  1. It might not be the most exciting night of Horror Nights, but if you think about it it is necessary. As a company USH has to give us all that info on HR, safety, attendance policies etc, just like any other company would have to do. Then they end the night by having Murdy tell you all about the event, which I always think is very cool! Once you make it through this one night every other night will be exciting.

I know, it was just. More stale than I remembered from last year. I wasn't even excited about the spoils. ):

  2. So scare academy is right around the corner! :) Wooooot!
What exactly do they go over, out of curiosity?
Just the basics of effective scaring, they show us a video or demonstration or what do I expect lol?

Expect to sit down for four hours while Murdy says some stuff. Then get up to rotate to like four stations of randomness and then go home.

Murdy goes over the base of every maze, spoiling a lot of things to the scareactors. Stations go over the basis of scaring.

  3. LOL, I don't want to kick someone out if I don't have to!

I can't tell if you're being sarcastic about regular early entry or not though. Is it going to put us at a much bigger disadvantage than first stab?

Honestly, with 13 people, pretty much any time you enter is gonna be a nightmare to finish everything. I'd assume. At least consistently with all 13 members never splitting up. That'd be hectic. I had my worst HHN experience with a group of like 7 or 8. And I thought it'd be fun 'cause it was the first time I'd gone with multiple friends. =\

  4. Scott was in a good mood when I asked him to switch out. I was originally a random Concrete Walker. It's probably easier to switch out of that maze than Terror Tram since it's much more easily replaceable.

For future reference, you can write "pool" on the sheet when it asks where you want to be placed (The 1. Maze 2. Scarezone 3. TT part). Idk if people want to initially be placed in pool from the start, but if you wanna avoid being a Walker altogether next year, I guess you can try that. But you'll prob end up being one 99% of the time from pool anyway. Lol.

  5. I got to be an auction victim last year and it was one of the best nights of my life. No joke.

Is 100 people in the pool a lot? And does that mean all 100 of those people already know they're in the pool? Waiting sucks :( I'm a returning scareactor from USF and I was feeling so confident about it but this has really been a bummer.

Yeah, it's probably double the amount of previous years, plus it's usually filled with new people that joined late, or others who end up dropping their role for whatever reason. This time, it's starting with rehires and I think new people, but rehires specifically so that when spots have to be filled, it's not filled by someone who barely knows what they're doing every time.

  6. So when I'm on my break, will I be able to go through any other mazes if I'm working in the terror tram, or will I be able to walk around the park after because terror tram ends early sometimes?

Also do I skip the lines if I'm a scareactor on break/after tram.

On TT, during break, you won't be able to walk through other mazes. Unless you're hour on/hour off, then maybe there'll be a tram, but it's probably not worth it. But yes, afterwards, since you get off early, you can walk around the park. I did that one of the times I was on tram last year since I showed up late. I was SUPER tired and my legs hurt so much, but I did it anyway 'cause I figured there'd never be another chance for me to walk around fully. Mostly to metro sets. I ended up in pool and having a chance to see metro sets, and pretty much everywhere except AWiL, during my breaks, but that's beside the point. :D

And most of the time, you can skip the lines if you show your ID. Sometimes they're dickheads. Sometimes it's just really crowded and makes sense. Sometimes management gets strict and only lets you walk around on Thursdays and Sundays.

But I'd say most of the time, you can prob skip the lines.
