Hopefully this is slowly nudging us towards getting our face characters/talking characters back after 2014's incident..

I doubt it, all season supervisors have been hammering it in how much trouble we'll get in for speaking. I know one guy in Tram got severely reprimanded for telling a guest to stop screaming. And considering the Fear VR fiasco at Knott's, Universal is pretty hesitant to loosen up.

Been saying this since day one, but does anyone listen to DTH? Nooooo.

Also, does this mean the other path is more bare in props? I think that would suck, to not be in the know, and go a different way only to get a lesser experience.

I never know how to do it either, like I wanna be clever and slip the word into conversation but usually I'm just like "gimme my dang prize!" Haha

Yeah, there's a good number of hanging clown things but there's no more kill scenes on the alternate path

I did my damnedest on Saturday to follow DTH's gameplan and it didn't work. We ended up waiting nearly three hours for Halloween and never got to do Terror Tram, Walking Dead, or Exorcist (or Mummy).

Arrived at 5:20, waited near Early Entry gates (I have come to find out that they just open all the gates now. Great.), booked it to the backlot. On the Starway, already saw a huge line for Exorcist.

F vs J (20 min wait, but wasn't open? No people being let into any mazes as far as I could tell), Krampus (20min wait), AHS (1 hour wait, but 140 posted). By then, too late to try for rides, Exorcist posted at 150min. Halloween posted as 80, so it wins. Entered maze 150min later. Not looking good. Terror Tram closed. Fuck it, we ride JP and Transformers.

We headed up for the Purge Guantlet (pretty good actually, but this isn't a Trip Report). Walking Dead at 90min. Texas at 80. Texas wins. Enter maze 120min later. Yay.

I didn't mean to write out my whole day, but the point of it is I'm brining a group with me next weekend and want to see how I can change up the plan. I've used DTH's plan every year, it's worked great until this year. Is there a new cap of visitors? More FOL being sold? It's usually dead(er) this time of year.

What can I do to get us all into the houses next Saturday (and I need to see Exorcist, I've been dying to see it)?

This was the first opening weekend in Hollywood's history that sold out

This will probably be my last post before I get to see the promised land. I'd figure I make my predictions on how I think the event will go for me.

My favorite house will either be Texas or Krampus. Everything will be really good/great except Exorcist, which I might hate(also I refuse to include Walking dead here).

For anyone going tonight, I will be wearing the 2015 shirt, will light camo pants, and black socks with pink on the top with white letters spelling golf on the side, with red shoes and maybe a spooderman hat. Look for everything else first. Also I wear glasses, if you see me, come say hi. If anyone wants some pics of the facades or my thoughts on the houses as soon as I leave them, check my Twitter page out @locustgear3

I hope this year is as good as we all hope.

I feel like I'm the only one still holding out for The Exorcist. I was talking to a few of the Regans that were in that maze and they said hardly any effects or figures were working and there was supposed to be more scenic added to the transitions. Hopefully it'll improve because I wanna love this maze, I really do.

I'm in pool and I thought September 13 is dress rehearsal and I was not aware this is the same day as EP. I don't even know if pool position are supposed to come for EP or not and I never got an email for this. Even the supervisor said I don't get rehearsal.

Dress rehearsal is Employee Preview. Probably be best to call entertainment base or ask a supervisor because some of the call times are ridiculously early

I have always gone the same weekend for years which is the weekend of 10/16 but due to circumstances such as work and living in Chicago now I can't seem to go in october this yer which breaks my heart. I am looking at going on 11/04.

I know last year they had the "After Party" or whatever which was not announced till last minute but I was wondering if anyone had crowd predictions for the last friday of the event.

    Thank you!

I actually went the last weekend last year on the final day. The last day was moderately crowded with hour+ waits for mostly all the mazes but from what all the employees were saying, the day before was very light in terms of attendance
