    Jesus... I have seen and heard many a things between working haunts myself and friends who have worked other haunts and HHN in the past, but that is a new one.

    Aw, sad day. Besides Twisty she was the best part about that season for me.

    Not to derail from the actual topic too far, but I was literally thinking about this yesterday in regards to next year already- specifically if the rumors of them doing AHS season 2,3,and 6 are true. I just finished rewatching season 3 and most of the "voodoo" in that season is very akin to the Voodoo Queen from a few years ago. It makes me wonder if they'd cut it out/tone it down in that section of the house... which would suck, because it's a huge part of season 3 (and also, imo, where some of the creepiest parts happen.)

    Hm, I feel like it'll sell well because most people have weekends off to do events like HHN, regardless of it being crowded or not.

    (8/25/16) Halloween Haunt will come to California's Great America on select nights from Sept. 23 to Oct. 30, 2016. New for 2016 the park is taking the scares to a new place with FEAR VR: 5150, described as a "groundbreaking and horrifying virtual reality experience. Strapped into a wheelchair and wearing Samsung Gear VR headgear, guests are at the mercy of the "maniacal hospital staff". FEAR VR: 5150 will require an extra fee to experience, and it not available as part of the Fright Lane or Fright Lane Plus programs.

     Technically HHN is copying the idea from... well lots of other groups/companies. Six Flags Great America has a VR coaster right now. At SDCC AHS had a VR experiance. 
    VR is a hot thing right now, and it makes sense  that haunts/events will start to latch on to it. They aren't so much copying as following the trend. The question, for me anyway, is which ones are going to be worth the money- I.E who will do it best?

    My bad. I tend to think that, after a few years, spoilers are unneeded but I totally understand not everyone has seen it :P

    I hope they do something with Edward Mordrake and his band of dead freaks. That was one of the best parts of the whole season. I'll have to rewatch that season, but I remember being disappointed with how small of a part he played though. 

     

    I wonder if they'll be using more of an original approach with certain parts of this house. Twisty is a cool character, but I hope they don't put all their focus on just him.

    Agreed. He AND Twisty. I just finished rewatching FS for the first time since it aired and forgot that Twisty dies after, like, the fourth episode. And Mordrake is creepy as hell but also underutilized. While the season has some good moments I now remember why I was so... let down by it. 
    I'm really hoping for all the obvious scenes- I.E Big Top entrance/facade, inside the tent, Twisty's Bus and/or woods, and a tent scene with Mordrake, BUT I also really hope that we have at least ONE moment with Chester and Marjorie which were, IMO, one of the few highlights of the season.
