I'm not going try and rant to prove a point anymore so please dont think that with this reply...
I was told by Shadow and a few others that this wont have movie base characters, but I took it the wrong way. A&D doesnt want to pay to use a character ie SAW, NLC, or any other popular Horror characters that are not Universal own. So I'm sorry I went off on people....
They can have houses inspired by horror movies.. All there doing is twisting the story to make it there own idea.. Big difference between that and a house based on horror movie.
Now that I said that...
I do agree the lantern is the key to the whole event, just like BM music box was, so lets all watch it grow brighter and reveled what is lurking in the darkness at HHN 20.

LT was renew a few months ago.. It wont go live till Sept I bet.
Please think outside the box when it comes to the event. Some of you (not all) are so used to pop culture themes that you forget HHN got famous in the early decade with word called originality, let me staple it to your head so you wont forget *staples originality to random users*
Yes over the yrs we have many many movie theme houses but at the same time we have so many outstanding original houses. Does this mean past houses will come back? Nope reason being we saw that already during a event called "Sweet 16", some of you might of herd of it or atleast went to it.
Hell if you look at whats been leaked the only past stuff is located in one small part of the park, the rest is all original stuff.. Yes there was a mummy cast but that doesn't mean a Brandon fraisher over the top action movie theme house.
So sit back and enjoy this ride that UO is about to take us cause its going to be A LOT of fun.
P.S. Dont have a heart attack when this yr is all orginal.

So my dad is a BIG H.P. Lovecraft fan... Hes read the books, watch movies on the man, and many other stuff.
He think they might take a lot of Lovecraft works and re work it into the event.
I still think in Hollywood will feature past characters and they will usher you into the new darkness that awaits us.

I wish what you said was true, that sounds great, but, the past 4 years I've been to the event had movies, Hell 2007 and 2009 was ALL about movies, Uni will always make movie houses, because Uni is a Movie based park, while i wish they made new houses, (and maybe this year there will be no movie houses) i doubt they'll stop that

The reason why we had so many freaking movie theme houses from 06-09 (I think 13 total, I could be wrong) is because a certain former member of A&D loved pop culture. Yes the GP loves horror movies but having movie base themes didnt pull in the numbers it was suppose to. We have had yrs believe it or not where there was no movie theme houses. However we had houses based on movies but unless you saw the movie you wouldnt have known... Ship of Screams (Ghost Ship), Demon Catina (Sp?) (From Dusk til Dawn) and a few others. But like I said they didnt market on those houses like they have with some movie houses the last few yrs yrs.

What if where going to have former characters welcome us to the event and there going to make way for the new era of Darkness. This could be the only spot where we see the past and after that its all new.

I really dont see them doing another type of Hollywood scarezone like 06 had with past characters.. Hell Albert love hearts, maybe he past it on to Cindy.. I really dont know.
For some reason UO has really kept the leaks down this yr and I hope it stays this way in the yrs to come.

Why is everyone speculating movie houses? I haven't seen a legit rumor that there will be any movie house. Is it just because that's the only thing we know and therefore the only thing we can speculate about?
I think it looks like a van that will be in a scene in a new, original maze that we know absolutely nothing about.

I don't know about that one... I'm not an old van buff. But they started in '85 and were popular through early 2000's
That looks like a first gen ('85 to '94) so it would fit in an late 80's/early 90's house.
It could be grasping at straws but noticed and thought I throw it out there.
I think your looking to much into it.. or you might be on to something.
Hell the cars in Horrorwood last yr range from 80-90s and they wasnt really any time frame for that SZ.
It might just be a car they picked up cheap at a junkyard for all we know.

I don’t remember the house name, but in 05 wasn’t there a house were you went upstairs into the attic and the story teller was sitting there in her rocking chair and the scareactor was on a bed of nails.
Where Evil Hides was the name, it was also a mirror house to.

Mae, the only new thing that where talking about is the tagline this yr which is "Twenty years of Horror".
I really dont think UO will announce really anything new at auditions, in the past they gave code names to houses as well been very vague at what the event is about.

Before we get a dumb ass comment, no they wont be a 2 story house in the JAWS area.. They dont have the room to mirror it nor they have the space for a wheelchair ramp.
However I could be wrong lol but I dont see them building a 2 story house.

So inless then 10 ten mins (from the moment I write this) it will be 80 days till the event kicks off.. Boy is time flying by so fast.. Hopefully we get an update either tonight or tomorrow.

We have had super long lines in the past, plus the 'iconic' houses we had there in the past where the greatest.
