  1. Tons of great shout outs on Friday - I love to trade waves and blowing kisses with the Vanity sin. And thanks to the Vanity minion for NOT showing me the mirror - things were scary enough as is without me seeing THAT! :P

Envy minions were in my face all night - they've got that snake thing down cold. Most of the minions wanted to sit down on Fred - with all that energy they expend, I can't blame them!

Always have fun with Gluttony minions, but one especially funny interaction. Minion: "I love meals on wheels!" Me: Looks at minion, then at empty chair, then back at minion. Minion: "Okay, I love meals PUSHING wheels!" Quick, dude, love it!

Also saw another girl taken down into the fetal position again - you know it's gonna be a good night when that happens. Keep it up, all!!

same here. i also have to acknowledge the Gluttony sin for always coaxing my Duffy bear with the grapes. and many of the minions to, mainly for targeting both my Pal Mickey and Duffy (who are my 2 scareactor target allies)

  2. some shoutouts from last night (10-21-2011

*Cast A (i think) of The Forsaken for scaring the hell out of me (as i was virtually the only one at that time), and the scareactor who targeted my Pal Mickey who said in spanish that he thought he "killed" mickey once, but he even said that he'd "kill" mickey again, as well as Duffy the Bear.

*Vorpal for giving me one great scare at Nevermore

*The scareactress portraying gluttony which had fun with Duffy, along with the entire 7 cast (especially the two lust minions who really targeted Duffy, and poked fun at him being non-universal by telling him "he doesn't belong")

*The thanksgiving chick who "stabbed" Duffy, and the pilgrim guy @ Bloodengutz, who made me scream from his musket shot.

*Lady Luck's goons who targeted me for my Duffy ears, who also ganged up on Duffy when he got "scared".

  4. put me up for tomorrow (the 20th) and friday 21. As for my All Scares Bulletin for tomorrow.

I'll be wearing my HHN Hoodie and HHN 19 Saw shirt. But since i've learned that some family members will be there tomorrow night, i won't be bringing (or wearing) any disney related scareactor target items (although Duffy will be with me, he'll be in my backpack all night, so don't be afraid to scare me with random "Where's Duffy now?!" like comments). Hat-wise, i might be wearing my Michaelangelo baseball cap (since orange is blacklight friendly, along with the eyes)

for the 21st, things will be back to normal, but i might be wearing one of my blue disney hoodies, my "The House Always Wins" shirt, and Pal Mickey and Duffy will be there (Duffy will probably be wearing a red disney shirt, along with his "firefighter coat with reflective strips", and his blue jeans).

  5. How were the crowds?

i was surprised that the wait time for some of the houses were less than an hour. the longest i waited for was almost 45 minutes for The In-Between when i went the second time around last night.

  6. Shout-outs for 10-14-11

*Cast A for Winter's night, especially the last "grim reapers"

*Cast A (i think) of The Forsaken, especially the scareactor who said in spanish "we shall kill Mickey" (in reference to my Pal Mickey)

*HR Bloodengutz (don't know which cast though), who asked who my friend (Duffy the Disney Bear) was.

*The scareactress portraying gluttony which had fun with Duffy

*One of the sloth scareactors which tried to get my Figment hat, along with the two lust scareactors who tried to follow me afterwards.

  8. Add me for tomorrow (10/14). as for the scareactors here's my All Scares Bulletin for tomorrow night.

    All Scares Bulletin (for me)

    I will be wearing:

the HHN 21 hoodie (with retracted sleeves)

"A New Age of Darkness Begins" glow shirt from HHN XX

    Dark blue jeans

my dark blue/tennis ball yellow-green New Balance sneakers

Tag Team scareactor target hats: Duffy Ears/Figment hat

All Scares Bulletin for Pal Mickey

It will be Pal Mickey 2.0 (he's easy to spot since he has the "Happiest Celebration on Earth" medallion on his right hand)

He'll be wearing the safari/adventure vest.

    All Scares Bulletin for Duffy

I'm going to make this one quite easy for you scareactors,

    Duffy will be wearing his:

"firefighter" coat (since it has reflective strips which are very notable in the dark)

    charcoal gray "worn out" jeans

black and blue sketchers sneakers (with silver "A's" on the sides)

  9. I would think some of the houses would absolutely have to shut down - I've almost slipped and fallen on the floors in there when it's dry! Even worse when it's wet - back in 08 (Scary Tales) when the Tin Man sprayed my girlfriend I stepped in the water (.....or, yknow, oil) and tripped and slid right into her.

Double scare for her - LUCKY - but for me it was just like "wow this must be really dangerous in the torrential rain."

I heard about the Friendly Steampunk house getting closed down, but that's because there's a part of the house that makes use of water, right?

I'm just trying to figure out if I should just go on a day where there's little-to-no chance of rain since I have the FFP . . . what do you all think (since it seems like most of you were there this weekend during the storm) ? Was it horrible-miserable-I-Wanna-Go-Home time?

about SnS being shut down on friday, that's true. As for planning for a good day, it's quite possible. As for friday's storm, i knew from experience what a rainstorm in a theme park was, so i didn't retreat at all, and instead soldiered on through the night (especially since this friday and the next one, i won't be going due to family reasons).

  10. And here is your PSA for the day: Bring an umbrella/keep an umbrella in your car and pay attention to the weather.

or if you have those small personal umbrellas, it doesn't hurt to have one with you in your backpack (that's what i did, along with having my rain suit which i originallly thought was going to be a raincoat ). and now everyone knows, because knowing is half of the horror.

  11. Considering you just throw them into a green trash bin, I assume they are just being recycled like any paper product. They come in boxes by the hundreds, flat, so no real way to re-use them.

that is unless you have those blacklight-friendly posters that they sell @ Spencers, or even watching anything which has bright colors (i.e. Red, Orange) which add to the depth. i'm even experimenting with some of my 3DS games (with the 3D slider turned at it's maximum) to see which have even more depth with the ChromaDepth glasses.

  12. [Current General Stats]

    Total Nights: 1

    [House Stats]

    Forsaken: 1

    In-Between: 1

    Nevermore: 1

    Winter's Night: 1

    Nightingales: 1

    The Thing: 1

HR Bloodengutz's Holidays of Horror: 1

    Saws and Steam:1

    [show Stats]

Bill and Ted's Excellent Halloween Adventure: 1

    [Achievements for 9/23/11]

    * "Blame it on the Rain": Dealing through yesterday's thunderstorm

    * "One Brave Bear": Introducing Duffy the Disney Bear as a Scareactor Target Assistant

    * "Opening Night": Attending an Opening night for an HHN Event

    * "HNN Hunt": Meeting at least 3 HNN members.

  13. yesterday was a good HHN night, as it was the first time i ever attended an opening night for any HHN event. Now i managed to get through The Thing before the thunderstorm began to really hit the fan. Fortunately, i had my umbrella attached to my DS bag, and i had my rain suit (which i originally though was a raincoat, only to find out that it was the rain jacket and the MC Hammer-like trousers). fortunately, i did get through all of the houses at least once and Bill and Ted was ok (but both the house and B&T show will be covered eventually). But i did get to meet other HNN Members as well.

As for my newest Scareactor Target assistant, he did a great job in getting some scareactor attention.

  14. some from yesterday:

*The Dracula-esque guy in HR Bloodengutz, who noticed my signature mickey hat and asked "are you sure you're at the right park?"

*One of the scareactors in Nightmaze who called out my username ("figment!")

*One of the stilt scareactors in the garden scarezone who pointed out my Duffy bear (who made his debut as a scareactor target assistant yesterday).

*The soldier in Nightingales who "shot" at Duffy, Pal Mickey, and me with the mounted machine gun

  15. I was definitely in a line with these guys last year. So annoying, it was like every other minute they would shout "T-Shirt Time." Something similar, in 07 I was in a long line for the Texas Chainsaw Massacre house and there was a group of guys yelling "Buttscratcher" like they were trying to sell them (Family Guy reference I think). Pretty much as annoying.

Other than those annoyances, the only "bad" experience in a line was waiting behind this guy that lit up a cigarette every time the line stopped moving. Even when some Universal employees came to get him to stop, he'd just hide it and start smoking when they were gone. I guess as my worst line experience it's not so bad at least.

speaking of smoking, i wonder if the staff are ready to take any action if anyone pulls out the E-cigarettes to smoke in line.

  16. DNA sample of Lady Luck?

Looks like he put up a bit of a fight.

DNA Sample perhaps, but what about the skin cells? I just hope that whoever ran out of luck with Lady Luck didn't happen to be named Jean Jack Gibson.

P.S. If anyone doesn't get the Snatcher reference, i would recommend downloading it for a Sega CD Emulator.

  17. i've never had an altercation in line, but i've had some rather odd moments, including running into a group of some guys last year while waiting for Havok, whom i thought were from New Jersey, mainly because they were constantly referring to Jersey Shore by shouting "T-shirt time!!". but aside from that, it hasn't been that much of an issue which evolved into being absolutely obnoxious.

  18. add me up for September 23.

As for the scareactors, here's my signature All Scares Bulletin for 9/23 (which is something i do each year to get as many scares as possible).

Be sure to look for the following individual (me) wearing the following:

    [guaranteed attire/items]

*"It's Showtime" shirt (to commemorate the start of HHN)

    * blue jeans

*navy blue/tennis ball green New Balance Sneakers

    *Blue Eastport Backpack

*Mickey Mouse Hat (one of 2 hats which will be part of my Tag Team switchout scareactor hats)

    * NEW THIS YEAR: Duffy the Disney Bear Ears (the other hat which will be involved in the Tag Team Scareactor Target hats)

    [scareactor target "Assistants"]

    * One of my Pal Mickeys

    * NEW THIS YEAR: Duffy the Disney Bear (very easy to spot since the light brown area of his face shares similarity to Mickey's logo)

    [Pal Mickey Details]

*Originally, I was going to have my Pal Mickey wearing his original HHN Debut outfit which was the safari/adventure vest. But due to some time-related constraints, he'll be in his classic attire (red shorts and his yellow shoes)

    [Duffy Details]

*Duffy will be wearing an orange hoodie (which might make it easier to spot, especially in blacklight areas) with blue jeans

  19. I was walking around campus today (University of Florida) between classes and saw one of the campus buses drive by with an HHN advertisement on the side. This is the first time I've ever seen that here. I was able to snap 2 pictures before it drove off.

nice photos. This is why I often bring my camera with me, especially during HHN season. today alone, i took plenty of snapshots of some of the HHN material at my local publix with my Nintendo 3DS's camera.

  20. i usually go for the first two soundstage houses which open following Stay and Scream [Writer's Night and Nightingales], then move on to the parade warehouse building [Forsaken], then Tent 1 [in Between], and Tent 2 [Nevermore], then the Jaws Queue [saws 'n Steam] and proceed counterclockwise. when i get a chance, i will go to B&T
