Okay so it seems like the casting emails are very random & NOT done by last name. Maybe location? Ugh.... so frustrating not knowing their method. Because I'll apply for "event staff" or something in the park if I had a better idea of whether or not I will be cast or not. :chainsaw:

There are still veteran performers that have not been casted  yet.  So it could be very random.

@Darktigerlone Did you guys get any hint at whether you were street or maze? Or was it just the basic paperwork/into the system filing?

No we didn’t get an idea where we’re going to be placed its just basic paperwork.

What if someone calls the Talent Office to figure out if they got in or not?

They will probably respond that emails come out in waves and that there’s multiple days of Casting.

So a friend of mine who's been a scareactor in the past suggested that the emails are being sent out in alphabetical order by last name, but that doesn't seem right... Besides, if that was the case, I definitely didn't get cast since mine is "B" <_<

For those of you that got your casting email. Out of curiosity of his theory.... what letter does your last name start with?

Those of you like me that are still waiting, what letter is your last name?

My last name starts with a B

  3.  It’s very rare that they send out emails on the weekend but as of today they are still sending out emails is just the emails do come out late. They typically  start sending around 4 o’clock to the latest 8 o’clock and the closer they get to the event the emails start getting send out in the morning. I got mines at 8:09 pm in the first round.  So don’t lose hope .

  4.  Today at my paperwork session I only seen one girl that was a veteran  so it could be going out by location but I also saw some new hires. Their are a lot of Veterans I know that have not got their  emails  neither.

All I can say is be patient and don’t lose hope. I don’t know what their procedure is this year of how they are sending out emails. Keep in mind they will continue to pick  performers all the way up to the event start and after.

In some cases you could get a email on the first week of the event. Come in Sept 14th do paperwork, orientation, and a quick rehearsal to start on that day. In the past 3 years I saw it happen.

Any idea how they have decided to send out emails? Is it alumni first? In order of auditions days? Tall/Short/Special Skills priority? Just curious how long we should be looking out for emails and holding off on long term plans if we gave fully open availability. I am new to LA and this is my first year auditioning so I am new to the HHN audition process!

So the HHN process of getting casting email is at random; sometimes they do it alphabetically or depending on what Maze your in.  Last year I got casted really late though I’m a veteran so it doesn’t matter if your new or a veteran you can get casted anytime.  The only way you know that you’re not casted is if you get the email that says that.

  6. Chainsaw training is on the Aug 31st. These were listed on their calendars at the audition. Their are  multiple paper work sessions in a day. Last year I got casted late Aug 21st and had paperwork the next day. My  orientation was the day before employee preview night.  I did not attend scare academy due to the late casting. My chainsaw training was  September 1st.  If Murdy is on time we should know all the mazes before the first  orientation.

The reason for so many  orientations is because this event involves up to 600 to 1000 performers.
