If the event pans out the way that we have "speculated" The event keeps getting bigger and bigger every year so this year there'll probably be even more people than last year so I definitely don't think they wouldn't want to disappoint.

I certainly hope not.. but I can't help but worry that they're behind. For example, why can't be buy RIP tours yet either? Ug, it's frustrating and I'll just try to forget things for another month or so. I guess I'm out of the norm travelling so far and planning my trip around this event. I think a lot of the HHN attendees must be closer by. Therefore, they're not trying to get people farther away to their event.

  2. Having nothing to go on for so long as made me lose interest. I also worry about the quality of the event they're planning. What if UO has depleted its resources and is now spread too thin because of VB, HP Xmas etc. I am from Canada and planning a trip like this is a little more involved and much more of a financial commitment compared to living close by. I feel a bit let down and I really hope that I'm wrong but I am worried that perhaps this year I have wasted my money.

Use the ignore user feature explained a few pages back.  Makes this place a joy to visit again when you mute certain people :)

I'm getting quite excited about this year and was on the fence about going (work and other real life issues mostly), but am leaning towards make the trip this year.

Thanks- I hop on here on and off so don't really know who is who but now I understand the need to mute. I am excited about this year too!! So busy with expanding my business and my summer is going to be crazy!! Everything we booked we made sure was fully refundable because I didn't know if we can afford the time to go. However this is certainly something I can looking forward too and I am determined to visit HHN this year. All the speculation is fun but another announcement is way past due.

  4. It's really hard listening to criticisms. I work in a similar industry and truly enjoy the following from fans that we have... BUT there is so much to consider-- mostly due to budget, laws, safety and time I assume. I am sure Universal is working hard and it's a miracle that something of this magnitude can occur annually.  If someone thinks they can do it better-- try to... or get a job at Universal Creative and work at improving it form the inside. People really shouldn't be so critical unless they're doing something to contribute. It's really, really just too easy to pass comments like this from the safety of your comfortable desk chair.

The Tin Man from the Wizard of Oz can blow Smoke out the top of his head. Okie could mean that because doesn't Dorothy live on a Farm house at the beginning of the Movie. The Wizard of Oz takes place in Kansas.

so- lots of hints to the wizard of oz? the visual clue on the tweets is also the colour yellow?? would this be a wizard of oz maze? that would be pretty cool. warner bros own the movie rights but the book is in public domain.

Message me. We book a private tour every year end of October. We would love for another to join us.

We are booked Sept 16th-23rd :( trying to schedule a visit before our AP run out. Drat, I would have totally taken you up on the offer! We did the public RIP tour last year and were really disappointed with our crew. No one was a fan and in fact 2 people left mid way.. it was really weird and sort of put a whole damper on the whole evening. We're big haunt fans and work in the industry.. maybe it's asking too much but would be nice to find likeminded people... or at least people that have attended HHN before and know what it is about.

Dual park is not happening FYI. Look at the hours for IOA in October:

    https://www.universalorlando.com/web/en/us/plan-your-visit/hours-information/park-hours/index.html#universals-islands-of-adventure

Doesn't close early. AKA it is at Universal only. And before someone says, "Oh they'll just open IOA later for HHN," not going to happen. They aren't going to keep 2 to 4 houses closed until 9PM (8 PM IOA shuts down, 1+ hour to set up like Universal does for HHN).

Ya- I think you're right. Doesn't make sense to close down a 2nd park for HHN. The clues fit all into place for that tho!! If they're just hinting at the icon, I don't really care who it is. Not a big deal for me... but I guess maybe for those who have followed the years and characters better.

Plus do you really think they'll try another female icon? I didn't think Chance pulled it off last year. Maybe it was just her house overshadowing that.

I have seen a few posts each year on the various HHN forums I visit, so whenever it gets closer, I would try that.

Thanks I will try that. Is this the best forum to post? I am not really a part of any HHN or universal forums.

  9. Thanks for doing this! I am have been so swamped but wanted to try to lay out the clues in this order to try to figure it out.. what about today's tweet? 'cottoned' on? What does cotton do with anything?

In that case it would be a two-park event (at least sort of)...as sprung 1 & 2, B79, and MIB Queue are up and in some form being worked on.

So really don't think of that being the case here, but maybe i'm way off.

ya i wonder about the reality of that. i didn't look into permits or what was being built already so if it seems most of the houses are going into US i guess that rules out islands. I was there the 1st year of the dual park HHN. The scare zones were pretty epic. I would love to see larger and more immersive scare zones like that again. We took a long break between HHNs and going back last year after 15+ years and I was a bit disappointed about the size of the scare zones.

  10. Hi everyone! I just joined and had a question about the private RIP tours. Is there a good pace to find other people interested in singing up for a private RIP? I am coming into town but don't know people in Orlando. I heard the private RIPs  have more flexibility.
