  1. Speaking of Orlando. Is it just me or are their event tickets much more costly than Hollywood? Has it always been that way?

    Also.....

I've gone to HHN 3 years in a row now and I have never thought to look and see if HHN front of the line tickets are cheaper, at the same price or more expensive than normal park hour front of the line passes. Can anyone answer this?

  2. I feel if they raise prices for tickets more than 20 to 40 dollars per ticket, that some people will not be able to go. Hell, look at Orlando's prices. I pray we never switch to a ticket system like they have for HHN. Waaaaaaay expensive. But regardless, us HHN nuts will still find a way to get our hands on tickets because the even is just that damn good!

  3. A few notes from my prospective on the current HHN Hollywood status.....

since the waterworld que is well into construction now and we have seen walls go up, I believe Freddy vs. Jason (if we do indeed get it) will be placed here. I know it's a smaller and more awkward shaped venue for a maze but I just feel that they would put a big name maze like that there up front in that upper lot.

Also, with John Murdy holding off on maze announcements recently, I do believe that both universal and him are trying to build suspense for excitement to boost ticket sales by holding off a little longer than normal on announcing mazes. I do feel that this year will bring us back to the feel of the 2008 - 2011 area of HHN with a more raw and horror filled experience.

No matter what this year brings, it will no doubt be a huge success. I'm excited as hell and I am ready for tickets with money in hand.

  4. Well heck it..... I think I'm going to talk about ticket sales for this years event for Hollywood.....

I think we will see tickets go on sale starting July 18th (this gives a 3 month gap between the beginning of ticket sales and first day of the event.....give or take a few days). I don't think universal will be brining back VIP passes this year due to it not doing so well financially for them as a company. Now I first went to HHN in 2013 and that year I did participate in VIP. It was pricey but worth it. I repeated the VIP process in 2014. Then it's been FOL passes for me ever since. I loved VIP but I feel it won't be back.....at least not this year. With prices, I think we will see a small hike in prices but nothing out of this world. I'm thinking maybe 5 to 10 bucks more expensive for both General Admission and FOL. I hope I'm wrong with the VIP not returning this year....I hope I'm so wrong. If it returns, my money is already waiting for them. If not, my money awaits for FOL. Just a quick insight to when I'm going.....October 15th!! Let me know what you guys think on ticket sales and speculations. Also, I'm curious to see when everyone else will attend.

  5. Why do you think that location (Mel's diner) will not be used this year? I fear in some weird small way that we could see less houses and less event this year. I know that irrational thought but would there be 6 total houses? That being 5 temporary mazes and the walking dead attraction as the 6th? Then terror tram? Then I wonder if they will introduce a new show this year. Lots of mystery. What are your thoughts on all this?? Lol

  6. Since Murdy has stated the goal of the maze is to make you feel what it's like to be possessed....

i believe the maze will be blackout heavy with voices of the priests saying all of their key sayings such as "the power of Christ compels you" and pressurized / sprinkled water ("holy water" for the sake of this maze) happening while you are in these blackout sections between the movie replica scenes. I also believe they will be finding ways to make the walls and ceilings in certain sections of the maze move and appear to crack like they did in the movie. I do expect the team to use jump scares but I believe they will use the blackout technique to a very different creepy way. I also believe this will be an awesome house. I do expect all of the classic scenes like the head turn and the projectile vomit. I also believe they will do the levitation scene with the girl above the bed with the white eyes. And yes, I do expect a puppet effect in some odd way (not 100% on that one lol). I believe they will do the spider walk scene down the stairs but I am afraid that having a scareactor do this every 10 to 30 seconds is unreasonable. I believe it will either be some sort of projection or a mechanical deal.

Heres my follow up question, do you all think we will see a 3D house this year? And if so, what the heck could it be?????

  7. First off....

    I'm new.....

    secondly......

somone needs to get more current footage of construction areas.

also, I was looking at the progression of the JP area maze and it seems like they are more further along than usual on that maze compared to previous years. Maybe it's just because focus has shifted this year on construction plans but seems like whatever maze that will be, will be detailed as all hell. Just my two cents.
