My original concept wishful thinking is in my profile, or posted in the Creative section of Nightmares.

That said, I still desperately want to see every aspect of Literary Terror (event based on books and literature), more stuff based on true events/places (Donner Party, Chernobyl, Island of Dolls), a house set in an airport, and "Mob Zombies" (prohibition/gangster zone or house).

I believe the best horror stems from twisting what you experience regularly. A house is more terrifying than a morgue. A restaurant is scarier than a train depot. I want to go through a house at HHN and then visit that same location on the way home so all the visceral "what was that?" nerves hit you again.

A Chernobyl based house would be amazing. There's endless creative potential with an idea like that. I would personally love to see it.

  2. I'm not one of the usual suspects, but I've left a hint in two posts.

I suspected something was askew when the contractual issues occurred with the London event. The more time that passed without announcements, the more I was certain something was wrong.

I cannot give an exact time when I knew, but it was very early this week.

"Cleanse" and "Cleansed". Sounds like The Purge may be our replacement property.

  3. This one truly does stand above most, but after watching the trailer, I just don't see a lot of these scenes having the capability to be turned into a house.

While I agree that the trailer alone doesn't seem to offer much house content, DU had even less. That didn't stop the powers that be from stinking up a soundstage with it. If Crimson Peak does show up this year, hopefully it will be head and shoulders above last years attempt at synergy.

  4. It doesn't even have enough this season to warrant another house. I mean, there's not really a lot they could do:

    The church

    The fire truck

    The hospital escape tunnel

    The barn

There's always the possibility they reuse Terminus like they did with the prison, but it feels like they've done everything with Terminus.

The only other location I can think of would be the food bank where Bob was bitten. Who knows what other new environments we may see before the end of the season, but I'm going to guess that it wont be many. (Considering where the group has just arrived)

The one thing that I could see them doing different with the property would be using the Terminus cannibal hunters as scareactors. At least it would be something besides a house full of slow, stumbling zombies.

  5. Hoping for this, but sadly the five houses of Horror Story is plausible. I'm not as much of a Horror Story fan, but I think it deserves a house. I certainly don't want to see it take up half of our lineup. Make it the Mega House, if that's a thing now.

I'm betting (and hoping) on AHS being our 2015 mega house. It definitely makes the most sense. TWD surely hasn't shown enough substance thus far to support another extra large house. I'm not a huge AHS fan, but I'm hoping that it's the property that finally sends TWD packing this year.

  6. So TWD last night was brutal. Brutally boring. But it rained for the second time in the show... ever. Probably be a cool room in the house.

Tell me about it. Probably one of the most boring in recent memory. I kept waiting for it to get better, but it never happened.

I thought the same thing about the storm/barn. That will definitely be in the house if TWD returns this year.

  7. Honestly, Jack is overused. I wouldn't mind him being involved but maybe only to be the catalyst to another, fresher icon.

My thoughts exactly. While it would be nice for a change to have an icon this year, I'd much rather have a completely new idea. Throw Jack on a few t-shirts or something if they have to, but come up with an icon that we haven't seen before.

  8. I'm surprised that a Hitchcock house wasn't mentioned in the Screamscape rumors. It seems like its been mentioned in every other article or website I've seen.

Also, I'm curious to see if the Urban Legends franchise pops back up again this year. I'd love to see a Sasquatch house.

I was also expecting another TWD house this year, but after hearing the doubts some of you have, a lot of it makes sense. Hopefully last year was its send off and they finally wash their hands of it.
