Miniatures. Winter's night did a pretty good job of that, just have a broken up section of wall with a miniature animatronic or something on the other end of the queen, given the right lighting the effect could work well. The price thing people keep bringing up is probably the cost of suits. On ebay, unpainted replica body pieces can go for 300 while I've seen a full suit, painted, cost around 1,500 dollars. My concern is getting people thin and lanky enough to actually portray aliens. But that should be easy enough. To avoid a double post, I'll tackle this here: That face and eye, in fact that whole face have been used on various websites: http://horrornews.net/41414/top-10-phrases-said-or-screamed-while-watching-a-horror-film/ http://www.mastibite.com/wallpaper/cache/Wallpapers/horror/scream_1200.jpg These are lower in quality. No idea where the image comes from, so I'm assuming that it's stock. Although, I think we came to that conclusion at one point earlier.

A half-life in the line. Industry, by design Plastic thoughts in my mind. Thus begins my demise.

Well... There's the movie "lifeforce" http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0089489/ Which... Is about space vampires who... Look like humans(?) I uh... Haven't seen it. I have no idea what this could mean or what this could relate to... I'm just gonna be in my corner for a bit, k? Whatever it is, probably something to do with vampires. An area of horror I know nothing about. I should also potentially maybe note that Orlando's twitter page had a picture that depicted creatures similar to the aliens in "They live." I'm going to stop speculating on this one for now. I'm... Not entirely sure it's going to be worth it unless I can confirm the twitter posts are related at all. Which they probably aren't.

I'm torn on this one. You and all of the other people could be right about aliens (including me, if you count my april fools joke), and it would make more sense for an "OMG property" to point to aliens. Especially since I don't think I know anyone who's said that the resident evil movies are "okay" let alone "OMG worthy." I think Resident Evil should at least be considered, especially with the sixth and final one coming up in 2015, which during last year it was speculated that we would get a house based more on the movies rather than the games. Not that I think most guests would be able to tell the difference, but whatever. I'm hoping we're getting aliens. The hint seems perfect and everything else does too. Then again, so does that Avon product and that commercial. Basically what I'm saying is I can't decide on which one I think is actually right. Albeit, I feel that it's more likely to be aliens for various reasons. I don't entirely think our hints are going to be THAAAAAAAT cryptic. Plus. "Beauty is only skin deep" in relation to aliens is too beautiful a twisting of words for me to overlook and turn down.

So, I've been doing some thinking. Yes, on our video game house that's most likely happening. I haven't really picked up on too many references to video games over the years, they've probably happened but they really haven't been obvious enough for me to pick out, save for a few of the more recent houses. But then I got to thinking. References could be anything, right? Design elements, atmosphere, what have you... The thing is though, I've noticed a good bit of video game music come up recently. Silent Hill's music was used grown evil, a year before the game became a maze. And interestingly enough, Bioshock and dead space have had music in hhn as well. For example: HHN 21, the songs "Destroying the lobby" and "Gil's entertainment" from Bioshock 2, were used in Nightingales. Saws n' steam (into the machine) that same year used the song "Do not vomit, do not shout" from dead space. Given the lack of information to go on, and the fact that game houses are becoming more prevalent, I'm going to assume this at least means something. I have my theories. This might mean Nightingales is coming back instead, or it means that either (or both, but that would be overkill) of these properties might be coming. If anything, this at least makes me reevaluate my stance Bioshock not coming to hhn. Then again, its so early that spec on this level, or at all might be next to pointless.

There are a few ways I can see this going: TTT is someone we already know and is messing with us by making us think we're wrong. TTT is someone who was waiting for spec to happen and looked at all our previous spec and is trolling us by making us think we're right/wrong. TTT is somewhat right about a few things. TTT is high.

I'm not saying you're wrong or right here, and that's not only because I've been threatened with a fish, but would you like to explain what its representative of, if said previous examples were not it? I'm actually asking because I'm a huge nerd and I like knowing things, but please explain it in a pm or another thread, I don't want to derail this one any further.

Sorry to have offended you. I actually love that movie. I own the dvd. I've watched it eight times and YES, while it did occur to me that ISH was based on it, given the evidence presented here, it wasn't relevant. Or was less so in accordance to this year's events. I REALLY didn't mean to disregard it. Hell, even the house layout basically confirms event horrizon was an inspiration given the spinning tunnel and what not. I'm not an idiot, like you may think I am. I was just wrong. I should note that at the time, I was thought that dead space was released around 2006-2007 or something. Around the time the xbox 360 was released. I should have looked that up, and I am very sorry for not doing so. Now can we move on? Anyways. Trust me when I say I'd hate to have dead space as a house. HATE. I'd rather have system shock, bioshock's precursor or something that was designed with even a fraction of ingenuity, rather than its bastard son bioshock or... Dead space. And after last year, I don't even want video games to touch this event. Resident evil was vomitously terrible. But, the reality is that this event isn't made for people like us. And when it comes to what's in the public consciousness, bioshock is now tied to "Infinity" which... Is much less a horror game. I haven't played it but... I already don't like it compared to the first one. And most people have no idea what event horizon is. At all. While we're on the subject, and I was going to let this slide, but YOU have also have your misconceptions. Irrational may have gone out of business, but EA can continue the series. THQ went out of business and yet saints row 4 got released. YES I KNOW IT WAS ALREADY IN PRODUCTION. If you need further proof, though: http://store.steampowered.com/app/214932/ Bioshock fairly recently returned to rapture for a fifteen dollar dlc campaign. EA can milk the franchise for all its worth until it ceases to be milk and just becomes water. We can all bicker until the cows come home, but given that saws n' steam has happened twice, I just don't see it coming back again. Especially because sci-fi concepts are so rare in hhn to begin with. It could, don't get me wrong, it could. But at the end of the day, it all depends on the money. I was probably really more thinking about public relevance and going off of what we already had seen given past. So, ultimately while I was wrong about the inspiration, the point I had may or may not be valid. To be honest, I don't know shit about dead space, so next time I mention it (and I probably won't) I'll make sure something like this doesn't happen again.
