Before the terror tram is announced, does anyone have any guesses on what it might be. It's an  original concept but it doesn't hurt to throw in any possible ideas.

My ultimate wishful thinking ever since Exorcist and the Big 4 were announced was that the Terror Tram would be hosted by either The Director or The Usher and feature them bringing the movie characters to life as part of the overall storyline for the event (It's been so long, we're overdue for a storyline again).. but who knows?

Both of these posts are complete jokes. I'll address this once but everyone should ignore this troll. First off, whether or not you find something scary is irrelevant, properties are chosen based off of how they can work at horror nights.

Second, don't try to tell us some bullshit about how you run a traveling agency and 27 people called in to switch locations off aid a scarezone. Even if you do work at a traveling agency and someone called to switch because of this, no fucking way that number is 27. And I just realized you can't book anything because tickets aren't on fucking sale yet, so I won't even get into how you'd lose money even though they would pay you to switch venues.

Third, ticket sales have been rapidly falling, really, look at the lines and say that.

Fourth, I know it's your opinion but the lineup from 2007 was better. Even though 3/4 of the properties are being used this year with even more stuff. Idk even know what the hell your talking about with the 2nd and 3rd line from the 2nd post.

This is a thread for speculation and some discussion, not bullshit. You said some really fucking absurd things about Murdy and the team.

To add to your counter-argument, Foodstamps... He said there was a Purge Tram in 2007.. The Purge didn't even exist back in 2007.. How can you do a Terror Tram based on an IP that didn't exist at the time and wouldn't exist for another 6 years? 2007's Tram was Jack The Clown presents Freddy, Jason and Leatherface

I don't think so  Krampus and the house have the Windows set 2 short 1 long 2 short

while FVJ house just 6 short straight considering how most facades might be houses this year I'm sure they can just go with Crystal Lake as a facade that's just my opinion tho

What was Orlando's facade for FVJ anyways?

From the videos, it looks like the FvJ facade was the Crystal Lake sign and the cabin.. then midway through the maze, it transitioned from Jason into Freddy via 1428 Elm Street

  4. HHN fans, time for an update courtesy of the latest Twitter Q&A with John Murdy. Here's a quick rundown:

*We lost Soundstage 747 because of "production needs" so the maze will instead go right outside of 747, my guess is where the queue would have normally gone..
*Scarezones will be done differently this year out of necessity.
*There are two specific "big puppets" that will feature in the mazes.
*The maze codenamed "Doris Day" will be going in the tent outside Soundstage 747.
*The Jurassic Park queue maze will be the next one announced, after Walking Dead opens.
*The Exorcist maze will make you feel like you're possessed.
*The Terror Tram is still an original story but now they've joined forces with an "entity"..
    * No musician mazes but John talked to Slash on the phone today.. does that count? LOL
*Walking Dead will feature special effects that could never be pulled off in an HHN maze and yes, part of the maze was designed to be changeable depending on where the show goes in the future.

That does sound cool. Didn't they use to do this at some point as well?

Yes, 2007-2009 was when they'd bring all the characters into the Terror Tram and the Tram would serve as the backstory for the whole event.. 2010 was the first time Murdy decided to go with a "mixed bag of random IPs" approach to the event and the Tram has been "just another attraction" ever since.. granted, one could argue that TWD trams tied into the maze/scarezone for a theme but that wouldn't take anything else into account.. so it was TWD experience.. and random mazes/scarezones..

As I said on a couples posts ago, I heard from a direct source that the main theme for this year is horror icons. So maybe all the famous slashers, including Ghostface and Leatherface, could be coming to the terror tram this year. Just speculation but it could actually happen.

Terror Tram: All Nite Die-In? That'd be awesome!

With a new announcement a new change!

    The announced

The announced: Second coming (Tent 2)

The Announced: The returning (Tent 3)

    The unannounced: The return (Parade)

    The unannounced: The expected

    The unannounced: The requeling

    The unannounced: Claustrophic jewel

    The unknown

    Shall not be named

How are they gonna fit all 6 seasons into a Sprung Tent?

  8. A quick rundown from Murdy's latest Q&A:
*The Exorcist is confirmed for the Revenge of the Mummy extended queue (Hostel, SAW, Texas 07/08).
*Codename: Wisconsin is located in the Jurassic Park extended queue and will most likely be the next maze announced after Walking Dead attraction opens.
*Terror Tram will most likely be an original concept Terror Tram that he's been working on the idea for UNLESS he gets outvoted on.
*Soundstage 747 will have a maze that will be announced later down the line. He hints that the maze IP is big/wild enough to require a Soundstage.
*No music house or comedy house.. THIS YEAR at least..
*Exorcist maze will take inspiration from the "banned trailer" .

*The password maze will be on the backlot this year.

Technically, we're still getting WD thanks to TWDA. But I agree, it seems like that USH will have an incredible year so-far.

From what it seems; I doubt that we're ever going to get Scream. Especially considering that Orlando and Hollywood rumored to of had major issues with the rights holder; Dimension.

And it's sad because Scream is one of the most maze-able horror franchises, like ever.

I really hope they go all out and have completely uncensored sound bytes from the film.

I'm going first weekend. God knows everyone is gonna be offended to high heaven with this maze and it'll be toned down to nothing by After Party.

Lmao, that's so true.. but this is The Exorcist, dammit! It was vulgar and vile back in the day and that vulgarity still packs a punch to this day! Like you said, DTH, let's hope they go all out with this.

  10. After watching an old video of HHN 13's All Nite Die In maze/house, I find it interesting that the way the classic horror/slasher IP mazes are being presented for the Orlando event is pretty much identical to the order in which they appeared in that maze.. starting with Halloween in 2014, then Freddy vs. Jason last year (even starting the maze off with Jason/Crystal Lake then transitioning to Freddy/1428 Elm Street like in 2003's maze), then Texas Chain Saw rounding it off this year.. I love little co-incidences like this whenever they occur at either Park/event :D

  11. Some tidbits from the HHN Hollywood Q&A on Twitter last night:

    1. All IPs this year

    2. No direct repeats or "back by popular demand" mazes this year

    3. No comedy mazes ala This Is The End this year

    4. AWIL was supposed to be in 2012

    5. They did save lots of UCM props and set pieces before House of Horrors got destroyed

    6. Jurassic Park queue maze has already been designed and teased as an absolutely "killer" maze

    7. Mummy queue will be used again for a maze

    8. Deals are still being made for the line-up

    9. There is one maze that Murdy is "absolutely afraid to design"

Is that not the same thing?

I'm also curious why Hollywood IPs and Orlando doesn't enjoy them as much (not that I disagree).

People have asked Murdy "why IP-based?" countless times since HHN Hollywood began.. or re-began, technically and his answer is always "Because that's what makes us different and unique from the other haunts" and how, especially in Los Angeles where the Haunt market is massive, this helps HHN Hollywood stand out from everything else offered.
