I've lost count of how many different variations of 3d houses I've been through at various haunts and even the best ones are only "bleh". Most of them generally have the same feel and they're just not the kind of horror I can get into. Besides that, you have to put on those glasses which never seem to want to stay on while making my way through and are mostly a distraction. I've yet to go through a 3d house and say, "wow that was so amazing", although a couple of them had some decent paint jobs throughout the years.

I pretty much agree. I can't even wear the glasses just make me sick and I don't enjoy it at all. The ONLY 3D house I found amazing was the In Between. there was an old on in '98? that wasn't bad... but that was in the 90's different time. But to each his own. Outside of HHN, I think, yeah black light is cool. But saying it's scary is silly to me.

I'd buy the shit out of a Krampus bell ornament.

I have two they can be bought at Weta for $14.00

I only bought the one but I guess they sent the other for being on the waiting list for so long? That or they just goofed.

This is quickly becoming one of my favorite all time horror movies. right up there with gremlins and Trick R' treat. This alone will drag JW to the event lol

So we might end up getting ghosts/undead characters in a western ghost town with no pistols... I think I may have brought up the possibility of this happening several weeks back. I really hope this change didn't happen. People from the old west had pistols so their recreation of the old west should probably have them too.

No idea honestly. Not probing for info. Just speculating on rumors.

  5. Would they cross promote the other houses? Could AHS 6 actually be HHN in some way? Perhaps Chance is in AHS?

I'm not thinking so. But would they make individual trailers for HHN that don't tie to the show... seems unlikely. '

Still the ?6 is very compelling for 26

Although if that ever did happen... the crowds would be absolutely unbearable.

Plus their Halloween is "different" than ours and announced at the same time.  Maybe just the ending????

Still, announcing a house at different times, even if only similar by name, seems a bit odd.

Might be why Legacy and Company are afraid to say anything is 100% as more things are still in flux than is usual.

All houses seem locked at this point but last year proved nothing is concrete until it is announced. Still, aside form the entire IP proposed list that was whittled down, there hasn't been really any surprises. I didn't know about Chance but I wasn't looking either. Others did though. The originals are always the last thing we find out but even those are pretty locked at this point.

  7. Even though they are IPs. They are never the same the next year. Yeah AWIL was brought back but... that was after it was torn down. They still had to rebuild it. We are also taking about the company that build two, identical, mirror image houses in 2005... just to show off.

It's probably safe to say they have a bigger budgets than some countries.

  8. It's no mystery that universal security and I are on shaky ground (as far back as 2002 I've have incidents). Aside from all the grief they have given me over the years for buttons, trinkets, and wallets I've brought, I bring my Nikon every year and every year they hold their hand up to the kit zoom lens insultingly like I'm bringing some giant pro telephoto lens (like the size of the lens denotes who is a professional).

As stated above, they are so hit and miss with what is acceptable. Every year is a hope and pray situation with me. I don't dare bring monopods, tripods, or even a handheld gimbal. But many people do get away with it so maybe it's just me.

  9. "worst year" is tough. Each year has it's strengths and weaknesses.

If you want to say worst street experience... and in the modern era... 2007. Old era had few street experiences but was 92? 93? they put scareactors into the ride queues and it was pretty lame.

house-wise... I couldn't say. I've genuinely loved houses at every single event... and typically just dismissed some as well. My worst house experience was Vampyre bloodbath. one run through 1.5 hr wait time, to get stuck behind morons. House was super short. Also my highest anticipated that year.

FEELING-wise is easy for me. Last year. Absolutely terrible. Didn't get to all the houses. Barely stopped for a bathroom break let alone food. Paid out the nose and still came to the conclusion that you have to do express. Overall very stressed, upset, and generally just aggravated the entire night.

But see the varies from person to person. Before that HHN 20. I was injured on a fence in an unlit line. I was evacuated out of line twice (once do to an underage drinker well exceeding her limit and passing out in line), and I was harassed and humiliated by security for having buttons.

Before that 2007. Great Great houses. Horrible horrible lines. Didn't see Jason of Jack's house. Saw literally 3 scareactors in the streets that night. Was burnt by a cigarette, broke up a fist fight that I almost got dragged into, line jumping was completely horrendous that year as they had wide open food carts in the lines themselves and people were exploiting it.
