  1. The seller took the listing down after I contacted him (wasn't my intention, just asked for clarification on the item).

    original message:

    Dear craig7878,

    Hello there,

quick question about the authenticity of this item. Is this shirt altered in any way from its original for that you can notice from that shirt. If you can tell me anything you know about this shirt, please let me know because we've (horror nights fans) never seen this shirt anywhere before and believe it is altered from this original version: http://www.horrornightscollector.com/photos/2006/2006037.jpg

    Thanks:

    original reply:

    Dear batwing_2000,

Hi - thanks for the note - I found this along with several other HHN shirts at a garage sale in Orlando this past Spring. I looked at the shirt and compared it to the others and the only difference I can see is that the tag on this shirt is a basic Gildan tag where the others all have Universal Studios tags. I've removed the listing since we can't verify that it's authentic. Thanks for your note and for alerting me that there may be a problem with it. Glenn

contact the seller if you still want the item I guess, I'm sure it is a one of a kind. Probably not authentic but still looked funny.

  2. I'm inclined to go into a bidding war on the glasses. But - what purpose exactly did they serve? Was it a media gift? I could've sworn the gift for that year was a plate of cookies, not bloodied glasses...

Yes you are right. The cookies with glass shards was indeed the Media Gift for 2005. The Glasses are the sales gift for 2005, these are given to advertisement partners like Hot Topic, Publix, and other store managers in charge of any store promoting Halloween Horror Nights advertisements and ticket sales. From all the Sales Gifts, the media glasses are the most common at this time. There are different color frames available and every single one is unique since they are all individually hand-made (blood splattered). http://www.horrornightscollector.com/2005.html

  3. Ok so i guess i need to chime in here.... Yes they are real.... and if you question it or wanna call it China town guicci... Take a look at the pic i took of a pic i have... What is the usher holding here.?? Authentic enough for ya.? Any other Questions... Dont hesitate to ask.. ;)

    Thanks

the glasses are real and the ticket is real too. i can vouch for both these items and sellers in general. dont ask me about the shirt tough... never seen it before and I got my doubts about that one too until somebody I trust steps forward and gives a back history on the item.

  4. With the opening of WWOHP I can see them having that open on HHN nights, Why would you close the top rated attraction in the world, it will help boost numbers, as well as crowd control for HHN. I know Suess and WWOHP have a "No Scare Zone" clause BUT let us not forget Universal did leave a section between the two that would make a Most Excellent scare zone.

No quite the opposite in my opinion. Why pass up having people buy a separate day ticket on the same day they'll do HHN. If it were my place, I'd close it up at night so people buy a day ticket AND a night ticket.

  5. What are all those black stick looking things?

We're not entirely sure. Dr. Raymond Holmes was with me when I took the pics and none of us could realy figure it out. Our best guess is that they all are concrete block stands to mount branches on to create small trees, who knows... IF they are for HHN and not for anything else.

  6. I got some pictures already from the 2 Sprung tent areas on May 28th. All the pics are from 'movement'... things that were not there 2 days earlier. It looked like they were still taking out an old house since on the 26th the dumpster was standing full of construction type material at the back tent... now it was empty. The biggest thing back there were the rock facades standing there (most definately out of the final Wolfman house scene) they were also NOT there 2 days earlier and the Spawning tank. Also a whole load of trees laying around. No idea what they are for but I assume if they would be waste, they'd get them in a dumpster immediately when they cut them down... they are there for a few days now so who knows.

  7. Hearing all the reasons about why HP and the WWoHP will not be used, here's mine: If there's anything HP being done, it'll be done inside the WWoHP of course, I dont see anything being set up anywhere else since HP doesn't fit in with HHN to go out of the way like that to include it. Now, put yourself in Universal's shoes... you want money, so why open up a brand new ride and area that everybody will pay good money for to visit and give it away for free during another huge event happening that people are also paying good money for. Would be stupid to open something like that up during HHN and loose out on a load of $$ from people who would've gotten a seperate day ticket for WWoHP while on their HHN trip. Keep both of these thing totally apart and get double the $$.. seems pretty easy marketting decision to me, so thats why (even if IOA would be part of HHN) no WWoHP... just like HRRR.

  8. Just finished throwing together an image before any of you start looking for newly planted trees on Universal property. Not much, but its interesting. Enjoy and keep sending me your wildest tree speculation stories. Some of the stuff people told me are epic ideas in my opinion and who knows, those ideas might actualy become reality.

  9. Hints have been made of the return of LT this year, and we never really found out what actually happened to Boris Shuster.

Will he return this year? If so maybe he will begin a new career as a LUMBERJACK!!!

How funny this all seems... this is exactly how they do it behind the scenes. lol... just blurt out the ideas and go nuts. we shouuld design out own HHN every year just for the hell of it.

  10. I don't think midnight syndicate had to sign a HDA as they gave USO the right to use their music as long as USO give them credit. I have spoken to them at Gen-Con about HHN and their music.

Midnight Syndicate is pretty lenient with small haunts using their music. Just register your haunt over at Legions of the Night, hang the poster you get from them during the event and ask separate permission to use their music on websites, etc. Not exactly sure if royalties are requested for larger haunts like Halloween Horror Nights since I never saw any Midnight Syndicate posters anywhere during the event.

But we are talking more then just using M.S. music at HHN for this upcoming year. Live performances (or single performance for the opening ceremonies) are rumored to be part of 2010. If so, this is where the Non-Disclosure Agreement comes into play to keep it secret.

And I know some people started sweating when they saw the name 'Nocturas' under the 'Bloody Mary Trademarks & Copyrights' topic on the previous page... don't worry I am NOT getting into that again, no way in freaking hell. lol

  11. For some reason I can see RHPS going into T23D.. Just like Hollywood.

yup, I can believe something is happening with the T3D venue and this is probably it if anything. Information gets mixed up in the rumor process.. wouldn't be the first time and certainly wont be the last time either.

  12. so the rumor of b&t being 3d is debunked

The 3D because of the show being in the Terminator Stage... yeah, debunked by Mr. Aello. The 3D idea itself, I don't see it happening since the LED screen they use for the video segment is 10 or 15mm LED (probably 10mm since its viewed from close distance) but still a way low a resolution to get any 3D across.

If they should span a larger screen with a high-def projector in the usual B&T stage, there might be a small small chance they would do 3D gags since Avatar was so big. They'd probably use Anaglyph (red/cyan or blue)paper glasses --> around 30 to 40 cents each since the linear polarized glasses run from $3 - $4 and up... giving those expensive glasses to a crowd of drunk people in conditions you can't easily control to get all the glasses back is surely out of the question.

So I don't think it'll happen BUT never say never on the 3D part, everything is always evolving and this would be the perfect year to look into something new like this if you'd ask me because of I-Max breaking into the everyday movie theaters just now.

  13. Hm. Bill and Ted moving to T2;3D doesn't seem like a good idea to me for some reason. Especially being smackdab right next to a potential scarezone spot. I suppose they could move a scarezone, but with the rumors of there being more I think they'll need as many streets empty as they can get. But in the show it wouldn't feel right to me for some reason. So, I don't think it'll happen. Just a gut feeling.

Confirmed by Mr. Aiello as not gonna happen. The question was asked last night if the B&T show is moving to the T3D stage and he got this wtf look on his face and said he didn't hear that circulating lately. I think it was an absurd rumor to start with.

Gavin Goszka's New Anime Project Update:

Gavin Goszka announced that he is currently writing music for a new electronica

album featuring Japanese vocaloid sensation Megurine Luka. 'My goal on this is

to incorporate everything that I love about J-pop and anime music - memorable

songwriting, compelling and innovative production, and an undeniable sense of

fun," he says. "It's an interesting little experiment, and I think it could end

    up being unexpectedly addictive."

Luka's vocaloid counterpart Hatsune Miku quickly established a superstar-like

popularity, both in Japan and worldwide, due in large part to anthems like

"Ievan Polkka", "Melt" and "Love is War." Beyond spawning a full line of

merchandise, Miku has made cameo appearances in popular anime shows and has her

own Sega video game and manga series.

A full-length English-language release is expected for the spring of 2010. For

    more information, please visit: www.homecirclemedia.com

Yeah, not the info were hoping for. Midnight Syndicate is branching so far away from horrorscape

these past 2 years it is starting to concern me a bit. The only reason we got 2 CDs last year is

because it just happened to be a byproduct of the Dead Matter and The Rage horror movies.

  15. ALL-NEW SCAREZONE EMERGES FOR THE FINAL WEEKEND OF

HALLOWEEN HORROR NIGHTS AT UNIVERSAL ORLANDO

Guests Get the Chance to Inspire the Event’s 20th Year of Fear

WHAT: An all-new terrifying scarezone will emerge from the shadows this week at Universal Orlando. Guests who are brave enough to walk the ominous NY alley will have the chance to inspire elements of next year’s 20th anniversary run of Halloween Horror Nights – the “country’s best Halloween event.”

After experiencing the new scarezone, guests will have the opportunity to tell Halloween Horror Nights creators what scares them the most. In on-camera interviews or through other surveys, guests will be asked to share their favorite moments from the past 19 years of terror and what new fears they’d like to have piqued. This feedback will be used to inspire what will be the most intense year of fear in the event’s history.

Halloween Horror Nights: Ripped From the Silver Screen runs for only four more nights: October 28 – 31. At this year’s event, modern horror films are “ripped from the silver screen.” Never before has the event featured such a catalog of horror. Everyone knows “SAW,” “The Wolfman” and “Chucky.” And now everyone will get to live them in person.

WHERE: Universal Studios Florida theme park at Universal Orlando Resort

WHEN: October 28 – 31, with guest surveying occurring on Thurs., Oct. 29

  16. Hey F.U.B.A.R.,

I'm very happy you liked the Price Pack. Yeah, I wanted it all just right... once I get an idea like that, every single little detail needs to be in there. lol.

The Price Pack you got is a mix of different ideas used in various Media Items that Universal Studios released for Halloween Horror Nights over the years including the fragrance in your box is actualy from a leftover bottle that I got my hands on from Universal Studios that they used for the Bloody Mary Music Boxes last year.

Enjoy it and have fun at HHN when you get down here. It sure is different from the last years but the athmosphere in the houses is unbelievable. :)
