  1. Correct me if I am wrong, but I recall Horror Nights opening a bit early in the back side of the park at times each year. Perhaps, being that the Saw house is going to be one of the key factors to this years event, that's the reason why it will be in the Jaws que. Either way, I remember the Friday the 13th house being great in that location. I loved the Dungeon of Terror... So, as long as it is done right, it is a decent location. Reflections of Fear did suck, but I am hopeful that Saw will be awesome. Especially being that they spent a lot of money to bring it in this year. I just hate standing in line next to Bill and Ted. It would be nice if there was a que line video that could help distract from the show.

  2. I seriously doubt they would do it this year given the time frame they would need. Don't forget that they grew the corn. One thought is that they could do a simulated corn field and use the same area that the pumpkins were last year. Just a thought.

Yeah, that could work. The problem with scare zones, however, is there are so many people walking through them at once that it's hard to feel like you're actually walking through a field of corn. They could put it off to the side though, like they did with the Skoolhouse last year. That would be cool. Children of the Corn is one of those movies that was incredibly scary when I was younger, but was ruined by the ridiculous sequels that followed. That's one movie I wouldn't mind being remade, just because it is an incredibly creepy atmosphere. I don't know who has the rights to the movie though. I know the short story was written by Stephen King, so that could work with using Stephen King inspired scare zones. Anyone ever read Bag of Bones by Stephen King? Great book that could make a pretty scary flick. I also enjoyed "The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon."

  3. Don't forget the corn field from Field of Screams was almost destroyed by a hurricane and they were able to make enough out of it to be a pretty good zone. The end result would have been much better had the hurricane not damaged it. I kind of think that if they were going to do another corn field they would be growing it by now. But we can always wish.

Where would they put it though? The year they did it, they had Horror Nights in both parks. It would be awesome though...

  4. They attempted a cornfield in the past but the weather had a change of plans =/

Hopefully it works out the next time they try it.

Yeah, the corn field didn't work out quite the way one would have expected. It's difficult to pull that off for a scarezone, though it was one of my favorite scarezones that year. I thought they did a great job with the cornfield in Scary Tales last year.

  5. I was thinking about the idea that Uni could use the survey idea of Stephen King movies as scarezones this year. I think that if they did that it would work good for The Mist, Children of the Corn and now that you mention it, Salem's Lot would be cool.

On non King ideas, as CD mentioned 30 Days of Night would be cool. I could see them doing a simulated snow cover with nice bright red splotches of blood here and there. Those vamps were vicious too.

Dick, I also like the idea of a The Hills have Eyes zone too. A bunch of wild mutants would be neat.

    Keep the idea coming!

    F.U.B.A.R.

Well, thank you! I can't believe I forgot about Children of the Corn... The Mist would be cool too, though I think Children of the Corn would be awesome!!!! If Steven King is involved then you can't forget about The Stand. I would say The Shining, but that would kind of be hard to pull off without a hotel. Maybe the snow maze at the end? Oh yeah, and IT!

I too thought, The Hills Have Eyes could be quite interesting. Not too hard to pull off either.

Let's see... A Suspiria zone could be interesting. One of the only witch movies I've seen that was actually scary. Halloween as a scare zone... Though I would have preferred a house. Maybe a Van Helsing scare zone that brings most of the horror icons together battling against Van Helsing.

Silent Hill, Resident Evil, The Sixth Sense, Signs, The Descent, and more as I think of some.

    One more... Wrong Turn.

  6. Planet Terror, Quarantine, The Strangers, Army of Darkness (if it's not a house,) The Evil Dead, Invasion of the Body Snatchers, Village of the Damned, Hellraiser, Salem's Lot, and The Hills Have Eyes...

All of those, I think could make for an awesome scarezone. Not sure which ones they could actually use, but all of them would be interesting, in my opinion. I actually think Army of Darkness could make a better scarezone than an actual house. Salem's Lot could be bad ass.

  7. I did get a message a few days back stating that Usher was going to be used as Icon, But there is some re thinking going on about it.

As for Jack, I do believe we will see him this year, in one form or another. As I stated before he has been the best for marketing. We all need to remember that us die hard fans make up a very small percentage of overall guests that attend so Like him or not I think Jack will be around for a while.

If the Cirque De Freak house is true, Jack would make sense. I was hoping for the Usher. Maybe both will happen. Personally, if they are going to re-use an icon, I'd rather it be the Director. But, Jack still is and always will be AWESOME!

  8. New to the boards... Hello!

The rumors are interesting. I've always been a big fan of the older horror movies just not sure how scary it will end up being. I think the Army of Darkness rumor is awesome, but I also think it could be extremely cheesy. Then again, so was The Thing, but I loved that house. I'm looking forward to this year! Anyway, you think the Chucky house will have animatronics or guys in suits? Lol, again an interesting idea, but could be awful! Let's hope not!
