So I'm still hung up on a maze. #5 actually.

    "Maze #5

    Codename: "1984" (Unofficial)

    - Murdy called this Maze a "Dark Horse" Maze (A Maze that is not all that well known but ultimately is a favorite which was "Krampus" last year)

    - Has a Scene that has the scent of dirty socks

    - Will (Was suppose to) have a David Bowie Inspired Codename

    - Treatment is 103 Pages Long"

Where does Bowie tie in to any of the leaked list? If I had to guess I would have pegged it as a Labrynth maze. All hail the Goblin King.

Easiest way to think about this would be to think of it as life on Mars which is the song that Elsa Mars sings in season four of American horror story, but they are not doing season four this year,  so that might not be it.

Yeah seeing stuff like that, Murdy could really play with the ips abit, and does a really good job, sometimes I wish for some of that over here and we do for certain houses, obviously not always the classics you know, but for example Exorcist last year, was badass, they had a scene of what it looks like in Regan's head or the hell that she is trapped in and you see Pazuzu itself in all of its glory before exiting out with one more scare by Regan, it was perfect. :)

I really enjoy when they get a little artistic in the storytelling. It's a little abstract but I really enjoy it. The staircase facade-thingy in the Orlando Exorcist maze was amazing and really creative. I hope they do this kinda thing with more of the mazes, including the Blumhouse of Horrors

Well I mean as much as I love Get Out, I don't think it would be a maze, Sinister would work and hell tbh, you guys have only had scarezones for Purge but never really a haunted house, we had a haunted house for Purge out here at last minute because we originally were supposed to be have Scream but that's a long story but anyways, if you guys get a Purge maze, I say Purge wouldn't be overused but actually being put to good use because you guys could get a recreation of the first Purge film with little parts of Anarchy and Election Year in some way :)

I honestly I could see them recreating scenes from the film The Purgers breaking into the Sandin's home and being attacked from either side by the Happy face purgers and maybe leading into somewhere that makes you feel like you are outside and coming face to face the Purgers somewhere raising hell and coming for you, same goes for Election Year, seeing the George Washington and Abe Lincoln Purgers trying to get you as well. Its really hard to pick out certain scenes because on film may look good but in person Murdy really knows how to paint a picture a way that it could be trippy or something that is very good and imaginative, I do love your Halloween II house last year and the fact that he used the pumpkin as symbol for Michael and the whole scene with the glow in the dark pumpkins jumping at you was really badass :)

Yeah, that Skull scene was awesome

Since purge is already overused, the only choices I think they have are Insidious since the new one is supposed to be coming this year? or The Conjuring is finally coming to HHN because so far that's the only one they haven't done from Blumhouse, there will probably be more but who knows when they will do them. Conjuring stands out and could be what Insidious was in 2013 and 2015, it would be a big house, obviously over here in Orlando, it would probably be where Texas Chainsaw Massacre was, with the facade being the house from the first Conjuring film

What scenes from the Purge (If they do it) do you think they should do?

  5. Thoughts on the Blumhouse maze.  Kind of think it's strange that they're doing two Blum house movies as individual mazes, and they're still doing this Blum house of horrors idea.  Also, do you think the titans of terror terror Tram will be the Titans from last year or do you think that he's going to add any of them, for example Hellraiser.

The thing is, they could have done Asylum but instead have the mentally folks be replaced by some of the main characters, they could have Bloodyface, and so forth in different parts of that portion of the maze and then just jump right into Coven, it would made sense, I mean I don't think they would go all out like Knotts did, also didn't you guys have an Asylum maze way before, just called The Asylum and it was just really gory and whacky, regardless I hope you guys' maze comes out awesome in the end. I mean maybe if they still keep AHS for both coasts, maybe they would save it match with another season that shares the same theme because the only two seasons that really stick together or three but Murderhouse was already used last year, Coven and Roanoke should have at least been put together in the house.

But I think that they would want to do it justice. Like,  it is everyone's favorite season of the show so it wouldn't make sense for them just to half ass it ( not saying they would)

I like that he at least admitted it, that sucks that you guys only get one season this year, I would have at least given two than just one, I mean its kind of unfair to the California audience, but I think there is still has to be a reason for why he isn't doing Coven and Asylum, there must be an ip or ips that deal with witches and Asylum, Conjuring for witches and supernaturals? and Asylum idk what could be involved with that one. Still I hope you guy's have a great version as we will :)

He's probably not doing asylum because of the Knotts incident. There is a great comment in the speculation thread about this

Man, I mean I understand after 9/11 because that was a tragedy, but it is still a haunted event. I can't see HHN being a politically correct haunt. I just can't. Everyone should know what they're in for, and a majority of us are walking around with horror t shirts and just seem like the type of people that are here for an edgy and fun time. But every year there's people that clearly should be at Mickey's Not So Scary at Disneyland instead. It just pisses me off because it's all tradition, the corpses, the go go dancers, the "auctioneer" scareactor, they've all been here for years and taking them away because of a few offended guests just is not fair. There are warnings galore both at the event entrance and online.

It really sucks how many haunts are p.c.ing there haunts. Soon there will be no actors or mazes and it will all be replaced with minions.

So this Saw maze, is it supposed to be Saw Legacy or a "best of" like '09 and '10?

I hope it's best of. Also, I'm excited that this is happening. It's going to be fucking legit

Guess it's time to guess scarzones.

    I think:

    Clowns

    some type of corpses/zombies zone

    some movie based zone

    And maybe extermanators

Quite the contrary with IT, he seems to be praising the remake. The Shining however, since he hated Kubrick's version I could see them getting away with it

Ok, thanks for the clear up :)

So far we have these speculated

    Lemonade: The Conjuring

    Writer's Block: The Shining

    Charles: I don't really know.

The Big chill: I heard this could be Alien since the connection of the big chill and outer space.

    Any ideas?

    Lemonade is almost too obvious:

Amy Schumer made a viral song called "Milk, Milk, Lemonade".

Schumer has several ties to the World Wrestling Entertainment company (WWE).

    • She starred in the movie "Trainwreck" alongside WWE wrestler John Cena.
    • She was the real-life girlfriend of WWE wrestler Dolph Ziggler.
    • Even more astonishing: her close relative is U.S. Senator Chuck Schumer, who has a political ally Tim Kaine.  Kaine is an eerily close spelling to Kane, who is a WWE wrestler closely associated with the Undertaker.

In 2000, Universal Hollywood HHN presented a maze called "The Undertaker: No Mercy", which was considered by all to be a "Trainwreck" of a maze. That maze featured The Undertaker and Kane.

John Murdy stated that there would be no direct repeats this year.  In 2000 the wrestling organization was known as WWF; today it is WWE.  Hence, no direct repeats.

So obviously "Lemonade" is a code name for a maze featuring the Undertaker and Kane.

"But wait!", you say, "what about the other clues Murdy gave us?"

As for "something a filmmaker said to Murdy about his property", John was entertaining an old buddy at his house on a hot summer day last year.  They had met many years ago at a filmmaking class.  While they were in the back yard, John's wife asked their guest if he wanted a refreshment.  After wrestling with the choices, he replied that he would love some lemonade, as long it came from the lemon trees on John's property.  A light bulb went off in John's head and, well, you know the rest...

During the maze pitch, John was told that an even bigger name needed to be added to the maze in order to engage more of the general public.  So the concept was redesigned to include John Cena in the role of his "Marine" character, John Triton.  Cena's connection to Amy Schumer made the codename "Lemonade" even more appropriate.

    DUH!

Sometimes I'm surprised I need to point out the simple stuff to you guys.  But if you don't believe me, then wait till Two Ton Tick corroborates my story.

    Any day now.

    Just wait.

    0b5.gif

It's a good theory but he did say film maker. WWE is on tv AND if it was a train wreck in the past, why would they do it again. Like for AVP. The second year they did it people didn't like it, so they didn't do it again. Also wrestling doesn't really feel like something Murdy would do.
