  1. Went Saturday Sept 20th...have had better HHN nights, I can tell you that much...but that's a subject for another topic, as far as wait times, here were my experiences... LONGEST waittime (posted) was Walking Dead at 90 minutes, and I believe this to be close to accurate since in the middle of the event, the line in front of the stage criss crossed several times over...Walking Dead is still a hot seller for HHN, so it will likely be a tie between this and Halloween for longest wait! Got into the line 10 minutes before park closing and only waited about 10 minutes (by sheer luck!) AVP, I actually waited approx 50 minutes, posting stated 75 minutes (thank goodness this was overestimated because I would've missed the Walking Dead house close to closing). TIP: This house uses a lot of mechanics, etc, therefore it went down for several hours when I first got to this house, really screwing up my timing to visit certain houses & the B&T show, so if you can do early and assure its working...do it (we wasted about 45 mins in line with NO word until we asked an employee who said the house was "down" indefinitely). Halloween was an actual 30-35 minute wait (posting had 75 minutes)...mind you this was UPON PARK OPENING, so i would imagine this one pushed 90+ mins later on because crowds were flocking to this one. Dracula Untold I waited about 45 minutes (posting outside said 60), so this one was the closest to the posting. Lastly, From Dusk Till Dawn, my actual wait was maybe 15 minutes with a posting of 45 minutes up front (sweet). The other 3 (originals) I did as part of AP early entry so I can't speak to those since I pretty much walked on... ...so take comfort in that Universal has been overestimating wait times, but be prepared to wait and for crikey sakes, GET THERE EARLY!!!!!!! Even with early entry (and no thanks to AVP breaking down) I nearly missed a house!!
  2. I'm actually going Sept 20th...and also taking advantage of early entry for Annual Passholders (but NO express passes), so I really got my *fingers crossed* I'm able to see ALL the houses + Bill & Ted with time to do the Halloween house again! Last year, we managed to do this (did the Llorana house again, which we personally LOVED and scared the crap out of my daughter both times we walked through). But even in September, the houses in the front studios manage to get up to 30-45 minute waits early on...very frustrating. My son really wanted to do AWIL again last year, but it wouldn't go below 45 minutes and we were pretty worn out. I guess that's the state of HHN in the 2000s.
  3. My sister claims the AWIL puppet (I wanna say the one in the subway) came within a micro-inch of hitting her, freaked her out! A scareactor in La Llorona touched my daughter our 2nd time through (I didn't see it since I was in front of her, but it freaked her out & she was in tears at the exit). I chalk it up to "accidents" and nothing more...I worked as a scareactor at HOS for 2 years and have stepped on feet, lightly grazed people and have even accidentally headbutted people...it happens.
  4. From what I observed on Sept 28th, Walking Dead house had a slight of benefit of being in the Barney/E.T. area (longest wait time was 45 mins). Cabin in the Woods is gonna be the longest wait of the night almost guaranteed (never went below 45 mins, reaching up to an hour)!
  5. Anticipation (without reading too many spoilers): 1. Evil Dead 2. Cabin in the Woods 3. An American Werewolf in London 4. The Walking Dead 5. Afterlife : Death's Vengeance 6. Resident Evil : Escape from Raccoon City 7. Havoc : Derailed 8. Urban Legends : La Llorona Actual: 1. An American Werewolf in London 2. Urban Legends : La Llorona (did it TWICE!) 3. Cabin in the Woods 4. The Walking Dead 5. Evil Dead 6. Afterlife : Death's Vengeance 7. Havoc 8. Resident Evil (fav horror game next to Silent Hill...what a dissapointment..also EXTREMELY short)
  6. Hello all, brand new to the site! (be nice to the newb) Thought I might help out a bit since I've been attending HHN for well over 18 years and also went this past Saturday, Sept 28th with a party of 7. My only "cheat", I'm an Annual Passholder and took advantage of the early entry for 3 houses (Walking Dead, Llorona & AfterLife) between 5-6:30...it saved a TON of time (as it has for the last 3+ years they've been doing this). By 6:30, I walked right into Havoc and had to wait anywhere between 10-30 mins for the 4 houses in front of the park (no surprise there), managed to do the 10pm B&T show and skipped Rocky Horror (saw it last time it was at HHN) & redid La Llorona instead, which only had a 15 minute wait later on...did the new Twirl & Hurl (hadn't done this during the day since they opened it) left the park at about 11:30pm...all this with NO EXPRESS PASS! From what I observed,Cabin In the Woods, AWIL, Evil Dead & Walking Dead remained at or ABOVE 45 minutes throughout the whole night! The other 4 went as high as 30-35 minutes, but as the evening wore on, as low as 10 minutes. Keep in mind this is September, I'd guess these numbers might be about the same this upcoming weekend, and to a lesser extent, the weekend of Oct 10-13. If you are not an AP and were there on a night they close at midnight (straight 5 1/2 hours), from prior experience, I say you can LIKELY do all the houses IF you get to the gate at, say, no later then 5:45 (they almost always open the gates early) and hit the houses in counter-clockwise order and try to do it NON STOP (0-1 restroom break, 0 food/drink breaks), you should be able to do 'em all. Doing both shows might be a little tougher, especially the deeper you get in October. Good luck OP! BTW, had a BLAST!!!! Favorite houses: AWIL, La Llorona (I'm latin, so maybe partial to the legend...freaked out my daughter both times we did it..mission accomplished) Least favs: Resident Evil, Havoc 2 (the military theme just isn't my "thing" for haunted houses, awesome sets & actors though)
