I've always enjoyed the 3d houses myself, even if they're not scary. They're like funhouses, and are a great break from the action, although I guess B&T does the same thing. Even if this house won't be too scary, I'd be down.

In all honesty, the only thing that stops it from happening is Comcast's end. They wouldn't want it bc it's not very popular, but Nintendo would do anything for any extra publicity. Remember, Playboy

Nintendo half-owns Fatal Frame and Eternal Darkness, although they don't have any ownership over Castlevania atmAnd Tecmo owns Fatal Frame and Silicon Knights own Eternal Darkness.
And 2014 was the first profitable year Nintendo had in the last five.

Well, if Nintendo does expand into KidZone and the MIB area, we could potentially lose the parade building and tents, and also the Disaster building might not be there soon for HHN either. The Nintendo stuff isn't fact AT ALL, merely educated guesses, and I'm not too sure about Disaster but others are under the impression that that's going to leave. Check out the Nintendo Expansion in regards to HHN thread for the better explanation lol, and let's keep that discussion in there from now onAm I interpreting that correctly? Are there really rumors that we could be losing 4 houses in the future? Would that be an event with only 4 houses? Surely, I'm missing something.

Wow, I actually think that's a great idea! It could take some of the crowd away from HHN (not by much), and if we do lose up to 4 houses as is being speculated, they could use as much help thinning the crowds as possible, and I think this could be pretty good.Later down the road, if the event NEVER comes back to IoA, could/would/should IoA be used as a Halloween event in a way that competes with Mickey's Not-So-Scary?
EDIT: Rereading this, it seems kinda sarcastic, and I did not mean for it to sound that way. Is gud idea

Fatal Frame is, but I do also find it unlikely that Nintendo games will ever appear at HHN. I just wanted to point out the fact that Nintendo is not doing as bad as you say lolYeah, and it launched in 2011.... Without a doubt great sales, but out of all the games mentioned in this thread (I believe they were Fatal Frame, Bayonetta, and Eternal Darkness), are any of them even sold for the 3DS platform?
-
Oh, I'm surprised that you're bringing up sales figures without even mentioning the 3ds! Need I remind you that the 3ds family's last report shows that they have sold, oh, around 50 million? That's twice as much as the ps4 lol, so I think that saying there's a lot less hardcore gamers in the WiiU ecosystem than the other consoles would be accurate, but NOT the Nintendo ecosystem as a whole. And then we could count in the fact that there is no handheld xBox 1, and the PsVita's abysmal sales to even things out, but Nintendo still stands on top by far. Counting them out due to sales would be illogical, since Nintendo's sales are the best in console gaming. This is excluding PC ofc, that's its own worldThe Wii U has sold a little over 9 million units and it came out in 2012, while the PS4 has sold over 25 million in about 2 years. Who would they be advertising to? Out of those 9 million, how many owners are families or younger children? The amount of "hardcore" gamers in the Nintendo Eco system is so small compared to the Xbox One and Ps4. Regardless of the two companies making a deal to have attractions in the park, HHN is in a completely different, unrealistic ballpark. It would make more sense advertising a multi platform horror game that actually gets played by more than a few hundred thousand gamers.

Yeah, it's extremely unlikely. I'm not saying that it is likely, just that it's not impossible to ever have happen. However, this is still just my wishful thinking, so in spirit of this thread, I'm not just going to drop it because it's not likely; I'm not bringing it into speculation (or, rather, I'm trying not to) for that reason. I just wish it would happen, for my own personal sake, as all these other ideas posted in here were.

I might be "wasting" YOUR time, but some others of us are actually into this stuff, whether you are or not. Sure, some of these might have faded into obscurity, some might not be specifically horror, but being an almost-unknown IP hasn't stopped Universal before. I still don't think it's likely at all, which is why I'm keeping it in this thread (I do believe this is the *wishful thinking* thread, is it not?), but it's still and idea that I think would be cool, as I'm sure others would/do. Eternal Darkness is a cult classic game, and it garnered outstanding reviews. Fatal Frame might not be ginormous, but is still a somewhat popular franchise. Bayonetta IS super popular, although it's not exactly horror, it has horror themes. However, the thing that makes these ideas float to the surface is the fact that Uni is partnered with Nintendo. And if it is obscurity you're worried about, then what about some of the other obscure houses, or even original houses? Those are also largely unknown to the public, and the originals aren't even from any IP, so they aren't going to draw in major crowds, yet they're cool horror houses nonetheless, like these houses could be.It will never, ever happen. Nintendo will not want it. Universal will not want it. The demographics HHN caters to will not want it. A Nintendo zone will appeal to primarily younger people (trying to pull people from Disney into the parks), people who will not go to HHN. The properties Nintendo has will NOT fit into an event. The titles you are suggesting are laughably unknown. Also, realize how themed the zone is going to be - Nintendo will not want walking dead Mario around.
And not a single, single, single genuine horror fan will like the idea of this compared to what else they can do.
Quit wasting time on this idea.

I can see them doing some great things with Eternal Darkness. Remember when the game "blue screened"? They could do something like that, like making you think part of the maze hadn't been done, or that you're done early. It has enough material for a great houseWhich do you think would make a good maze from these three in Nintendo? Bayonetta, Fatal Frame or Eternal Darkness Sanity's Requiem?
-
Suess Landing situation? If Nintendo takes over Kidzone, it would be another Seuss Landing situation.
-
OBJECTION!!! Actually, while I do believe in what the ol' doctor had told us about what universal is planning for this year's event, anything could change from now until then, as it is not 100% set in stone. Some of us still have hope that this can happen, and so that's why this is in this thread. This isn't in the *speculation* thread, it's the HHN 25 *wishful thinking* thread, and so these wild guesses and wishes are still valid until it's been completely confirmed by Uni themselves.Go to a different forum then. This is HHN25 wishful and it obviously won't happen this year.
-
I'll make a new thread for future HHN wishful thinking in general
EDIT: it exists already as the What If thread : P
-
Seriously, stop talking. This is embarassing to even relate these houses to HHN.
Hey man, don't rain on our parade. This IS wishful thinking after all, so if you don't care about our opinions, then don't say anything. There's no need to be rude, however, since this is stuff that we would love to see in HHN

Hm. Then that is more concerning. I know this is a VERY long shot (don't judge), but what are the chances of them maybe drying out the water in the center of the park and then filling it with cement to allow for more park room? The MIB expansion pad is pretty much the entire area behind MIB so where do you move those tents to where a queue or queues could get to them?
If they are going to move something it will be the Parade building but once again, where to and how would they make it accessible to guests?
-
Would it not be possible to move the tents back more? And I find it hard to believe that they would get rid of the parade building. They take parades seriously at USF, so I doubt they'll get rid of itWe are all talking Nintendo and nobody wants to bring up the HHN elephant in the room?
Okay, fine, I'll ask it: what does this mean for HHN once construction begins?
I mean, they are using Kidzone and rumors are flying that they may extend into the MIB expansion pad. They could potentially get rid of the Parade building and say goodbye to the tents if they use the MIB expansion pad.
-
On the topic of games turning into houses.... How likely would it be to see a Five Night's at Freddy's house? If not this year, since it seems that's already filled up, then next?
-
Oh, that's the GCN game I was talking about! It could be a pretty good mazeHeres another Nintendo Horror Game that could become a maze.
-
oh. My bad. I didn't know ;-;That wasn't that scarred me. I was harass about it in 5th Grade because of it.
-
so I guess you know about the kids who killed themselves after hearing the music's pitches with headphones on?No just no! I'm already scarred before with that, and I don't want to deal with it again.
-
It could incorporate the rotting zombie pokemon corpses from the Adventures manga, and the dead marowak from the top of the towerLavender Town/Pokémon Tower would be a killer maze.. Team Rocket grunts as scare-actors, (maybe Jessie and James look-alikes in one room as a nod to the anime?), Pokémon puppets ala AWIL and AVP and.. THAT MUSIC playing endlessly...
Oh yeah, there were also the creepy spirit mediums and ghosts. Almost forgot about those lol
-
the Lavender Town from Pokémon? or maybe an abandoned Gym full of Ghost, Psychic and Dark-types? the Old Chateau? Pokémon re-imagined via the awesome puppetry ala AWIL and AVP?
How could I forget Lavender Town? What about that ghost girl in Luminose city, and in Phoebe's room in ORAS? I want an explanation on them sometime....
-
There was that one on the GCN, that was entirely Nintendo. Not sure what happened to it....Actually, now I have to backtrack on my statement, LOL. I think Nintendo would be up for allowing Fatal Frame or whatever horror franchises they have, I just don't think they'd go for using LoZ or like Earthbound, their series that are mostly considered "kid-friendly" (Of course LoZ and Earthbound's kid friendliness in whole is debatable. )
But anyways, I will never be truly happy until I walk into a room that is just Giygas, and maybe Pokey.
-
Nintendo could just let Universal make a Bayonetta maze only since thats like the only Mature game made by platinum games, and publish by Nintendo.
Bayonetta is sexy, not quite scary. Although seeing gods and demons would be cool. However, if it's just one Nintendo IP, I'd say it would be Fatal Frame. Not very popular yet, but co-owned by Nintendo and constantly getting sequels

While I kinda doubt we will be seeing the bridge scene from Gothic, I wouldn't be surprised if we got a flying gargoyle thrown into the mix of a couple other ones here and there. After all, that's the other thing that people went crazy over in the house, and I would assume it would be easier to recreate.
