funny you mentioned that. I'm not at the park. but everytime I go Nosferatu isn't there as well.
but maybe on break.
but seems like at times there understaffed.
but HOH is the spot to be at in the summer. nice and cold in there.

wow pretty clever finds. the flying actors would be interesting to hear about or see in person.
I might be wrong I might be right. but I think more of the backlot will be used this year for the terror tram.

those type of creatures would definitely be scary if utilized right. mostly in a maze or terror tram area.

I read somewhere. forgot where exactly. they used that character to get more outreach to the Hispanic society.
was pretty clever idea though.
a lot of ghost / creature stories out there universal or knotts could work with.
anybody see the lost tapes documentaries?
I know the documentaries are fake. but with enough back story for it could work pretty well.

I know it's early for any parks to hire or rehire people. I'm posting too show sportsmanship. good luck too any newbies that wanna take on the fun but demanding role for people's entertainment. whether you choose to work for knotts. universal. six flags. queen Mary etc. there a fun seasonal gig for anyone that likes to scare. but yes it's not for everyone. ( for those that are puzzled what I mean feel free to ask and I'll verify what I mean) time flies when working these events. but its well worth it. be safe. have fun. and knock'em dead LOL.

as I browsed this forum for a few years. I noticed you been mostly in scare zones at universal. do you like them more or rather be in a maze?
and did you play " the miner " for mbv?
and to answer ferox question. the answer is maybe.
just like many would say knotts gives you a long rope to do what ever you need to do to make your character work.
some like it some don't. a lot of people come and go. I'm assuming its the same for universal.
some take it seriously while others its just another paycheck.
but to each there own.

I seen you a few times. and ya that's the only bummer about knotts. they was the costumes once a week. ya because I was thinking about auditioning this year for universal but am unsure. just wanted to know how much freedom you guys have. I'm used to chases. having a prop & not. covering multiple scenes due to the drop out rate etc. went to auditions for universal last year. but that open call audition line was moving way way too slow so I had to leave. and last year was the first year knotts had a better break schedule. 2011 was a nightmare with that.

how much leeway do you guys have for being an actor for universal?
Is management really strict on everyone? or is everything go with the flow ?
I've been working for knotts for the past 3 years. and they just pretty much let you do as you may. just as long as you don't touch anyone.
just wondering how things are for universal.

I only asked that if Orlando used the noise and light effects like hollywood does because I never been to the event there.
how one gets hostile over that is beyond me.
its like saying some people like the packers. new England patriots. etc. if you don't like the team or whatever you or may not follow. doesn't give someone the right to automatically start crap with someone.

the "button pushing noise or strobe light effects " are used in Orlando too?
hmmm interesting.
that seems to be the " new wave" of idea's for things for Hollywood since 2009. I don't really recall them being used heavily in 07&08.
but I know 1 thing the price's for things are going up& up. with actors getting less & less in both mazes and scare zones.
how about thing's in Orlando?

yes I know this place has a higher budget capacity then knotts or six flags.
but I think people go to see the event as a whole. not just whats within 4 walls.
ya the quality is there. some people are good actors. while some don't do anything.
didn't have a chance to go last year. so couldn't really chime in on the terror tram.
and sounds like that overly for hoh was the best yet from reading everyone's reviews about it.
think the creative minds behind this event could do more. for everywhere in the park.
I think they don't get rid of the klownz scare zone because of the fact the ring leader is a good attention grabber. with insults. but it is getting played out.

would like too see more actors everywhere. more scenic displays in scare zones. maybe huts and hideouts within scare zones like Orlando has.
seems like as years go on actors get less. and ticket prices go up & up.
I remember back in 07 - 2009 I think fol passes were worth it.
nowadays wasn't it like 1 hundred and something for the real fol pass for unlimited times on anything.
not the basic fol pass.
they can put 2 scare zones on the lower lot. not just have 1 zone with 5 or 6 actors interacting with hundreds of people per night.
think someone on here said it or somewhere I don't remember where but price for scare isn't great.
