be back next Halloween" then he get in a tram and flys off btw I had a little too much full throtle!

Haha! Im just imagining a tram flying away while murdy is saying "i love u all" as he is in the air on the tram! Lmao! Well, my name is steven and you can follw me on twitter if ya want @rozuk24

  4. because we ate the Rabbies Meatpie If anybody gets that referance you are full of win

Im telling you Murdy's the Puppet Master

Correct me if im wrong but isnt that from that old ass movie "i drink your blood" or something like that haha. This year hhn has disappointed me. I mean its just getting annoying that they keep delaying the PR. But whatever, i just hope its worth it and we arent waiting all this time just to hesr that saw n my bloody valentine will be returning haha. Oh and happy bday dTH.

  5. Yeah that would be cool to see here at hollywood but sadly i doubt we will ever get something like that, Oh well haha. I wonder what they are going to do with the strangers? As for terror tram, i hope they at least try and change up the path some way. It gets real repetative every year and less scary since you already know where they are going to pop out at. :(

  6. Yup exactly, just wishful thinking. Now back to scarezones, what if they had a tribute to classic horror films scarezone? Imagine walking into french street and the whole area is lit in a dark gray light, filled with fog, that way you can feel as if you are actually in a classical horror film and have all the classic horror monsters roam the streets. But kind of update them to be a little more frightening. Name it Classical or something lol idk. Also, another scarezone idea would be a fairy tale scarezone with all of literatures fairy tales but with a deadly horror twist to it. I have no idea what they would call it but i would be cool to see one of those scarezones come to hhn. :D

  7. Well Hellraiser is pretty much a done deal in my eyes for next year. Because i asked murdy a couple days ago what about a hellraiser maze? and Murdy replied with "Hope so, been talking to them recently about doing that franchise. " Plus not to mention Clive Barker had a maze awhile ago at hhn that i luckily went through when i was like 10 or 11.

EDIT: Wait, now that I've mentioned it, I know it's a long shot but "IF" and i repeat, what "IF" the lower maze is a Hellraiser maze? I mean the first film Does take place in a house.... but thats just a wild guess. We most likely will see Pinhead next year though :D

  8. I agree with you DTH. I love the Friday the 13th franchise. Heck, i even have Jason voorhees tatted on my forearm lol. As long as its a new maze with new scenes and kills then im ok with it. As for the wolfman, i already knew but im still not sure to which capacity they will use him. Will the wolfman be in a maze or just terror tram? hummm... I'm not gonna get my hopes up yet, so i guess we will just have to wait and see what happens. :D

As long as it's a complete redo with new kills and a different location, I'm all for it. F13 is by far my favorite of all the horror franchises. I could've lived the rest of my life without a Freddy maze and a TCM maze (even though it is by far THE best maze ever created) but I would've yearned and longed for an F13 one.

    For further speculation:

I don't think they'll put this in their new location nor it's old location nor on the lower lot since that's the BIG maze. And F13 would just be stupid in HOH. My guess is the Shrek venue, which is kinda small for my liking but all good by me. If we're gonna do a redo, might as well do it in the smallest location so the new, original mazes get all the love.

OH OH! And to see Jason back on the backlot is going to be the best. Welcome back to Camp Crystal Lake :-D

House of Horrors (House of Horrors)

    Wolfman (WWW)

    Friday the 13th (Shrek)

    Original maze (Curious George)

    Mystery maze (The Mummy)

  9. HHN MASTERS = EPIC FAIL lol.

Now i dont really see curious george play area being used bcuz when i went recently with my little cousin, there was so much stuff to move around and not to mention all the rails and stairs in the way. T2 area would be great to see utilized as a maze. As far as contruction goes i wonder if the maze on the lower lot will be more recognizable by the end of next week since scenic crew is almost finished. This year hhnh has been a roller coaster lol.

  10. Shocker alert people! Someone asked on Twitter if the fifth maze is located in the Gibson Lawn and Murdy replied with a straightforward NO. So if that's not the location of the fifth maze then....WHERE IS IT GOING TO BE!?!?!? I guess the last resort would have to be the Globe theater.

I'm just guessing here but maybe, just maybe it may be in a Soundstage? he did say it was in a place we would never even think of and he has been turning down the idea of soundstage maze for awhile just to throw us off, so that can be one of the possible locations. Anyone else have any other places in mind?

  11. Ive been thinking and the only "New" films i can think of to come to HHN are the remakes of Friday the 13th and A nightmare on elm street ( which might be on the lower lot) but then again they have to use all 3 for the New line cinema deal so... Damn im completely lost, i have no idea what other films can come to hhn that are maze worthy. Hellraiser and Scream might come next year but this year has me totally stumped!

  12. New update guys! Just got back from Universal again and saw something VERY interesting that was behind the facade of the the lower lot maze. (Again, I forgot to bring my camera and I apologize.) What I saw was what looked like a curtain behind a window that, I assume, is for some sort of old house. I guess this disproves the Saw re-run theory completely. :D

Any thoughts on what it could be? (Seriously doubt it's the Wolfman; if anything, that's probably going into the new location.)

Hmmmm... Maybe "Talbot Manor" for the Wolfman maze? or Maybe another Halloween maze but this time just Rob zombie's version?

  13. Lmao! I couldnt have said it better myself.

Of course it'll be one of the best nights of the year... but saying that, and knowing it could be BETTER still leaves room for a let down. I'll attend even if it's all repeats and I'll still have fun, it's just you kinda long for something more. Like marrying the fat girl with a nice personality when there's the extremely hot chick that "got away" that you had a chance with days before the wedding but decided to be faithful....

    lmfao

  14. a

actauly i can see why from story telling reasons he is the most leader like out of the 4 just like Freddy is the more head villian type of the big 3, I can also get the Terror Tram but Saw Was way over done last year, when i called to see if there was any FOTL passes left it only metioned Chucky jigsaw and micheal myers, plus I got alot of mm cups and there was a billboard in whittier with MM.

but thank god Leo reminded me of the no repeat tweet, but still so far this years on a thin line.

Thats crazy im surprised i didnt notice the billboard since i live in south el monte, which is like 10 min. from whittier haha. All i hope is that the hhn pr and mazes better be worth the wait lol.

  15. okay i went to universal again today and was wondering if anyone remembers how the SAW maze front facade looked like? I completly forgot how it looked. Please let me know, because i noticed going down the escalator to the lower lot there were two tall towers already in place in the front of the maze. I know this should be in the construction thread but i figured it might go here since it might speculate that SAW will return (which i hope it doesnt  )

  16. :o I hope so! I would really like to see a WM maze! By the way, back in the Vault days, you said that when you talked to Murdy, he would show up this year correct? Maybe they're going to use it on the Terror Tram but I sincerely hope they have a maze planned out for him!

Yeah,Thats what he said. I met Murdy I asked him " So is wolfman coming to hhn? i hope so." Murdy replied " Yeah (paused).....Well I'm sure wolfman will be part of hhn some way or another." :D Im going again Friday to universals, so Hopefully i can take my time and check everything out.
