I added a few more songs from the lagoon area which I recorded last night and was able to positively identify. They seem to be favoring The Exorcism Of Emily Rose soundtrack in that area. I am guessing there are more tracks from that CD (which I do have) that I need more reference recordings of to verify. Still have some more footage coming in in a bit.
-
Well I finally got to go last night but unfortunately my camera that does video died early on so I couldn't record anything. I did definitly hear the Excorcism Of Emily Rose track near the lagoon as well as the main titles from TCM: The Begining multiple times last night. There is also something playing from a little radio inside Nightingales and it was an old soundding song being song by a woman. It was just too noisy to make it out. If I can get out there again there is a few more things I want to try but getting out there may not happen. Oh yeah and these are the preshow songs that played last night forthe first Bill and ted Show:
Love In America by JTX
Paris (Ooh La la) by Grace Potter and the Nocturnals
Magnetic Baby by Semi Precious Weapons

I will be there tonight (10-19) wearing my HNN Shirt. Sorry its such short notice but I didn't know for sure until late last night.

Evil Supremacy by Nick Phoenix plays in Canyon.
Thats actually the group Two Steps From Hell and the Disk is Volume #1 and its on Disk 2. Nick Phoenix and Thomas Bergerson make up that group which primarily does trailer music for movies. Thanks for the tag though!
-
Yeah you're right. Main titles. I matched them up exactly.... around 40 seconds into the main titles.
Here is a comparison fading each in and out to show they match...

On a side note... Anyone know where Universal got the Scala and Kolacny brothers "radio edit" of Beautiful people. I can't find it anywhere. I really like the song but I don't like profanity in the music I listen to.
I am sure they edited it themselves. The track they use isn't the complete song I don't think. I will go back and listen again and edit it for you if i can.
-
I added what has been posted by others as well as what I could identify from the Bill and Ted mp3 that Gambit posted. I am sure i missed some so any help would be appreciated.
-
It's ok JW I confuse easily. For example I didn't know that you could add stuff to my posts and so I didn't even think to look there. Please feel free to add more stuff if i miss it. Now i just wonder about music inside Winters Knight and Nightingales. I figure since NG is set in WWI then maybe there might be some music from that era playing in the background or maybe not. I think the song Winters Knight by Nox Arcana would be perfect for that house but i doubt thats what they use. Any insight on either of these two houses?
-
Ok I am totally confused now. Which links are the songs from the houses and what are their names? Is there music from the Thing in Winters knights que?
-
Sounds like "31 Ghosts IV" by Nine Inch Nails, to me.
This sounds like something from the Scream movie soundtracks, but not sure which one.
This really sounds like "Don't Cry" from the Silent Hill game soundtrack, with overlaid sound effects.
I don't think it is. I have heard this audio before. Let me investigate further.

New songs added to the list. Will deal with Death Drums later on in the event!
-
Unfortunately I won't be going to the park tonight thanks to this thing called the flu. I will stay home and try and do some tagging though.
Hope you feel better man! Hopefully I will see you on the two Wednesdays I am there!
-
Ok i think I am all caught up now with the list. Keep em coming folks!
-
Thanks Gambit!
So in one of the videos I saw they were playing the original Beautiful people by Marilyn Manson and the others I heard the Scala version. There are 3 different phases to the transfomation of the ladies in 7 so I wonder if there is a 3rd version of Beautiful people used?
-
I added the first 3 songs to the list on the first page based on videos i have seen and heard!
-
Well here we are folks, tonight is employee preview and then soon comes the actual opening night. I would like to get started on this years list as soon as possible so any music you hear that you recognize or know please let us know. I am especially curious about Bill and Ted this year. I unfortunately will not be able to attend until the two Wednesdays later in the month so its up to you guys and girls. Also videos help a great deal in iding music. Just please don't film where you aren't supposed to. Thank you and have a great haunt season!
-
Since the release of the Thing house for this year, I am gonna take a guess and say most of the music will probably be from the upcoming OST or score, which doesnt come out until October sometimes. Looks like we have another HHN 2009 waiting game on our hands. They did this before with The Wolfman. Unless they use the "Humanity, Pt. II" Theme.
The music on the site is still a mystery. Even one of my friends who I work with at Space Mountain (who works at HHN and is on this site), sayed that even she thinks she has heard it before and is stumped by it. O well, guess we will have to dig a bit deeper.
L.J.M.
The teaser page was not set up by A&D but rather by Universal marketing. This I know for sure. Now if I can just figure out how to get a hold of marketing! It may very well be just generic stock music.

has dusty been around? He's always good at these things.
Yeah I am here just trying to figure it out myself. It sounds similar to Glenn Millers "A String Of Pearls" but I think it's slightly different. I have a lot of Glenn Miller songs but I haven't gone thru them all yet. Of course it may not even be GM but thats what it sounds like.

I have it on good authority that the Zombie Gras music is indeed the same music used for the Mardi Gras parade but slightly altered.
-
As far as the Nine Inch Nails tracks from the Ghosts CD those are the only two I have been able to positively identify from recordings at the event. The sound effects are ten times louder than the music so it can be very hard to hearor record. Best spot i found is right as you exit Sting Alley. However that being said i do believe that there are more tracks from that CD being used all throughout Saws & Steam.
Also some notes about Zombie Gras. There are actually two different audio tracks being played in this area. One from the speakers on the float and another back by the benches across the street. The one by the float plays various snipets of songs (which I am trying to ID and the other basically just plays Feet Can't Fail me now and instrumental mardi Gras type music. They do seem to blend together nicely though. Still working on this one.
And Creeper no you're not the only one. I put my digital camera up to speakers, record, bring it home, rip the audio from the video and use any audio technique i can find to clean it up and id it. So no worries, your just fine. Me and luke on the other hand..well.
-
That's really cool Dr. Jimmy. I didn't even know there was any background music playing in there at all. Everytime I am at Finnegans for Stay and Scream it's always that guy playing guitar and everyone singing along. I guess I never really paid any attention to what was playing when he was on break or later in the evening. I will definitly add these to the list and add more as we get them. Thanks!
-
Ok I updated the list and added in a bunch of stuff that me and Luke found in our recordings. As usual we probably missed stuff so if you hear anything you are sure of let us know. Thanks!
~D
I have listen to the audio (and been through the house) and cannot really hear the music in Zombiegeddon. Anyone have an idea?
Also In hallowed past they play the treaks and foons song and I have been looking for that since HHN12.
The Treaks and Foons Music is the Carnival song listed by Verne Langdon. The burps farts and laughter were added by Universal back in 2002.

I know it has been said before but I will say it again. The girl that played Cindy last night was awesome. Played the part to the hilt and her quirky movements and way of speaking was perfect for the role. I really got a kick out of talking to her. So kudos to her whoever she is.

Great pictures of the VIP Lounge. I can see the back of my head in a few of them. I am always amazed at the quality of your photos and I thank you for preserving this awesome memory for me.
