Hey guys,
I thought I'd create this topic to see what night(s) some of our fellow nightmare-ers are going to Halloween Horror Nights.Tell us what night(s) you are going and if'd you'd mind meeting up with fellow members of the forums who share the same passion. I plan on going next weekend (sept: 29th and 30th, oct: 1st and 2nd) and wouldn't mind meeting some of you guys.

From what I can tell not only do the actors evolve throughout the night but the music does also.

I was there yesterday. The scarezones are lookin great, but still have some work to be done on them. The most surprising thing is that you could clearly see into parts of the rooms for HoH from the Disaster queue (colored lights, etc.). I did take some photos, but we'll probably never see them because Hulk got angry and stole my camera. When I got off it, it wasn't in my pocket any more, so I assume it must have fallen out.
Good example of Lady Luck's dirty work! I'm sorry to hear you lost your camera :\ Can you tell us more about whatyou saw from Holidays of Horror???

I love this concept. It sounds awesome and I really hope they pull it off. But it's really hard to pull off "total darkness" in a SZ. There's always lighting in the streets as well as bleed over light from nearby parts of the park (not to mention safety concerns). I have a hard time imagining them getting it dark enough for it to work as advertised. I hope they do because it sounds great. I just think it might lose something in the execution. What say you?

You do have a point there, it is kinda hard to pull of "total darkness" in a scarezone BUT it's easier to pull it off in Shrek alley. I've been attending HHN since '08 and the scarezones in Shrek alley have always been the darkest ones. I think they could pull "Nightmaze" off pretty well..or decent.
And well as Goo said they have added the lights (used in Asylum in Wonderland) to this scareozne but I hope they use a strobe like effect =P

Thankfully I've never had to dela with drunks or anyting unpleasant in any line. I only had to deal with htiso ne perosn who was smoking in line but no biggie....security took care of it in a blink of an eye.

I'll remeber this! I absolutely LOVE Katy Perry!!! Do you guys think we'll have the old "We will rock you " song like in previous years?? Or do you guys think we'll get the "remix" version of "we will rock you" (the one they used last year) ??? I hope they stivk to the original one!

Party Rock Anthem I think will be one of the major songs. Either opening dance number or finale. I don't have any inside info or anything but that song is everywhere.
Ugh, I hate that song! I used to like it but I've heard it soo many times (radio and I've had to dance/performe to it alot) that I can't stand it, lol. But they'll probably use it for the end...like the last song! I could see them using E.T. - Katy Perry for the opening dance, idk!

I've been on vacations (here in Orlando) and I haven't been here in a looooong time for well obvious reaosns (vacations) I would just like to know if we have anything concrete at all or at least some semi solid rumors or SOMETHING. Please send me a private message to tell me what we have/don't have. Please and thank yous!!!
Oh and I went to Universal Studios on June 17th and I saw that they had started constrution in Disaster and Jaws and well the Facades from the tents (Nothing too interesting or new..I know) .

EDIT: Of course, they'd have to make it Rated R (or at least PG-13) for the event.
It's already PG-13 as it is..might as well make it rated R for HHN.?

Psychoscareapy last year had 2 paths right around the end of the house.....but I think they actually pulled that one off.

Think about it: a DVD collection with a series of short films, each pertaining to a different icon. They wouldnt have to be big budget or anything; we dont need super incredible graphics or big name actors to make it great.
They did do a series of short films for the icons back in '06 for Sweet 16. I think they were a part of marketing (correct me if i'm wrong.).

I really do wish HHN went back to how it was during 2008. Reflections of Fear was my first HHN ever and dare I say one of the best years (if not THE BEST). I just loved all the marketing and BLOODY MARY, she had an extremely good backgorund. The whole website enetertained me the whole summer with all it's weekly updates and such. All the haunted houses were all different yet they tied in with the theme. Plus our icon was truely terrifying! Hmmmm, I just miss ROF soo much I wish I could relive that year or have a year just like it.

id like a scene where for a zombie SZ you can have a actor dressed as a guest with fake organs and blood packs under the clothing and the zombies would chase this person down(given that the scareactors know their targets) and tackle them down and start ripping them apart and making the blood spill all over which then that actor as a guest will eventually rise as a zombie! Sounds like alot of fun and does have its flaws but fun to imagine. It can be used to make the atomosphere more intense for the time.
This kind of reminds how in 2008 in the Asylum in Wonderland you could see the white rabbit with bloo dripping from him mouth and at other ties t was clean.....so it was like he had just fed off someone.?

I don't know about you guys but for me Body Collectors: Collections from the Past ('08) was a pretty cold house....I remember going in and saying "it's cold!" haha XD

At USF in the bone yard if I remember correctly...Also I believe it was called Rat Run not Rat Race...
You're right, it is/was Rat Run XD my bad. And well the boneyard wasn't really in the way of the main crowds (I think?) so thats why it worked....but were could they do something similar to Rat Run or outdoors maze type scarezone this year or any coming year with how the park looks now. ???

Also, a scarezone that could be a mini maze of some sort, possibly with obstacles like hanging chains or whatever, with wooden crate-like walls and fog with strobes. That would be an awesome scarezone. Queen Mary's event in Long Beach, California did something like that at the entrance.
That would be soo cool! But as much as it huts to write this I don't really see them doing that cause of the problems with the crowds plus the park running normally doing the day. I could be wrong though (hopefully, caus eit would be awosme)

How did you discover/find out about Halloween Horror Nights?
Well, I had first heard of it when I was little (can't remember what age exactly..guessing around pre-school), my mom and and two of her friends were going and I remember I told her I wanted to go (obviously not knowing wht exactly it was at the time but since i had the word halloween in it..it sounded appealing to me). She didn't take me though....and it wasn't til 2006 when I was talking to my cousin on the phone and I asked her what she had done over the weekend (she answered that she went to HHN with some friends) and I completely had an epiphany and a flashback and realized I knew what she was talking about. I totally wanted to go sooooo bad. I spent that whole week asking her about HHN and what it was like, etc. I tried going in 2007 but couldn't so finally in 2008 i went and loved it soo much. Been ging ever since.

Going to Halloween Horror Nights for my first time (Halloween Horror Nights 18: Reflections of Fear) , getting my first scare ever (Creatures, guy behind motorcycle) and this past year (HHN: XX) gong with htis big group of people. We had such a fun time going through the houses and running and screaming!!

I think we won't be seeing anything from last year...yet. I think they want to start the 'new era of darkness" with never before been seen stuff. Maybe in a year or two we might see some of the houses/scarezones from XX return.? Ohh, and I ask you guys this...when do you guys think we will be getting some solid evidence, rumors, leaks etc??? Do we have anything yet??
