  1. I'm hoping to see an awesome optical illusion of the pit when you enter the Pit and the Pendulum room. The only reason I mention that is because I was thinking of the effect used in the Dead Silence house where you were walking on the catwalk and you could look down. In actuality, it was mirrors below you and items mounted on the ceiling above you.

  2. I agree with the whole counter clockwise path starting with the tents. However, I don't stress about doing everything in one night, mainly because of the Frequent Fear Pass. My plan for opening weekend is to meet up with anybody doing the AP event and pretty much follow them while socializing.

  3. I should've clarified my post earlier. I am aware that Dr. Jimmy was talking about the high energy dance show. I am also aware that Bill and Ted will most likely be in it's usual place, the Fear Factor auditorium. What I meant was, is it likely that the high energy dance show will be inside the Terminator attraction?

  4. I've heard a rather exciting rumor about the new "show" and I have been sworn to secrecy, but let me say that if what I heard is true then NONE of the current stages would be used.

I remember rumors floating around in early 2010 that the Bill and Ted Show might take place in the Terminator 2 auditorium. Obviously, it didn't. But, it makes me wonder when you say NONE of the current stages, if the Terminator auditorium counts as a stage.

  5. I tried going to HNN in my library and they have the wesite blocked, for some reason, but if i go to, lets say for example playboy or something bad like that, thats not blocked.. i really was like WTF?

Yeah I had the same problem viewing the HHN site. It is blocked with a 403 error but I found out I can view the site by clicking on a link from other sites.

  6. They use to be more common. The original Screamhouse had a puppeteer, (moving random body parts in the fridge), and Jungle of Doom had a butt-kicking gremlin that flew at you from out of a cave.

I vaguely remember a puppet in the Scary Tales house in 2001. It was a very small thing resembling a clown, placed on a bookshelf up high, and it would lean down and move its arms in a punching motion. I believe it was right inside the entrance and was one of the very first few scares.

  7. Since there is an overall gambling theme this year, I was thinking about the different types of gambling. For instance, slot machines, poker, blackjack, roulette/craps, and possibly events such as dog racing, horse racing, and jai alai. Then I thought how these are all a little different. A slot machine basically has a computer that generates random numbers and creates visual displays for winning combinations (pulling a lever or pressing a button does nothing at all). In poker you are testing your skill against other people. In blackjack you only have one opponent; the dealer which represents the casino. In roulette and craps you rely on a device (i.e. a ball or die) and it's a matter of probablility. With animal racing or jai alai you are placing wagers on others while spectating. Even though Universal doesn't have to have an overall connection for the houses and scare zones to the theme/icon, I thought it was interesting that you can utilize various forms of conflict.

  8. I have my Hi8 tapes but not my Sony camcorder. On those tapes I have footage from 2000 and 2001 including the entire Bill and Ted Show from 2001. My problem is that I filmed a lot of non-HHN stuff on each tape. Would this be a one day project for you, mz_, or will it take some time? Do you want tapes mailed or would I meet with you and wait while you edit?
