  1. All the scanners that I used were working last night. Did the Triad, Masters, Silent Hill, and Dead End. Wanted to try and get the four one done, but the lines were ridiculous last night. Wait times were upward of 100 minutes by 9. I eventually gave up and just did Silent Hill and Dead End for points, lol.

  2. Everyone I was with had the same problem. There were four of us.

So it wasn't just me. Maybe they were working early then went down. I did Silent Hill, Dead End, and Gothic, but got nothing. I tried to do the task, but I got there too late. Penn & Teller was like 60 minutes by the time I got there so I just went for the points, but got none. Grrr.

  3. some of the top leaderboard people need to be grounded from their computers.... for like a week. Otherwise the rest of us won't be able to get that "top spot" badge. <_<

I agree. Plus this dude leader in the Cerebin Legion is very suspicious to me. He jumped nearly 90,000 points in two days. All day yesterday his score remained the same with 14 badges. Magically this morning his score remains unchanged with 15 badges, including his 100 Morphan wins.

I got my top spot badge though, and thankfully my 100 Morphan wins.

  4. This new game is cruel and sadistic. It combines the frustration of the Cerebin game with the monotony of the coffin game. On another note, is the current Cerebin Legion leader on this board? Can't say that I'm not a little suspicious of the rapid gaining of points in 3 days... Color me curious on how it was done.

  5. So the 7 in one badge I'm assuming is for all 7 Houses in one night, right? But you still get points if you've just gone through all 7 Houses?

It also seems some members of my Legion might be starting to wake up, considering I spent ALL day playing that dang match game and moved into 2nd place. I'm only 30,000 from passing the leader. :P

  6. So the construction walls are down along the waterfront in the former Amity section now. "Shortcut" by the bathrooms re-opened. Also, anybody catch Patrick Braillard last night? He was hanging in front of The Walking Dead exit being interviewed by Local 6's Gaard Swanson. Was able to get a picture. Really nice guy. He encouraged me to drink, which is awesome, lol.

  7. Weather should be fairly beautiful today. 30% isn't widespread and if it does rain, it should just be a splash and dash shower. Typical Florida weather day actually. Looks like it will stay that way Friday and Saturday as well. For those that don't know, a little weather fact is the percentage actually refers to the coverage of the area for the rain, not the actually probability of rain. :P

  8. Looks like they found out Jordan S. and Matt E. were cheating... they had all their points and badges taken away and now sit at the bottom of the leader board with a new badge...

HA! Still my Legion is bloody terrible. I've managed to climb to 7th place though, considering nobody in my Legion cares...

  9. One thing I will say that will probably get me screamed at, I really don't take too much stock in the Facebook comments. A large number of those people aren't real or plants. I cannot begin to tell you how many fake profiles I reported to Facebook last year. I've already reported at least 20 fake profiles to Facebook this year... It's very difficult to weed out the real, the fake, the trolls, and the plants on Facebook. A public Facebook page is honestly no different than a comments or talk back section on a website. And now that the event has started, it will get worse. Not saying it's all fake, just not a very good radar to gauge reaction from guests.

That being said, I think this year is decidedly mixed so far. And there is a very clear differences between guests that went on Friday compared to Saturday. For obvious reasons. Some people really dig the street experience, others prefer Scare Zones. Both have their merits and both have their problems. Houses seem to be all over the board, which is actually a good thing. It's also a great year for those that like the people watch. :)

There's an entire event to tighten things up a bit. That's honestly how I personally feel. It's a solid year thus far, but some room for improvement. It's just a very different approach which I am not used to. I actually prefer the moody atmosphere around the entire park rather than just spotty Scare Zones, and the lagoon just adds to that for me. Not the tributes, but the moody mist and lights coming off the lagoon, is just so freaking pretty and grand. I do have gripes here and there overall, but I would just be nitpicking.

  10. Did anybody see the vampires go into Ben & Jerry's last night? That was freaking epic. They went in, 2 seconds later, like 5 people came running out screaming. I too am really liking the Street Experience. Yes, it's not as prop heavy as in years past, but the lighting, audio, actor's, and incidences like Ben & Jerry's, Louies, and Finnegans are making it all worthwhile. I suspect as time goes on the actors may get more and more comfortable doing things like going into Louies, or other places.

On a side note, I may have had the biggest scare of my life last night. And it came from foliage. That's all I'll say at risk of spoiling too much, but I had absolutely no idea this was happening at the event.

  11. I actually hit a scareactor by accident last night. I went to turn and point to show my group where to go. The guy came out of NOWHERE and I clipped him in the face. I felt so bad, but caught up to him to apologize.

However, I will say that Universal did a very cool thing for my sister last night. We were celebrating her birthday, which is actually today. She had a souvenir cup with a drink that she had just brought. Some REALLY intoxicated mofo was stumbling backwards and hit into her. Hard. Her cup went flying, she went flying, and the guy just turned around and shouted something inaudible holding up his giant Fosters can. Her cup had broke too. The staff made sure she was ok first, but then replaced her cup and drink for free. Even sang a little happy birthday to her, :P.

  12. I was surprised at how this house was less comedy driven and more about scares... well judging from a few scenes. I nearly crapped myself in the Gambling room & the Finale... there may have been one other scare in-between, but i cant remember.

    The rope is naughty

the buttons are nifty. Got sprayed & vibrated at the same time (sounds so wrong). I almost want to say that at least one of the buttons provided an effect back at you instead of the previous buffet. I remember pushing a button tonight and being sprayed (again)

Yeah, same thing happened to me. I think it's one of the buttons at the end of the line of buttons. It sprays you instead. Lol.

  13. For what it's worth, I think those walls were slightly different during EP - it was possible to get to the bathrooms at Mel's (re: the second picture). Been there, done that.

The point being, the street was closed off last week and wasn't a new idea for HHN. And it's not some maniacal scheme by Universal to mess with everyone's heads and make you walk.

  14. I'm assuming everyone complaining about the park basically being turned into a complete circle, hate the year's at IOA right? And Shrek Alley was closed off as of last week, so this is not an HHN thing. And the Monster Cafe side has been blocked for some time.

These are from September 13th. Seems like they just stopped people from going to the walls.
