oooh and there is a poster going around for the child's play remake that i think is actually real...

i saw it on a video i'll see if i can find it so i can post it on here.

    *EDIT*

    here it is!

Are you sure that's real? O.o I'm just a little surprised that they'd use the original 80's Chucky in the reflection of the knife despite today's advancements. Ah, I'm always suspicious!

    EDIT: NEVERMIND!

There's definitely going to be a remake! :D

  2. I got my confirmation email yesterday. I am a HHN 2010 scareactor... I took my family to the SD Zoo yesterday and I was constantly checking my email, I WAS SO HAPPY when I saw t the email from staffing. I do paperwork tomorrow at 10 am

WOOOO! <3 The creeping piggy is back! Ah, but is he a piggy this year~? Hoho!

  3. I can no longer associate myself with the fan page. The community there has gone to absolute shit and now consists of people trolling each other and spamming up the page with useless comments and insults.

I give up on these children. May the enjoyable age of the HHN fan page rest in peace.

Fucktards. You can't even tell them to ignore trolls and idiots without the same people complaining of them posting crap about you. One of the major spammers even used to cause drama on purpose by making racial insults to everyone!

    Anyways, I repeat, I'm done.

To those who still are active on the page, here's some Ibuprofen and relaxation techniques booklet.

Ugh shit, if I wanted my daily dose of trolling, I'd head to /b/ and call it a fucking day.

  4. When a random stranger grabs onto you and doesnt let go, screaming constantly in your ear. Not enjoyable.

I also don't appreciate it when someone behind me gets scared and tries to go through me to get away!!!! When I was walking through Friday the 13th with a group of cast-mates, these 2 HS aged guys kept getting scared and basically running into me. I kept having to walk faster so that I could get away from them. Unfortunately, I also missed parts of the house by doing this.

    I am so sorry, I am undoubtedly guilty of this. :lol: I was definitely at my worst at my first ever trip to HHN back in 2008. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre maze had me grabbing onto people and creating my own stampede of screams and yells! I definitely have it more in control now and do it less (2009).. but I definitely still do it. ^^;

    I'm working on it!

  5. ...I'm not all that excited for this one. I guess it makes sense since vampires are "in," but vampires just don't scare me. Of course this maze will scare me due to scareactors popping out, but other than that, I can't see anything else about them scaring me.

Their face most likely won't scare me, their costume most likely won't scare me, hissing won't scare me, and if they glitter, I'm walking right out of the maze.

(Of course they won't sparkle, just making fun of Stephanie Meyer's bastardization of vampires.) I like vampires, but I've never actually found them to be scary.

    Mr. Murdy, work your magic..

  6. I actually prefer candid photos of people getting scared. Ooh, the hilarity! <3

But some scareactors, I just want a picture with so bad. I'm not a fan of the camera, but if I see a special scareactor around like the stilted demon last year, I gotta snap a shot! It doesn't have to include me, but I would like to snap a quick shot and let them do their job. :P

  7. A pet peeve of mine is when people disrespect the scare actors and talk crap to them. Its so immature. And people bringing kids under the recomended age is annoying. As it is the 12 year olds are annoying enough lol. Oh! And one more pet peeve when someone gets scared in a maze and just stands there screaming, holding up the line.

PREACH! I cannot stand the disrespectful guests and I just flat-out pity the poor children dragged to HHN by their parents/guardians. These children will be afraid of frivolous things like the dark or the "monster in their closet." All fears created by their imagination. Now take them to HHN and it's basically a child's worst nightmare! Major kudos if the child can handle it, but I'm going to automatically assume they're going to take the "monsters chasing their mommy" as actual monsters.

Last year was just.. wow. I remember I saw a mother with her child and this poor girl was so scared and just going ape-shit and screaming her poor little head off. "I wanna go home, mommy!" she screamed at the top of her lungs. "Okay baby, we'll go home!" Her mother was saying this right as they were walking towards the Saw maze.

As for disrespectful guests, I swear, I would wholly appreciate if HHN had standards for who gets in. Unfortunately, this would be very hard to uphold and enforce. Anyways, some guests are so disrespectful, they will disrespect each other. I was once waiting around and this stupid little 12 year old ragamuffin comes up and tries to scare me by thrusting his head towards me. I quickly backed my head away and just gave him a rude look like:

    glarecc.gif

    (Pardon the gif overload)

This little Ed Hardy wearing pickney looks back at me laughing and heads back with his friends like he's the shit. *Le sigh*

At least the scareactors are getting paid to scare. You're trying to scare guests to look cool to your idiot friends meanwhile your balls haven't even dropped yet and Justin Bieber sounds more mature than you.

  8. you go by yourself?

I never plan to, but that's exactly what happened last year! I invited a fuckton of people to go with me last year and most agreed. Come October, they're either broke, tired, or just too scared! So I ended up going to HHN alone most of last year (my cousins went with me on Halloween.)

At first it was really scary, but HHN is actually more fun alone! So who knows, maybe I'll take some days of HHN completely alone. >;D

  9. • Frequent Fear Pass. Enough said. Nothing more, nothing less, it's all I want and it's all I need.

    • I always have to stay for the Chainsaw Brigade!

    • Always head to the lower lot first and work your way up and to the front of Universal. Save you plenty of line trouble!

    • I tried to make bringing friends or even family a tradition.. HA. That failed effortlessly. Scaredy-cats.

  10. Does Facebook just drain all common sense out of people geez now people are arguing the concept art of Dr. Satan because there was no background correct me if im wrong but werent most concept arty last had no bacjground or color?

There was no arguing. And if you look at the concept art, they usually contain a colored version of the character, detailed lineart of the character's face, watermarks from Universal plastered all over the image, and the negative space is usually filled with low-opacity textures and a more neutral colored background.

The Dr. Satan artwork featured none of this but the colored character. I already posted other reasons for me feeling the artwork was fake in the post above this.

Once again, I now realize the image is official, but me suspecting the image might be false because of the many qualities of HHN concept art it lacked does not mean I lack common sense. I paid attention to detail and this somehow means I lack common sense. You know, maybe you're right because I certainly don't seem to have enough "common sense" to understand that logic.

  11. Yeah, the people on Facebook are idiots of the highest degree. First they claim Scream is confirmed because a fans blog mentioned that a Scream maze might be the favorite this year, now they are claiming that someone falsified this concept art. For what purpose would someone do that? Their main evidence is that Dr. Satan looks nothing like that in the movie, but if you read it it says "Murder Ride Dr. Satan", and is exactly what he looks like in the murder rude scene of the movie.

I have no statements on the Scream assumption since I never made any, but I thought the concept art shown was false because the look of it wasn't similar to the other concept art pieces. Also, there were no blatant Universal watermarks, the article was not mentioned on Twitter nor Facebook, and the photoshopped brain just screamed cheap to me, so I felt it was fake. Don't mind the people on Facebook, there's worse people out there. Like the ones who go to HHN just to disrespect the scareactors, the property, and many times, fellow guests.

Besides, I already saw that Mr. Murdy confirmed the piece as official.

Speculation and assumptions are pretty normal, no matter how outrageous the claims.
