  1. Ok people lets get to work

If you’re looking for some fun
    You can choose from 41

What awaits for this year’s fright?
    The data is very light
So from my flames, I’ll arise
    To remove a little guise

For now, we only know a day
Of when it is, they’ll have a say
    Undercover in this riddle
    Rationed out, the pieces little

Each line hiding part of the clue
Look very closely at the view
Expect that you will be quite pleased
    Visually, with how it’s teased
    Echoing last year’s template
Not really sure what we’ll get

  2. Whatever house they announce is going to fit the theme. Last year was 80s. If this is an urban legends or similar themed year we might get an original first. I dont think they will announce stranger things first unless its paired with something else. With this hhn starting earlier and them rolling out prices as well I can see an announcement at the end of the month or mid March. I FEEL like they are going to announce something soon but not something like a house or ip. Keeping my fingers crossed for an icon.

  3. Official list

Chicken - Death Proof ("I'm going to have to file you under chicken shit")

Onyx - Teen Wolf (Onyx means claw in latin)

Salt - Deep Blue Sea (salt water)

    Drill - Overlord (army drill)

Dog - Kujo (need I say more)

    Cotton - Hellfest (cotton candy)

Pit - Silence of the Lambs ("It puts the lotion in the basket")

    Pressure - Christine (gets crushed)

Jerky - Motel Hell (renowned meats)

Hysteria - The Happening ("What... noooo")

Obviously my personal bias speaking, but pink & blue together immediately makes me think of Dario Argento's love for utilizing lighting in those particular colors.

More realistically, it could have been a reference to that split-house rumor.

I happened to be watching a review of the movie. the bright pink room stands out

     They Live Alien?
I would be so excited and have strong desire to work or attend if they had " they live " house.

I love and enjoy that film.
If they could just do best John C. films minus Halloween.
I would have my favorite house.
They could do it in 3D. It has been 2 years since the last 3D house.
They dropped the ball of 80's theme 3D house last year.
I mean in total there was only 5  ? 3d houses could this be the return of 3d house?

murdy has said no 3d (for hollywood) but i cant help but think orlando will also not continue with 3d

Welp guess who just happened to return lol, what could this mean?

I just googled pink and blue and it gave me a movie "Pink and Blue, Colors of Hereditary Cancer"
I really have no clue if this is a hint towards a Hereditary house. Haven't seen the movie.

No clue what the rhyme will lead to... talk about the most weird hint ever

  6. Getting pumped with QA (hollywood)

    Quotes

    Announcements sooner than we think

Acquired an IP they've had their eyes on for a while

Getting a maze we've all been waiting for

    No walking dead zombies

    No scare zone plans

Brand new ips to the event

    Conjuring not happening

Potentially a maze based on a lesser known favorite like trick r treat "some you might not even be thinking of"

    A maze with snow

    Properties 15-20 years old appearing

    No 5 nights at Freddie's

    No freddy or jason

    No 3d house

  7. The pattern seems to be the TV show that everyone is watching, movie coming out soon, movie that came out recently and is still being talked about to attract the masses, the movie with someone iconic that anyone would recognize (the titans of terror for example), and the cult classic/old horror film that will attract the hardcore fans.

You can substitute any of those for each other.

It will also be well rounded, not too many that are similar. You'll have your comedy horror, gore horror, sci-fi horror, anyone can relate horror, suspense/psychological horror, supernatural horror, and so on (I really could go on).

It's nice to have comedy to lighten the event up a bit and give people breaks but I also feel like that's what the scare zones should be. KKfS and the Chucky zones were perfect and I also liked the Purge ones too in the past. In the future I see the zones becoming less 'scary' and more atmospheric, calm, photo ops (because come on, free marketing).

  8. Thinking about shows again. Love AoV but still wanted that comedy that left with Bill and Ted. If we get an icon next year would there potentially be more of a show revolving around them? If it was the usher maybe a cool cinematic of old and new horror mixed with his previous dialogue and murder scenes? I'm not sure what else they could do but just s thought.

Another note, if AoV comes back what could their theme be? Loved the asylum but I'm always ready for old Victorian ghosts. I can only imagine how cool a mix of classical dance and hip hop would be. And the costumes of course. Again I guess it depends on the theme next year.

Anyone remember when they updated the website previous years to the new theming?

  9. I'm just watching Red Dragon wishing they'd do a Silence of the Lambs or other Hannibal related house. There are tons of movies that would make good houses. I feel like The Thing will always be on peoples list. I would also love more horror/thriller video game houses in the future as well. With their NINTENDO friendship... maybe we will get to see more after all. I do feel like with the rise of Netflix, Hulu and the like we will start to see more tv series. I mean, it gives them something to come back to every year (with new seasons). They've had great success with all of the shows... maybe except one... but I loved Ash Vs Evil Dead and AHS.

On another note, I don't think what made the Chucky zone so fun would make a good house. I love this humor and craziness. Unless they had some really good one-liners I would rather see it as a repeat attraction or zone.

Yeah, I think if they had It they still do. If Trick r Treat is still on the table, there isn't an issue with Warner brothers in general.

I didn't think they will do trick r treat and Halloween I feel like the ifrits hints points to one or the other

Why does everyone assume Murdy would hint at losing the biggest potential get they could have ever gotten?

I remember last year he was publicly upset about having to change things last minute

I wanna know where stranger this ha will be. Where shining was last year?

I change my mind about something changing...

The game must always be agile
And now that things have gotten strange
You wait for answers on a change"
