  1. Hello. I was interested if anyone went to HHN IX and went in the Insanity house. I know it was located in Soundstage 22 with Psycho and that there are two photos of concept artwork, but  I was wondering if anyone went in the house and still remembered any details of it. I also saw that they let people in the house in groups of 15-20 instead of a congo line, turned off the lights, and ran something fuzzy against peoples legs to scare them until the crowds got so bad they stopped doing that. If anyone has any details on the house or could confirm or debunk them letting guests in through groups I would appreciate it. Thanks!

  2. Do you guys think that Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark could possibly come to the event? CBS has the rights for the movie, but I am not sure if they have ever worked with Halloween Horror Nights before. From what I've seen they are not owned by a bigger company that has issues working with Universal.

Edit: I also know its a relatively kid-friendly IP, and with Stranger Things it may attract the wrong audience, but I think the actual stories are pretty dark and would work for the event. The trailer looks like it has good material.

Hmm, today is Us's "prerelease" date (seeing it at 7:30 tonight, woo!). Universal has really gone all-in promoting it and clearly expects it to be a moneymaker. If we were to get a grand 1st announcement today, I actually think the odds are high that it's Us-related vs. Stranger Things-related.

They can hold out on releasing a ST2 announcement because the hype is already there from last year's debut. Us would be a whole new property they can cross-promote and generate early interest from a different sub-audience through.

Seems like the setpieces are unique enough to form it's own house too, if Blumhouse is willing to let that happen.

I feel like if anything we would probably get it in another blumhouse compilation house if anything. I still think we may get a ST announcement first, as it would start building hype for the event, as we all know last years numbers were pretty high and some of it was probably from ST.  I also think that a lot of people are going to go into Us thinking it has a political message like Get Out (although from the reviews it looks like it doesn't) and I'm not sure if universal wants to start a possible controversy around that. I really don't know though, and like you said, Universal has really been pushing the movie, so I guess we will just have to see.

  4. Since universal owns the rights to The Simpsons,  could there be any chance we could ever see a scare-zone or even better, a new simulation for treehouse of horror for The Simpsons ride? I know it would probably be hard to do a scare zone with the fact that they have to portray 2D characters in 3D,  but a few years ago I thought I heard rumblings of a overlay or a new simulation for the Simpsons Ride. I guess its just wishful thinking, but I honestly think that they could market to a audience by using the treehouse of horror. I don't know if this would be the right audience though, as it may bring some small children to the event.

Charlie Sheen’s House Of Horrors, ET’s left nut, Disaster! Returns, Carnosaur:River  Adventure, La La Land, Lights Out, Last Jedi. More of the lineup coming soon.

It just got leaked that there will be a Furby scarezone! (that would seriously scare me though)
