I know there has been many vampire links associated with this one, but I get a strong Bioshock vibe.

1)Use of the word depth is appropriate considering Bioshock 1 takes place under the ocean.

2)ATOM is harvested from the blood of Little Sisters.

3)Bioshock plays heavily on morality regarding the harvesting or protection of Little Sisters.

4)The residents of Rapture have become soulless in a sense because of their addiction to ATOM and plasmids.

Probably just wishful thinking, but I figured I'd throw in my two cents.
