There's another spot where Orchids are - inside the Legendary Truth house.
Unfortunately I did not get a chance to get a real look at them since R&S were having a fit about us proceeding through the house at an enjoyable pace.

Its the previous certificate from 2008 but its been aged to reflect the passing of time. Wonder if there are any other clues in that area.

Wish I had read this earlier, I was in the park today and took photos of the front of The Caretakers area and even peered into the hearse but did not go around back.
My personal view is that Facebook isn't the right spot for LT, too much chaos and static. They need to go back to their website and start developing things again.

So funny story. I'm in the park today looking for merchandise (being that it's online) and no dice.
So I go to guest services and inquire about this years lanyard...
"Oh we have them now" says the guy... My wife and I get real excited an ask to purchase them.
He heads back and we hear him rustling through the box. Then, someone who I assume was his manager (and was listening the whole time), asks us how we are doing and promptly follows the rep. while he is headed back there I hear:
"How many do they want?" followed by our rep saying "At least one"...
After the guy who looks like a manager walks back there, we hear some whispered conversation. this is followed by our rep coming back and saying we sold out and we wont have any more till opening night. Mind you we were in there the Saturday before and they said they had them but weren't selling them. So not 100% sure but basically we were lied too. Long and short of it: completely let down, no lanyard, and not really sure when we can buy them.
Had a similar experience yesterday. Went in to get my Frequent Fear Plus pass and when she was done asked if the lanyards were available. She popped into the back and came back stating that they may be available late next week and definitely opening night. So who knows? Someone is bound to get lucky at this rate.

IH: Actually the term "portametus" was handed to us, not invented. Odd, no?

GB: Porta means gate in several languages and Metus is a Latin noun for fear. The odd part is who labeled the item as such, since they would know the function.
IH: Nevertheless, counselor, that's how it arrived here in Princeton with a label attached...from Universal Art & Desigfn department.

To focus on some of the facts presented:
Portametus actually means Gate of Fear.

Too true. Mostly every question involving the staff was answered with "Can we please focus on the investigation?"
For a staff meeting they didn't seem to give out many answers that didn't pertain to how Thorncastle is a total douchebag.
Probably because, for the most part, the roles of the staff members and their alliances have been set. Yes there are questions as to motives but they aren't going to tip off on those yet - it would ruin the experience.
BTW, Thorncastle may or may not be a "total douchebag", we don't know what happened internally that resulted in him and Richards taking the Device. The event in the Wynadot home may have been accidental, as part of a investigation.

I can see this being covered up or removed prior to RTU, It could be for testing at night to see if they have enough blacklight coverage.

We believe that Ryan Richard (who we suspect is part of the breakaway group Spirit Seekers) is in possesion of the Device or at least knows its whereabouts. Dr. Thorncastle may have assisted him.

The Spirit Seekers are those involved with the haunted house at HHN... looks like they created a new faction separate from LT.... but the house is still labeled as LT.... curious
That's a twist I wasn't aware of. Dr. Thorncastle was the lead developer of the Device and with all of the evidence so far seems to be the one who absconded with it in connection with Mr. Richards.
Do we know that its definitely the Spirit Seekers or was it a LT operation gone wrong under the supervision of Mr. Richards and/or Dr. Thorncastle before they went "rogue"?

I didn't receive the actual message on FB, went through all my messages and the email notifications - nothing. Now I'm insanely curious as to what GW had to say to me.

It's interesting, they ran me through the Martindale-Hubble database for attorneys as part of our conversation. They are doing their homework.
I think its great that they are spreading the information around to different people who have been involved in the past. It adds a different element than what occurred in 2008.

It is working pretty awesome on the new Harry Potter ride.
Perhaps but their history with HHN is terrible. Any maze that has even simple electrical or mechanical props has them fail during the run. The bigger and more necessary the prop, the more likely it'll fail - see The Things, Creatures, etc. I think Dead Silence was the exception.

If your talking about the images from 2008, without a release - definitely not.
If your talking about them snapping photos as you walk by in the beginning and superimposing them on effects later in the house, that would be great. How long it would work - I have no idea, Universal and technical props do not have a good history together.

And the key sentence at the end:

What we were told additionally that was not on that sheet was the energy gathering ability of the Device. Now add in what we know of the LT house on site, the Device has been modified or perfected and instead of just creating spectral energy images, it actually manifests them.

No one knows. It was never explained at all.
Actually it was, there was a paper handed out on the evening of the Device's introduction that explained the theories behind it and what it would do. Trying to find it online but not successful so far.
From what I remember it was a described as a device which measured and recorded some sort of spectral image associated with people - their aura. It was also hinted that it drained or took some of it as well.
Q: Is the device used in the Wyandot estate the same as the one that confounded us in 2008?
A: We suspect that it is. The Device went missing at the same time Dr. Thorncastle left the COLLECTIVE.

Most of the 2008 info has disappeared, conveniently when Thorncastle left, according to my conversations with IH.

Little did we know that the sound and light show back in 2008 may actually mean something now.
It was a red herring back then. Now, if its the same Device, looks like someone actually got it to work and/or took the information (and whatever else) it gathered from its scans of agents and then used it in the house. From what I remember from the description sheet the Device was spectral in nature.

They picked an odd room and placement to do the live feed in LT.
Anyone save the LT live feed video, I was told I was in it since I saw the cameraman and gave them a good "What the heck are you doing here in the middle of the atrium of LT?" look.
