Some victim roles do look fun. If I am a victim, I atleast want to scream and move. The victim roles that are boring are the ones when you just need to lie down very still pretending you're dead.

Oh yeah those would suck. Anything they could use a dummy for though they typically do, rather than pay someone there to play dead. When I was a victim at HHN Orlando I got chased around with chainsaws and auctioned off on top of a bus. It was probably the most fun I've ever had in my life :)

  2. When did you go through? The bates area has a ton of actors, but I'm not sure about the rest of it.

Tram has a huge cast of roughly 120 people.

I went through 9/26 around 10:30 PM. I was shocked because I expected to see a TON of scareactors based on what I heard about how many they cast, but it was very scarce when I went through. Not sure if it was just a switch out time, or what, but I felt like 70% of it was just walking around with a purger popping out every few minutes. I was really hoping they might take some elements from Orlando's scarezone last year with the bus auction. I know that probably would have been difficult to set up back there, but I didn't feel like anything really compared in terms of complete immersion. Also, I was hoping for more people in 'traditional' purge masks like at the beginning of the zone. There were some really strange scareactors further down by the WOW set that I didn't feel like fit the concept. I LOVED that patriotic music though...

  3. Bleh so I checked in with casting to see if they still expected to put people into the pool, and they emailed me back saying all castings have gone out and then said this

"It is likely that although the casting directors liked your performance, there was no role they could fit you into. Thank you for your time and interest"

So looks like there's my answer... kinda seems like maybe they won't be sending any sort of notification this year.. :(

I can only afford to come one night but I'm excited to see what you guys have been working on!

  4. I would say wait just to be safe since tickets won't sell out for the entire event super quickly, at least last year they didn't. Tickets sold out about a week-ish before the weekend you wanted to go. I know they use everyone in the pool that's been cast there but I think they keep people as backup for when scareactors leave instead of holding another audition so quickly. I could be totally wrong about all this though

Thanks for that info! Its Friday now and I haven't gotten any sort of status update, but my gut is telling me I probably won't hear anything until after the event starts. I don't like holding out for hope that people will quit, but I guess that's all I can really do at this point. When do they typically do another audition? After they've used the backfill people?

  5. I'm assuming at Orlando? What happened and what was it like?

Yeah in Orlando! We'd run around the scare zone getting chased occasionally by purgers, then we'd wait for a signal and go hide. They'd chase us out of our hiding spots with chainsaws when the crowd formed, capture us and throw us into the truck. Then we rode around the street for a minute, got carried/dragged out and taken to the top of the bus where we got auctioned off. Once they brought us back down, we'd always escape and run for our lives. SO MUCH FUN and such an adrenaline rush!!!

there's always a possibility that you can get into pool with that large of a cast but what will most likely happen is you'll get an email as people drop and more are needed

very interesting how they do it here! I was reserve last year which sounds similar but they hired a TON of reserves and we were almost always used every night. I don't want to buy a ticket to HHN if there's a chance I'll get to work, but I also don't want to miss out on it completely! Struggles.
