Ugh, I hate Saw so much. I wish that rumor wasn't as persistent as it is, because it means it's probably true.

Agreed. I really enjoyed the first film, but the second was just gore for gores sake. Didn't bother with the rest. But it is very popular, and you've got to cater for everyone's tastes.

Personally I'd like to see a more "humourous" house, such as "drag me to hell", "child's play/chuckie", or even cheesy horrors like "Leprechaun" haha. Be a bit different, and if done right quite fun too. Again not everyone's cup of tea, but I reckon the old gypsy woman could be quite terrifying!

Since this is your first time, will post the obvious in case you didn't know - you get express for each house and MOST rides (they can omit the express option for something new like Fallon) ONE time per night.  So a good rule to follow is if the line is less than 30min, just go through the regular line and keep track of them.  That way, if you wanted to hit a house a second time when the waits are 2 hours long, you still have your express eligibility for that house.  Nothing is funnier than the park JUST opening after doing Stay and Scream and seeing people having their express passes scanned while those in the regular line pass them by since they don't need to be scanned :)

Also, I believe the official rule of thumb is that express cuts your wait time in half.  It's almost always shorter than that, but every year you hear people bitching about how they had to wait 30min for express (when wait times are posted as 90min) and they bought it being told they could "skip the lines".  Don't think you can show up at 10pm and then hammer them all out in 2 hours because of express.

Thanks mate, much appreciated. Got tickets booked can't wait!

  3. Thanks for heads up re tickets.

Just a quick one. The rush of blood with express pass - does this mean express passes for each night you go, or just one night only? Think it'll be all nights but wanted to check as websites unclear (and this is my first time so not sure how it worked previously!)

  4. Assuming this is true, then what does that mean for the AHS maze? Guessing the whole voodoo influence from AHS coven will be ignored. Given that was quite a big part of the season (other than a bunch of very ambitious bitchy women who just happen to be witches) I'm a little worried about this bit of the AHS maze.....

  5. I know this doesn't fit with the other clues, but "Rings" has a clip in the new video of a snake eating itself. I think that would make a great maze, especially recreating the scene where Samara climbs out of a tv into the real world, but scarezone? Maybe not.

Maybe one for another year. As a mashup with The Grudge? That could be pretty freaky, being chased around a house with that croaking sound then ending up in a room where Samara climbs out of a TV set to attack you?

  6. I know the leaked list and rumours suggest this is a scare zone, but why not a house?

Personally I think this would work better as a house than a scare zone. UNLESS they manage a street-wide projection of the mummy as a sand face (although no idea of that fits into the new reboot).

Maybe it could be a house in the mummy queue? That would be cool. Although logistically no clue. It's been a while since I was last at Orlando...

  7. Cheers mate. Thinking of going 2/3 nights  when it's quieter to do everything (as I'm there late september to early October), but staying in the park when it closes to get best access to the mazes when it starts (probs Springfield as I hear it's more comfortable).

Is there anything else I should know about? Or just go and wing it and hope to make it out alive? Haha

  8. It's gonna be my first HHN (British, coming for my 30th) so no real understanding of events past (other than my parents who went before and keep saying castle vampyre nearly killed them, especially the guy on the bed?) and I've been reading these rumours a lot. This gothic/catacomb crossover sounds great and terrifying.  Walk into a church, things go wrong and you get attacked by gargoyles and someone tells you to go underground. To the catacombs. Then when you think you're safe people attack you from the walls, driving you into the plague pit for the big finale. What's not to be excited about over that? There's a lot of negativity on here (but I don't know previous events so maybe I don't know what I'm talking about). Any hints/tips for a first timer? Other than leave the rental car at home as ill need a drink haha
