  1. hopefully there are some more videos of the streets up later in the event. I wont be able to make it back for HHN this year :-(

Aw that's too bad... Great review, glad you enjoyed it out there!

  2. Atlanta- The tank was awesome looking but has a lot more potential if they take down the walls and let the actors use it for a prop.. There was one dead body on the sand bags that looked too real and my wife would go nowhere near it because she was afraid it would jump at her.

    Wait around for a little longer by the tank and maybe you'll see something special (;

Oh believe me, we are :)

  3. Anyone else manage to get a solo walkthrough of one of the houses? On Friday, my second house during SaS was Resident Evil. I walked through the line and when I got to the entrance, there was no one else there and there was no one in line behind me either. I walked through the entire house on my own. Kind of cool being able to walk through at my own pace and not have to deal with the conga line. That's never happened to me before. The closest I've come was a couple of years ago when I was stopped at the entrance to a house for a couple of minutes and then got to be at the head of the line going in.

Went through Havoc yesterday by myself. It was very fun even though it was still light outside.

  4. I don't have the time to or interest in arguing with a new member of the forum. You can call the clear masks the trick or treaters, I'll consider the traditionals the trick or treaters and we can all be one big happy group of nightmares.

I appreciate you acknowledging the misunderstanding. I have actually been a member for as long as you have (and since the vault days as well), I just don't use the email anymore that my original name was on and I forgot my password/username combo... Oh well...

  5. Umm no, the trick or treaters had been there from opening weekend. A quick google search would have led you to the inside the magic review of opening weekend which talks about them. If I'm wrong I guess Ricky met Doc Brown and used his Delorean to go back in time to change his review that was posted on September 24th 2012 which was not halfway through the event. It is also not an update to the article considering all updates are dated.

I hope Ricky got a picture with Doc...

That inside the magic review (I'm assuming this one is the one you're referencing, http://www.insidethemagic.net/2012/09/halloween-horror-nights-2012-house-by-house-review-and-tips-as-universal-orlando-originality-wins-over-featured-franchises/) mentions trick or treaters when talking about THE TRADITIONALS. I understand it's an honest mistake for you to make, but headings mean everything. Now, if we want to keep the trend of using inside the magic as evidence, here is a video they posted on October 23rd titled, "New street characters in Halloween Horror Nights 2012" which was added to YouTube on October 23rd. If you care to watch the video, you'll see that "Trick-or-Treaters and Zombies" were added to the event. Well then.

  6. Zombies and Trick or treater legions were always at HHN 22 from the first night (and with the games prior to the first night). They added that weird group with the clear masks about third week.

    .

If you're talking about "walkers", yes, they were at the event the entire time

However, the "zombies" (faster paced) and trick or treaters were added halfway through as he said

  7. Walkers*******

    Scare zone 1/5
Terrible makeup, and terrible acting zombies. I acted like a zombie and personally got A better crowd reaction. Even with the giant props everywhere I didn't care to look around. I actually enjoyed last years more which isn't saying much. I really miss the way they used to be but atleast the houses make up for it this year.

    Overall 3.9/5

  8. I wrote an article (somewhere). I'll try and find it.

EDIT - Maybe I didn't. I know I had plans on writing one. I'll keep digging.

Basically, the first rehearsal is fitting and walk-through of the house. You may luck out and get some time to practice with the other casts. Second rehearsal is dress-rehearsal and "Review," when you get in costume to scare, and then management walks through to finally see it with scareactors (one cast) while the other cast lines up so management can make final notes on costumes/make-up.

Are dress rehearsal and employee preview two different things?

  9. I wasn't cast but I think it had to do with my height. Out of 40 something people in my group.. they only cast like 6 and all of them were tall and thin. We got the same "what's your favorite horror movie" question. It was very fun and I am glad that I went. Congrats to those who were cast. I look forward to you scaring the bejesus out of me!

Sorry to hear that! However, don't give up hope... Multiple people have received emails even though they weren't cast to begin with!

  10. Have my audition tonight at like 8:50 pm. Thanks for all the info in this thread as this is my first time auditioning. I will post tomorrow what my audition was like so it may be able to help someone in the last set of auditions next week.

    Good luck! Don't be shy!
