  1. For the past few years, the Eyegore Awards (Opening Night) as well as Employee Preview are chances for Media teams to check out the event in a special way. Every single year Orlando has a media team that will head out to the events and check out the event from a special media version of the event.

This year I propose Hollywood has its own media team that can not only check out the event and bring full live coverage, but they can also give you first hand reviews, podcasts, hell even a few contests here and there! (maybe a special vip tour for 2 or more people ;) )

This will ALSO include other events such as Knotts Scary Farm, Six Flags Fright Fest, Sinister Pointe, Queen Mary's Dark Harbor Etc

If you guys are with the idea, I say lets get it going. I've talked with Freak personally about this before so if you are all on the ball with it then HNN Live will be spawned!

    Let the Nightmares begin!

  2. Welcome Alessa! I'm almost 99.99% sure Rosemary's Baby would never be a maze at Universal -- or anywhere for that matter. You said it best, "hard to believe it'd even be considered." haha Just doesn't have any of the qualities Murdy and Co. look for when making a maze.

As you said on the Poltergeist/Exorcist thing, I keep teetering between the two of them as well. But my money's on La Llorona returning. If it comes back in a brand new house, that'd actually be really bad ass -- but I doubt it.

As for Quigley, I'm 75% sure it's Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Might even be Poltergeist (there it is again, that movie!!!). I just know that it MIGHT be Tobe Hooper directed and those are the only 2 viable horror movies worth replicating into a maze.

I'm still trying to piece some of my favorites to the codenames (Scream, Trick 'r Treat, Alien, Evil Dead, The Descent) but no luck :(

    ----------------------------------------------------------

Anywho, I was doing some digging and found an interesting post from Tmrw:

I feel like I can finally add my thoughts/speculations to what may/may not come next year

remember this is only wishful thinking, however, if it comes to it that next year its official. remember I called it first

    Mazes: 7 (thats right..7)

    Dracula: Legacy in Blood (HoH)

Hostel: Elite Rising ( Shrek Que ) (DO NOT THINK OF IT AS SAW:Game who gives a shit, New EVERYTHING.)

The Exorcist or Poltergeist (A liddo birdie told me we officially KNOW where the rights are) (T-2 Que)

Halloween - Return To Haddonfield (WWW)

Texas Chainsaw Massacre: Flesh Wounds (Mummy Extended)

Alice Cooper: Living Nightmare (JP Que)

Zombieville: The Dead Rising (Spartacus Square/Terror Tram option)

Terror Tram: ( No Theme just yet) : Location. Bates Motel, Whoville, Wisteria Lane, 6 Points, ending Kong.

Out of everything I've heard going around, all the rumors, all the facts, all the shit I CAN AND CANNOT say

theres something I know for a fact........but that shall have to wait.

    ---------------------------------------------

Is it just me or does it seem like Tmrw was/is on the right track? Trade Zombieville for Walking Dead (unless it IS Zombieville, haha), switch some of the locations around, replace Silent Hill with Hostel, and looking at the early spec for TCM, Exorcist and Poltergeist -- he might've practically given us the whole event back in November!!!

The force is strong with this one. However this was only Speculation/Wishful Thinking.

As of now, the answers seem clear to us all, but give it time, maybe the connections are true, from a certain point of view.

  3. Its true, Bloody Disgusting is usually always "in the know" when it comes to HHN, they announced Wolfman and La Llorona last year before anyone even heard of the names, HOTC and Jason in 2010, SAW and Halloween franchise in early 2009.

Usually when they do an article, the info has been sent out to companies early to prep for an article or statement from USH

  4. Energy! Lack of Inhibition! Ability to follow directions!

Another bit of advice though, if you're male and under 6 foot, try extra hard. If you're 6 foot or taller, you're made in the shade.

Awesome thanks for the advice man !

So being 6'2 will help me out a bit ? :o

Its true, I'm only 5'7 5'8ish and I had to push as hard as possible, its more of being able to keep your stamina going even if your tired, you need to show you have the energy and ability to scare. its not a simple 1 2 punch, its a brutal workout mixed with high levels on intensity, you gotta want it and strive for it!

  5. Trust me even outside in que lines guests cant control themselves, from what I heard last year, both Natalia and Svetlana were threatened by female guests as they "flirted" their way through the lines, one Reaper was caught in the middle of a fight between guests, A female scareactor was kicked in the stomach at Terror Tram.

Even if we had scareactors in the que (which I would love to see) it would be hard without security backing them up or without anyone else there to help them. i'm one who would know this after sliding last year in the Mummy Que (guest threw a soda bottle at me and I threw it right back) xD

  6. A random thought, what if instead of putting scareactors on jurassic park, they put scareactors in the areas outside the queue. They could have people with dinosaur puppets pop out, or dismembered scientist. They can even do the same with the mummy.

this has been thought of, however its a safety hazard to scareactors, ever since the tram incident, and multiple incidents that ALREADY happen in the park, it wont be done.

  7. Its that time of year again, with the First Maze being released in less than 2 weeks,

and with Bill and Ted returning by popular demand

what would you like to see this year for 2012

LOTS of Superhero Movies came out this summer

    Multiple comedies (TED)

    A few shitty love stories

and even a few vampires came out :o

Lets speculate away and see what will be showing up this year at HHN 2012

  8. where is this coming from? I cant see any of this on twitter

the only hints I see are

Maze 1: A Smiths song that was very conterversal on an album that was released in Febuary= "Suffer Little Children" that was Released on the self titled Album "The Smiths" relased Febuary 20th 1984 which was a song about real life murders that took place in the Moores of Manchester, a man and a woman murdered and buried 4 children and maybe more.

Maze 2: A NFL Team that has never won a superbowl, a "Classic Cowboy" and A Property that hasnt been done in Murdy's 6 year run of HHN

Im sorry but I dont get where these other songs are coming from I dont se them on twitter

also someone ask murdy about TrT and he said

@jjgx13 I love the film, has its challenges (sam, school bus kids are all child-sized...really tough to cast). Not saying no but tough

Im gonna say The Smiths is Trick r Treat

try refreshing the twitter app or looking inbetween @ replys to other people

They are on there you just have to look closely

  9. ^I think a Hellraiser house would be amazing if what you're saying is true. The only thing is, Murdy has been saying that Maze #2 would have a "CRAZY" facade and that it would require a lot of space; that tells me it would be going in where T2 is. coming from someone who has only seen the first Hellraiser, I'm not really sure how the facadew ould work out other than it being the giant house.

Following true to the first movie it does take place in a house, however

think about HOTC. The House Facade was placed within the maze, and it has a big enough area to make a grand entrance

maybe to hell? or maybe even deep into the Laminet Config*

as for the internal structures, it would be easy having "chains" hang. they did it very easily with the ropes of meat hanging the past few years. and leaving the "tunnels" as the ruins of hell could work 0.o

you guys are mixing up the hints the one that never have been done with Murdy's HHN is the "NFL" hint not the Smiths hint

all point to a figure of Heaven/Hell

including the final track which was Welcome to the Jungle

Your task is to figure out what song and what PROPERTY it points to. It was top 100 hit from 1987. The window for guessing is open till 10PM

Last lyric hint. "You're gonna bleed but its the price to pay" What do these songs have in common? They all share 1 thing in common.

"Sign O The Times" by Prince. "If I Should Fall From Grace From God" by the Pogues. What do these SONGS have in common? "Lyric Hint #3 at 3

Here's the next lyric hint "a skinny man died of a big disease" what do these songs have in common?

Correct "If I Should Fall From Grace" by The Pogues. Second hint @ 12.

Here's the 1st lyric hint for maze 2 code name. "Bury me at sea, where no murdered ghost can haunt me" What do these songs have in common?"

  10. after going through the hints and looking over past properties I realized a name that was also on the survey

    Clive Barker.

    He's done 3 mazes in HHN's past: CB's Hell. CB's Freakz, and CB's Harvest

which then I asked myself, how is it that the hints match up to each other.

Well all 3 songs were released in 1987. that same year only 3 Horror Movie titles came out

    Evil Dead 2

    Prince of Darkness

    and....oh yea.....Hellraiser....

"Explorers in the further regions of experience. Demons to some. Angels to others"

All I can say.....expect something big coming very very soon

  11. Just to add in a few touchy details, lets start with some basic facts

    1. This year Transformers will be open during HHN, HOWEVER the Lower Lot Mummy Que maze will ALSO be open

Transformers has a big enough que line to hold an equivalence to both The Simpsons and JP. this includes the exterior que and the interior que lines

With that being said I can see how the line will be formed for Mummy Que and how the maze can be played out

    2. as for the reference of Dante's Inferno, the story itself is based off of Dante and his path through the 9 levels of Hell, His path through Purgatory and then finally to Heaven

however Murdy has stated hes using it as a reference to something hes creating on his own, IF what I know is true, and although I can't say what it is, the answer may be ALOT closer than you think, connect the clues. everyone keep your prayers ready, In the Name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.....

    3. As for the SS usage, that will NOT be happening, NBC Universal has already sold the soundstage to a production crew for a new film, can't say what exactly but I know all soundstages are out of the question until usage becomes available. with this being said, there are some places that ARE open to use, you just got to think where and how.

    4. Terror Tram: This is gonna be a big one for us this year, its still up in the air on whether or not the relocation can be used or not. If the relocation does happen DO NOT expect to see more places than we have already.

any other questions i'll be happy to answer :)

my speculation list is already set and complete as well as a few scarezones, however that is something we'll have to wait and see ;)

  12. K, I'm stepping in. I can only assume the other judges must've fallen off the planet, been abducted by aliens or have been captured by Jigsaw. As sad as all that may be, "the show must go on."

Judges have until noon Monday the 19th to get their critiques/scores in or I'll have to find at least one other judge.

Sorry DTH but some of us have ALOT of work lately (especially with Grinchmas)

so its been a bit hard for us to post on a daily basis

however I have my critiques so everyone can relax

    ILuvStabWounds

    1. Creativity - 18 points - I love the idea of having a Wedding Themed event in place, usage of Orlando based characters mixed with original character concepts is great, blown away by some of the backstories, however I don't think the guest would be to involved with each character and know their background, its almost like a Knotts feel. (houses with characters we dont even know about) but that leads me to my 3rd point.

    2. Originality (9 points - Theres ALOT of originality in this post, don't get me wrong I LOVE the way the event portrays itself, however re usage of a Campsite in WWW is what gets me >.<

    3. Theme (10 points - I'll give you full points for your theme as you went into depth and detail with the theme, however alot of the characters wouldn't be known by much guests, especially LT so think of a way to let the guests know who they really are before advancing forward

    4. Mazes (15 points - This is whats really gonna hurt you, 5 mazes are in soundstages that are off-limits entirely, The quality of the mazes however are amazing and I cannot wait to see what you can bring in the next round.)

    5. Shows (8 points - I'll give you all points as you pushed in the shows department, however the entire highschool theme is making it a bit of a drag, two shows (including opening) based off of them isn't really scary.....especially with the fact that other teens will try and tag along, and after what I saw this past year, Yeeeaaaa not a good idea. But I'll credit you for changing where the Icon spot is as well as Harold and Kumar :)

    6. Scare Zones (11 points - Only reason i'm knockin a few points is Central Park has yet to be built yet, as well as it seems as if we're losing a scarezone for an opening scareamony in lower lot.

    7. Terror Tram (13 points - Not too much is given just that it has LT involved and its centered around the Toluca Lake murders, i'll dock two points due to the fact of no knowledge of where the tram will take place, with this being said its hard to see how it will take place in such areas,)

    Total - 84 points

    More judging to come

  13. Sorry i've been away for a while, I've been having some business to take care of

anyway as for the 3 events so far you guys are doing incredible

HOWEVER. the only thing is i see ALOT of repeating each others themes or past game themes

I know its not against the rules to do that, however keep in mind we're looking for originality

and don't get me wrong i absolutely LOVE what you all have pushed forward so far

I can't wait till the next round when I see it all in full and can judge you guys :)

  14. Honestly I don't want La Llorona back

and theres no chance we're getting The Thing back (confirmed by John)

After over viewing the survey multiple times

    and seeing different out comes

I can narrow it down to this

    3 Major Movie Properties

    3 Original Mazes

Possible 7th house is starting to seem unlikely due to Terror Tram complaints

However it has occurred to me that the space that is likely to be used for a maze INSTEAD of Terror Tram

has the capacity to hold 2 houses, which means

    IF WE LOSE TERROR TRAM

We'll have 1 extra house with most likely SoundStage Quality (Icon House)

Now theres been movies we've all been wanting for next year

some which include 1 repeat (based off a new movie)

1 that everyones been dying for

1 that all the gp keeps complaining for (not a repeat)

    With the Original Mazes however

    I expect this

    1 repeat (not la llorona)

    1 based off a scarezone

    1 in combination with someone

lets see if this all plays out well
