So will the announcement on Sunday during Monsterpalooza be a shared-IP between Orlando and Hollywood?

highly unlikely, I think they would like to slide into ip for cons or national world stage.
but last two con stages they didn't offer anything new.
Maybe they might change because they start earlier.

I think both usa parks same time frame.

Really? Where else could it go?

    parade blding.
I feel like the new blding.
I think they wanted to roman house.
I am certain this might be because the giant lion puppet created for scary tales?
I am excited for this house.
I doubt that I will get cast for this house. I believe that Fit male based house and Skinny and tall females like last time.
I got scared during last house of Nightingales, so I am interested in this house.

I'll help: it sounds like they might be doing a permanent attraction, and they decided to announce this after HHN had all its properties locked in.

Then again, you did say you know something we don't.

I think it could be that, but why would they brag about getting for the event only?
I mean they always looking for new things to replace stuff in the park or for the new park.

With the news of WB rethinking the horror made here brand. I feel like they barely broke even.
I think they are awaiting the box offices flops or success to see if the market is ready.
     I thought they had success.
I think they are lending the rights this year to see how HHN does a haunt maze/house.
I mean it's a hard market of haunted attractions.

I am shocked that HHN hasn't used this sound in their park  score... For Whom the Bell Tolls" de Steve Baker y Carmen Daye

Oh wow those facades are incredible!!

This may be the wrong place to ask but does anybody have any info on what it’s like being a scare actor? If they work around other schedules? I’ll  be in the DCP soon but I would love the opportunity to work in a large scale haunt like this!

It's  hit or miss with scheduling. If you ask for too many days off then you won't get hired.  If you are hired and work a morning job try to get cast for street cast a. You would only be working  from 6pm till 11pm
but I heard numerous of people weren't getting off from disney to work hhn. so best of luck.

  5.  I am so not looking forward to this house or the  fan base this will be a driving factor for this year.
I don't think there is enough content for two houses just being frank.
I think they are doing the contract of the two year deal.
with that being said  think about another MGM film ( child play 2019)

The flames were outside the house. Heat was an issue in Disaster! and Jaws. Scareactors became ill from it. Adding heat creates a liability issue to Universal.

No theme is worth making scareactors ill.

Sure.. but having mask that cut into the actor face but they can't fix that only because they got approved from higher ups from the ip and can't change because the line is breaking records of 2018.  That is fine.
Some time certain aspects don't matter as long Ip holder or the general population likes it.

I doubt we will ever get a house that increases the heat. Too much of a liability. Not the guests, but the scareactors.

Besides the fact that makeup can be effected by heat, heat could make the scareactors lethargic and heatstroke is a real risk in Florida.

That house was no make up like any, maybe black eyes.
. Their outfits were sweat morph suits.
You know that  most of the a/c vents in these houses are focus on the guest area.. about under 40 % gets to Actors.
If they can do water effects, and mirrors. I think they can get a little heat.  We got flames in the past and only caught a tree on fire.

Since the Stranger things house contains 2 and 3, does that means it's gonna be a mega house?

Also, the fact that they arnt coming out with ticket sales yet kinda confirmes that there will be more then one big property. I want to say we will follow the announcement pattern we had last year that they announce an IP then an Original but who knows.

I also wanna add that instead of a house based off of this years Child's Play reboot that maybe instead we are more likely to get one of the first three movies in a house (or all of them)

Going through the Good Guys factory from the second film would be pretty Jaw dropping for me.

Season 2 was kind of lack luster, it only had about 3 good episodes.
I think it's easy for them to put together a 2 year contact deal instead of living through 5 years of Walking dead.
I think TWD was the reason why we only got 2 year deals.
We don't know what the GP or will be hot in 3 years away from now..
I would like another Vampire house or Creatures house.
I wish that  Seeds had more dessert feel.
     They could had heaters..

There is absolutely nothing HHN about Get Out.    I dont know what haunt would consider something that polarizing for a scare.  8 people sitting around a table eating dinner with brain scrambled servants standing nearby is not my definition of scary.

       Art is subjective.
Look at purge or happy death day or  ash vs evil dead ( as much as I love love these property, they aren't the scariest)
Get out could work as a house.
Puppet Deer,  The jump scares of the grandparents..  the Iconic Tea scene.. Alison or Doctor Dad..
I mean What in the original Blumhouse of horrors, they had two scene of Sinster  ? because they didn't believe in the source material.. I mean the box office was lack luster.
I mean in 2018, there was scary underlining theme of horror films with kids.. I get it kids are scary but so are bring out Pedophilia.

I didn't find Stranger things scary at all. I didn't care for the show until I was shit face drunk and still making fun of it.
I am just saying IF UNIVERSAL WANTED TO BREAK RECORDS.. THEY WOULD HAVE THE TOP NETFLIX SHOW AND THE HOTTEST " HORROR"  DIRECTOR RIGHT NOW WITH JORDAN PEELE House..

    • Haha 1
  10.  As For Us... I was kind disappointed. I was expecting more of  suspense and horror elements.

Jordan Peele forced Foreshadowing that didn't have to pay off, but it 100% did.
I loved Get Out. Us is beast of movie. I enjoyed.

I think that Universal is scared to do Get out / Us house.
I bet it would be hard to hire for Get out / Us house because i.e Stranger Things.. Universal isn't  well known or hard up on many Face characters, but when they do try do to face characters they do an awesome job.

I believe that Jordan Peele would make time to do a hands on haunted house because it would be his first one.  Look at the demands or hands on like that Netflix had with stranger things.
Just imagine the draw of the crowd of both Us/ and Stranger things?  This is it... If Universal want to Destroy records.
      You got massive crowds.

I saw Us twice today and honestly without spoilers it needs to be involved with this years event in anyway possible. And for those of you that have seen it you may see what im implying...

You said the same thing about Happy Death 2 u... I think.
I don't think everything is worth the space for house.

  12. I think Scream house might more likely now that Weinstein company got bought some Texan auto sales and recycling company.
I think they should try to reclaim some of their spent money.
I think they could had get  maybe 2.5 million for maybe two year deal.
they own the rights to Halloween 2018? and It follows..
I don't know about ya but It follows was  a heavy hitter and near perfect picture in my eyes.

  13. I saw a youtube video saying that they might be removing the soundstages holding paranormal and trick r treat  area for a coaster or some type of ride.
     Does anyone think this real?
I would like to experience paranormal inc before it might be over for good.

    Just my opinion here...

There's a reason Goldberg's is a massive hit, and Schooled is on life support.

I grew up in the 80s and it was totally awesome.

To me, it was the last truly identifiable decade.  I can hear a song and place it in the 20's, 30's, 40's, 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's.  Same with clothing, hairstyles, and the like.  The 80's was the last time SNL and late night talk shows were actually entertaining.

Decades from 90's onward are indistinguishable.  Yeah, Nirvana was 90's, but I have a tough time categorizing anything else.  Retro has been the thing for the past decade plus, but I can't image a sitcom 20 years from now, set in 2010 for time period laughs.  I would absolutely HATE to be a kid growing up in today's world, living under the threat that anything you say or do today will be recorded and used against you in a future time.  Such insane pressure to be a good NPC, thinking with the collective.  Perhaps this decade has managed to set itself apart, but not in a good way.

But to the Q - if Stranger things was set in a different time period - or in a timeless period, would it still be as big a hit?  Great question.  For me, the 80's theme sure helped me get into it.  It let me connect more with my daughter, who is a big fan.  She got to see what life was like for me.  So while it helped, I think I'd like it regardless of time period.  The casting and characters are compelling, which is half the battle.

I enjoy the 80's but I feel like if the plot is dull, they just add different time period to spice it up.
I some what agree about the 90's being mishap I grew up in the 90's
I mean this show won best show few years back, yet I feel like it was bought out. I don't watch much tv.  The actors are good at their craft. I seen a lot of terrible child actors.
I feel this show only has two more seasons left before they become too big and start having a spin off show for netflix.

I don't know think a bigfoot house is good idea.  but who knows I have been wrong before.

  15.  After going back into the parks after taking 4 months off.

I think they will be doing something following suit of Hollywood of the universal classic monsters.
I know they had select stores that features merch, but now it's more wide spread and slowly taking over Terminator store.
I think it would be great if we go back to 2009 and have 3 classic monster houses.
