  1. Just wondering if there have been any issues this year at the Will Call booths. Two years ago I did the print at home, but last year the website didn't give me the option for some reason and I had to pick up at Will Call. It was a nightmare. Machines were down and the poor employees were having issues finding the reservation numbers in the system. The line was so long, it was terrible. I am staying onsite this year and went through a travel agent and have to pick up the tickets at Will Call again (ugh). Does anyone know if you can pick the tickets up outside the gates? Thinking about sending someone over to get them prior to the event so I can get ready and stuff. I tend to be late...

  2. Why wouldn't they let you take it? as for Halloween, you will have the time of your life lol. but for Roanoke... well, I wish you the best haha

Controlled substance. They pulled me aside during the bag check and I had to meet with the nurses and security. It was in a pharmacy bottle with my name on it, but they were probably worried about me selling it. I was allowed to take one pill with me, but I had nowhere to store it. I had to be escorted by security to the lockers where I had to spend $10 to rent one while security watched. The whole ordeal took over 30 minutes. I never had an issue there before, but I will be prepared this time.

  3. It's going to be the first on my list. I'm happy to hear a lot of positive feedback on this house. I'm biased and would love it either way, but hearing all the good things really pumps me up! The sets look awesome from the clips and pics I have seen.

  4. Ahhh that could very well be it then. Those two times would be the same cast. When I saw him pop up, it was the times I went through at like 7:45 and 11 which would be the opposite cast. Hm...

I know this is a little OT, but out of curiosity, how often does each cast stay in the house? How many times are they switched out?

  5. This is a topic of much contemplation for me. I'm not trying to sound like a prick, but, she CHOSE to go to the event and she has to live with the consequences. To me, if there's a chance you're going to have that happen, it's unfair to everyone involved: the worker now has (to try) to help, your whole group has to deal with your panic attack and try to calm you down after leaving, the people behind you are now going to get held up as your situation is handled, the scare actor who did this to you probably feels QUITE guilty, and most of all, it's unfair to yourself! to put yourself through a massive panic attack isn't ok, your body does not need that stress, so to put yourself through that just so you can go with your friends is a terrible idea. This is coming from somebody who often has panic attacks and, from time to time, they are quite extreme (physical scares don't cause them, it's more of a mental thing for me.) BUT, there IS one group of people who should feel horrible for her having this panic attack and that group of people is her (neglecting) friend(s) that talked her into going to hhn, because I guarantee it wasn't her idea in the first place.

All I'm saying is, if I were you, I wouldn't feel bad at all (though I understand why you do.) I would simply have been very judgmental of the people she chose as friends? I for one can say that if my friends brought somewhere, knowing that it was likely I'd have panic, they wouldn't be my friends much longer. Sorry for the rant, but this is a common thing that happens at hhn and it aggravates me.

I had a panic attack at last year's event. Mine occur at random and without triggers. Since I drove all the way from NJ to be there, I was more annoyed that it was ruining the one thing I had been looking forward to all year. It came out of nowhere and lasted about an hour. I was hot and getting sweaty and could not deal with being stuck in between people at B&T, sonI sat outside alone while my group watched the show. It was sad :( Security wouldn't let me take in my anxiety medicine and they made me rent a locker to put it in. Eventually it went away, but it sucked, so I feel for anyone who is in these types of situations and their friends that are losing out since they are tending to them.

Anyway, I am lucky enough to be returning for my 3rd year in a row and cannot wait for this house. Halloween is my favorite movie of all time (all genres included). I spent a lot of time in film school studying horror movies and Halloween is always at the top of my list. I cannot wait to see that facade right in front of my eyes. It looks fantastic. I'm also excited for Roanoke because I have a weird obsession with the mystery surrounding the place and pilgrim costumes creep me out. I'll be there next Thursday and am counting down the days!!

  6. I went on a Saturday last year and am so glad I purchased the Express Pass because the regular lines were enormous and I would have spent most of my night in them and probably would have not gotten a chance to see each house. I'm going on a Thursday this year and I already purchased the Express Pass because I don't want to stress out about not having enough time to see every house. If you have the extra cash, I highly recommend getting it because unless you are going multiple nights, you want to make sure you are on the shortest line possible. This leaves you with more time to enjoy the streets, shows, rides, and of course-drinking.

  7. In my opinion CitW was a commentary of what horror movies have become in recent years. The "Gods" are us, the audience, with the sacrifices being the cliched films that are made by Hollywood in an attempt to appease us, but fail because we are sick of seeing the same things over and over. The acting, storyline, etc. were meant to be cheesy.

  8. Words cannot express how happy I will be if a CitW house happens. It's possibly my favorite mainstream comedy/horror movie of the 2000s/2010s (along with Zombieland and Drag Me to Hell). Starting off in the cabin, specifically in the cellar with all of the Monster Items, then experiencing The Purge in The Facility would be amazing. The hilarity mixed with all of the Monsters would be fantastic. As much as I love the original ED series, the remake/reimagining of this year made me angry, but I would still thoroughly enjoy a house based off of the property. Maybe I'm the only one, but I love the IP houses-as an aspiring filmmaker and overall movie freak, the chance to be submerged into those worlds is a dream, er nightmare, come true.
