  1. So this was brought up quite a while ago but I'm bringing it back just because of me thinking about it. Do you think the event could be extended an additional weekend until November 7th? There's a lot of evidence that points towards it. Maze monitor job going until the 7th, why would it need to go until then because mazes won't run after HHN closes. As well there's the two unannounced FFP dates that John says will happen at the end of the run of the event.

That would be VERY interesting, honestly...

  2. I agree 100% Freak.

Another thing that could be contributing is the fact that the "Deals" are only online, while it's not a big deal for people like us who plan our next as earlier as November (lol) but a lot of GP go last minute hell last year like 5 people joined us the morning of and bought full priced tickets at the gate. You can get coupons at Burger King but I would of never knew unless I parked in front of one. Remember when Del Taco and Jack in The Box had the coupons and HHN collector's cups? It was mentioned on radio commercial, website, and billboards. Hell you could get a physical ticket at Food 4 Less, Vons, Ralphs, and even Hot Topic for the exact same price as online. Every store in Orlando sells their Horror Nights tickets why did we stop? Make the discounts easily available. Then also the scraped college nights.

Marketing has been terrible (espeacially this year) it's like they relay entirerly on social media and a hand full of billboards

I miss buying tickets at the stores... Cheaper than buying at the gates

  3. There may be some HHN fatigue with how the mazes use the same old scare tactics and with the super long lines to see them not being worth it.

That's the number one complaint I hear.
From people who go every year: "The scares are repetitive and stop being scary by the second or third maze because I catch on, etc..."
From people who are new to it: "The lines are too long, so by the time I'm in the maze, I'm not in the mood for it anymore."

Then there's the higher up tickets, with FOL costing more for less mazes and not being able to repeat, and VIP being gone so there's less perks for those who want them.

All around, the event is getting less and less enjoyable, no matter what ticket there is. I think the event will be a big enough success to continue for many years, but I think there will be an inevitable downfall within the next decade if things continue on this streak.

They need to bring back VIP and add MORE shows and mazes.. 6/1 was an acceptable ratio in 2011, it's downright laughable in 2015..

  4. oh my bad Steve-O from Jackass is playing the Bride in Black.

Side note anyone else noticed that this year is not selling out? Out of the 9 days so far only 2 days sold out, and as of now (12:15am..15 minutes after midnight) you can still buy a ticket for tonight's event with only 2 hours left you can still get in... yikes!

Just to cement the fact that I'm 20 something.... it was a TV show that had movies lol

I noticed the tickets not selling as well as they used to.. Wow, this doesn't look good...

  5. First seriously they need to stop trying to be hip... who the hell is ruining  running everything this year? Jabawokeez? MTV kids? Netflix and chill? God that kid running the SC is annoying "This Maze is Hype!" is that seriously the kid who broke into Halloween? Only good thing out of that fiasco is they fixed the boo holes in TITE they added black curtains and Emma Watson is a trigger scare now.

I'm convinced HHN Hollywood is now run by 4Chan and TMZ..

  6. Another thing...

I get this Hollywood and especially this event having a lot of movies based mazes but I think it's time to move away from all this celebrity bull shit.  I'm looking up videos of the event and spammed with "What does this MTV teeny bopper think is scary...from the HHN red carpet". I have 2 problems with 1.) like everything good HHN has given us The Eye Gores were taken away so why is their a need for a red carpet? all you're doing is delaying a SZ. 2.) Honestly if you have no connection to horror or Universal films why should I care? I mean a few people get a pass like Jamie Kennedy and David Arquette and a few minor people who have something to do with upcoming horror films or people from Universal movies like Jurassic World or Straight out of Compton. Side note poor Travis Barker he looked liked they forced him on the red carpet he showed up with his kids just to be asked dumb questions and his kids looked like they just wanted to be in the mazes already I mean the dude came obviously just to take his kids and have a good time not be asked about Tom Deloung. Besides I saw none who had anything to do with the mazes... No Leigh W., No James Wan, No Franco, No Nicatero just this kid from Teen Wolf (I also have a point about the MTV satrs and such but I'll save that for later.)

It's Simple no Eye gore no red carpet time and effort can be placed on A LOT of other things that need it. Perfectly fine to have an album on your FB or Instagram of celebrities at the event maybe a quick interview for the end of the year "What people think of HHN" video but lets not make them the main focus any more.

I am honestly surprised (yet not surprised) that the Eyegore Awards didn't return this year.. I wonder what the reason might be?

  7. You guys would be disappointed with the information Murdy told us about shows... (at least told Walking Dead).

Just tell us already!! We want to know!!

After seeing Orlando's Carnival of Carnage I hate Jabawokees even more

You and me both!! Jack's Carnival show is GLORIOUS!!

  8. I only see Freddy, Jason and TWD. They show each of them multiple times. Based on the shot at 0:41, it clearly shows just three cages. One to the North, one to the East, and one to the West. South is where Chance walked in and Jack is sitting in the corner.

Chance is looks awesome and I am so glad they finally gave her some screen time! They are a perfect duo. Jack without Chance just feels wrong and I am so happy they included her. I wonder if she will also be in the maze?

They're not in cages, the victims see them briefly before Jack goes "Looks like I win... again!"

  9. I still think it's too silly. Would've been great on London or French street.

But ya know what I noticed this year, guys? No clowns! (Unless they're in the Purge tram or some shit!)

I noticed that too! Either A) Murdy wanted to wash his hands of the concept for a year after how badly Clowns 3D bombed or B) He didn't want people thinking Jack was going to show up this year so he decided no Clowns/Klownz at the event, period
