  1.  I heard the past year actors were destroying their hands by repeating starting chainsaw without gloves.
It's possible that they got hand hit or pinched during pull strings.

Sure, " Budget isn't a thing for universal"
tell to the guy getting touches up twice a night because he works on scarezone and the make supervisor tells you to stop because they are running out of blood and make for the run.
Hence why they switch to half and half. Half street& house actors using less make up(  Central Park almost year since 2015)

Budget is there.  Yet they are being crazy cheap.
Anyways, I think they is a strong theme that they might bring back an icon.

    You are very correct.

ST shifted the demographic age down.  Adding anything HP would definitely drive it down further.  Then comes the parental units of those HP kids screaming about the rest of the event being too scary and that's how we get UNSSHPH.   That being said, it makes the argument for HHN becoming two tiered and in two parks.  Scary to the left, not so scary to the right.  But, I am sure there is not a return to be had in that method.

I am just saying if we could put the separate events, universal could make butt loads of money. even if the kids event is only open till 12 that would work.  You know since the sell out success from last year, the budget will get better.
I think the Sliders work so well in knotts and else where is because they don't have strict rules on their scare actors.
HHN Hollywood legit allows people to get chased. In Orlando it's not that..
Speaking of budget, all this money that universal made.
We won't get sliders cause the budget. Shoot they won't give the Chainsaw people gloves to protect their hands.

  3.  I am just saying that they haven't slated the dates for this Potter event at the castle.
I think it would be a summer leading to HHN to win over the summer, since Galaxy edges got pushed back to Fall.
I think with the event getting big that they would do a last big blow out before transferring it to maybe new park?  who know the future of the event or universal has in store for us.
I really like to see maybe a kiddo halloween event at islands. Steal the market from lego land and disney.
      Not as scary halloween event.

Well, We can rule out parade blding and tents due to mard gras.
It has to be either 24 or 22. 21 also houses the parade characters during the meet and greets for Mard gras.
This has to be Stranger Things so nextfilx can walk through and approve or change things... idk maybe the ending?
I have faith in Orlando team, but the content of ending is wary for me.

I have said this once and I will say it again. I think Hellboy would make a awesome house!

It's strange that Hellboy and hulk and few others are universal film property.
I would like to be in the room when they were picking characters..

Knotts/HHN veteran here for way too many years.  Not sure what Knotts stunts have done that HHN Orlando has not done.  HHN Hollywood has done bupkis. IMHO, HHN Orlando has done quite a bit more.  Would really like to see more bungee out of Orlando, though...  And illusions.  Knotts has incorporated stage illusion (and even close up magic!) into their houses quite well.  Perhaps you are referring to sliders.  My feeling is streets of HHN are just too packed for safe sliding, plus all the rain.  I envision a slider ending about 30 feet farther than he planned, with a bunch of customer bowling pins downed along the way.

I just want more Bungee scares that is more interaction with guest.. I.e Knott's like.
Orlando Focuses more on stilts than Bungees, which is cool.  For the reason, you can work 45 mins on stilts and bungees are 30 mins, need more active actors for Bungees.
Once, when I was scaring in the face off scarezone, I accident misstepped during  raining night and did a slide move on my knee thankfully no injuries but it was different and got some great scares.
I was Red Beard Butler.. Next to scarecrows and Pirates.
I think a change of streets is needed, if we had sliders in new york it would work since new york is big enough.  But only have sliders the 1st 2 sets and then regular scare after that.

  6.  I just wondered if we are going to get on knott's level with stunts/ or rigged actors?
I understand that the stunt scareactors work off 30 min on/ off set instead of 45.   I think if they want to show off more higher production values we could get more than two houses a year to do this.
Give me a stunt scare in a parade blding?

Wait, not to derail, but why the hate on Magnet? The Signal, Splinter, and TimeCrimes were all incredible films in the genre. I wish they had been better at marketing them, but I think those always would have been niche movies. And it's not like Blum is ever picking up anything as ambitious as any of those efforts anyways.

I am just saying that Magnet hasn't put out anything recently.
I love Magnet films. For being different and unique.  Yet I think Blumhouse might be getting some of the future talent from Magnet films, or they buy movie rights from indie film makers.

Been going through my Horror collection recently and rewatched alot of Classics and more recent films. I rewatched SOTL and I can see it being at the event this year more then ever. There are some good scenes they can replicate even though it might be tough. If Either SOTL or Child's play (2019) is present at the event this year in anyway, one basically confirms the other. Pretty sure they are on alright terms with Orion so it opens the door.

Watched Happy Death Day 2U and I just hope to god they realize that it will not make for a good house even if there are some alright scenes in that movie. I still hate the movie and it makes me hate Blumhouse more then I already did. If they do that better be the only Blumhouse property. Unless we are getting Halloween 2018 (which I really doubt)

I agree with a Blumhouse street, why the hell not. Im worried about Scare zones this year.... I have no clue what Properties would make good Streets besides a Blumhouse one. I feel like they rely on Blumhouse to much sometimes tho. Anyway, I need a house announcement, im dying over here.

They rely heavy on Blumhouse because it's a low budget studio, which has some what great profits only because they are hold up most of the horror genre.
Plus, Ideally they have contracts with Universal and now with Hulu( which is almost 45 stakes with Disney, which why blumhouse films on there are made for tv films tv ma)
     Amazon new deal upcoming year.
Blumhouse basically killed Magnet Release films.

I  love Blumhouse for what it is, or what it does for the horror.

  9. Next month, is the Us relased  we will see how much horror is in it.

I  love the Phantasm Idea for house.
It could be graveyard theme in beginning.
     then morgue..
      Tall man everywhere.
I like this film. If they could do this ending right.
I feel like too many tall people it would be hard to cast for, but easy to fill roles if it's masked roles.

  10.  I just listened to the ridecast podcast of bill and ted which had one of them on it. they talked about their b&t verse  uni b&t.
I would like to do something similar. Maybe catch the eyes of certain theme parks. I mean, Mike  Ailleo wrote few bill and ted scripts and someone read it and love it and then he took over it.
I would like to be show writer. Some reason there are always hiring show writer for universal parks ( hollywood, Singapore, and Orlando)
I think this Orlando fringe would love it.

I mean last year, had so many well known films turn into spoof plays, Room, Jurassic Park,  It.

  11.  I think we would get Universal original monster house/ maze  this year or next for thirty years.
I prefer this year while I am still employee with the company, hopefully can do filing role for that house. I love wolfman and frankenstein's monster despite being too short.
I just saw Happy Death 2u, I seen some active scene during a haunt. ( lab death, gym backstage, hopsital scene again, )  I feel like this is going to be apart of 2019 house. if not maybe blumhouse street.
I feel they could get way with blumhouse street. purge tv, maybe  purge film,  happy death day baby killer,  maybe if possible get out character? or us character? or hulu pokah character? I love creepy pokah character.

  12.  I have plan to attempt to reboot Bill & Ted Excellent halloween  adventure in Fringe form if possible.

I would need to do fundraiser tho cause my friend show is playing about 5 days in two week span, he paid something like 500 for total amount of days.
After, paying for 7? shows  and paying for the costumes and talent If I can maybe get the Universal Actors if they aren't in another Fringe show..
Something like 300 for props and practice and whatnot..

In theory, would any of ya be interested in watch it?

IF you could maybe see 2019 feature of Bill and Ted non heinous cancelled tour, who would you see in there? I have my core plan, but it would be interesting to see if we have some people in common.

What must it be....an original concept?

If this is true, I worry for the future of shows at HHN, and entertainment at the park in general.  Temper this with the fact that surveys included a higher than normal number of newbies there for Stranger Things.  They had no reference point for prior HHN shows.  I don't think anyone who had seen AOV: House of Fear would rate Cyberpunk higher.

But I am an old guy who sits in the park yelling at squirrels.

I agree. I don't think they would solely do dance show for next 10 years. I mean they might had signed a contract for 4 or 5 years. mostly likely with the at will clause for the company to end their show for few reasons.  Also, Listened to this podcast ridecast or something like that.. they ask john murdy same question why is hhn hollywood called mazes and  orlando called houses.
I think it's a maze because they want you to run into those black walls. whereas  orlando has you running into walls because they start their event at 1pm?   only in 2030 where they become like japan.

This. Not only is it annoying for us, but imagine how rude it feels for scareactors to have lights in their faces? I'm surprised they don't go blind, practice some courtesy y'all.

If you watch the TimTracker they always get upset about people flashing lights in actors' faces, it's just common sense man :/

Please don't get me started on Tim Tracker...
I can't stand him or all mighty thor and  a lot of these vloggers.
How can you be a review of everything and his dumb voice gives me headaches.
His videos aren't special.. I rather dive any more down that deep hole of hate.

I just think we could freeze this thread for a week or two?
