  1. Just got the survey prompt but my screenshot program is having problems.

I don't think there'd be anything interesting in it, but I guess I'll check.

    Edit:

These were the only relevant things:

    cW92QnI.png

    VfV14cu.png

Ultimately, nothing interesting aside from Friday the 13'th not being too far off from what we're getting and the amusing fact that the singular Jack the clown listing is on there.

  2. They could of course work in the seats for whatever they're doing, depending on what they look like.

I've only ever been in that building once, and that was back in 2011 and I never actually saw the show so I wouldn't know if that would be possible.

Given that these scarezones are supposed to have more actors, we can assume that the zones might have to be bigger. What if they use a bit of Shrek as an interior area?

  3. I wonder what "the secrets" will be?

I "pledged my allegiance". Now what?

Given that everything leads to twitter, "secrets" probably means updates and "pledging your allegiance" probably just means using a hash tag.

What type of updates and from where? I couldn't tell you. Could just be from Universal's twitter.

  4. I'm wondering what's happened to Jack from the time the video towards the end of hnn 24 was released and now.

    Anyways:

based on the rumors of what's going on with Jack, would it be safe to see that this is a "Christopher Nolan-style" reboot of Jack?

I don't know what rumors you're talking about but dc parallels might not be inaccurate.

Perhaps instead of a nolan-style reboot, we're getting a "HHN: New 52" type of thing. Think about it like this:

There's a surprising amount of back story for hhn. What if what we're seeing is a universal restart of their plot assets so as to pull in a new crowd?

They certainly wouldn't be doing it just for us out of the kindness of their hearts from what people have been saying on this forum. Perhaps we're about to see the compromise between marketing and A&D, with Jack being the start of it. Or multiple "Jack" characters.

  5. There are ways to do it. I wouldn't imagine it would be the first time a company kept people in the dark about what exactly they're making.

The problem with the theory is the fact that it wouldn't be worth it to expend the resources and pull out all the stops to ensure each department is kept unaware of what they're making. Which for this line of work is impossible anyways.

Frankly, it sounds very much like a fan's dream. A precaution that would keep us guessing in times of speculation.

They're not going to do that for us.

  6. That's my question. They put all the important scenes in the house and did it perfectly. Where else is there to go? Is it an original story inside the AWiL property, like AvP? If that's the case my opinion on it coming back is the complete opposite. I'm only against this if it's an exact copy. If it's a sort of sequel, then I MORE than welcome it.

The movie? Not excessively. The house? Won HoTY with flying colors and is regarded as one of their greatest achievements, especially IP wise and of recent years. Personally, the best house since 07's NoES for me.

And it's not just a fan opinion. It's universally accepted that AWiL was a near perfect house. Very few talk badly about it, and I've yet to see a single person on ANY forum talk negative of it.

Let us hope that your theory is correct.

Trying to get lightening to strike twice rarely works and generally doesn't work immediately.

Either way, if it has to happen, it has to happen.

  7. When something is very popular...

But it isn't that popular, is it?

Forgive me if I'm wrong, I don't have a pulse on the community like some other people do, but wasn't the general consensus that "It was a good house during an 'okay' year." I can imagine it was a popular house here. I can imagine gp probably liked it. But something being a "fan favorite" hasn't exactly motivated Universal in the last few years.

Personally, I don't mind it. I didn't get to go to AWIL the first time, so maybe I can do it the second. But I can't shake the feeling that this had very little to do with fan input. I also can't imagine Universal doing something like this unless something has gone very wrong.

But if they're going to pull a "we're listening to the fans" then I'll gladly take an Alien house every other year.

    Nothing, really.

You have a few lackluster sequels you can pull from. You can try to pull from the aforementioned remake, which just got a writer five years ago.

So ultimately, "Dark and gritty remake" or "Similar but different" seem to be the most likely options here.

  8. Cryptic three could be the one pointing to Jack and Chance.

Jack and Chance seem at least somewhat based on the DC comics characters "The Joker" and "Harley Quinn."

One of the elements that carries over is the relationship it seems. It isn't exactly healthy. One loves the other, one sort of of loves the other but primarily uses them as a means to an end. Jack and Chance aren't that different.

  9. Oh boy?

    Five nights at Freddy's, eh?

Yet again more stuff where I think the source material could have been interesting if it wasn't so hyped up and... Made weird by its fanbase.

Upon the announcement of the last game taking place in Halloween attraction, I kind of thought to myself that it would make sense for Universal to do it. Kind of hope they don't, though.

I'd take a killing floor house over that any day of the year.

  10. That makes sense to me, Cassi last year was a well informed fan. Cassi this year is via A&D playing on how we dissected the clues from last year & there could be more than meets the eye to her(*coughCassiIsChancecough*)

But how then would you explain the fact that whoever Cassi is would seem to have the same voice actress?

She didn't have any public identity that I knew of where A&D would be able to contact her. It would be like trying to contact me simply based on my forum posts here. It isn't outside of the realm of possibility. Especially now that her clues are posted on facebook instead of through one person.

There's either much more or much less to this than we know.
