  1. The video posted above (while better quality than the others I have seen) is a classic example of a "reset walkthrough".

Poor guy didn't catch ANY of the scares. There is another video online that you can barely watch (because it's so dark) but that guy got almost every scare in the house, or what I like to call, an "Ultimate walkthrough" (well, as ultimate as you can get with the preview cast and preview effects in place).

Ultimate walkthroughs are the reason so many of us go through a maze multiple times throughout the event, trying to get every scare in there (or as close as possible). Eventually it happens, but the chances of UW's happening in multiple houses on one event night are almost slim to none, hence the reason why many of us live at UO for the entire month of October :-)

    .

This post is the absolute truth . Me and my husband (who is also a fanatic and who was on the vault) live like 15 minutes away. This is the whole reason we go every night we can.

  2. Both Mary Worthington's death (Mary Agana's grandmother if I'm not mistaken ) and the rougue group The Spirit Seekers investigations at Wyandot were in Carey Ohio.... So possibly a focus of an investigation....

  3. If I'm not mistaken the 3 year arc is for LT starting in 08 and was supposed to finish in 2010. With a LT investigation each year. But due to internal issues Uni dropped it in 09 and I assumed tried to salvage in 2010 but that flopped. Anyone please correct me if I'm wrong.

  4. So to me TWD, SH, AC, and P&T seem to be completely marketing ment to pull on the general public. Now as far as these clues are concerned I hope UNI makes us do a lot of the foot work if there is going to he any kind of LT investigation or other sort of element like that. I think things have gone bad with that due to the mass release on social media such as Facebook. Where as in 08 and 05 we had to actually get out there combine our minds and do the ground work in the park. And I may be wrong but I'm just stating my opinion. Well here's to a great event and I know we all can't wait until tomorrow night!

  5. What if, and I'm going out into a place where i may sound ridiculous, what if we as the fanatic following fan base that we are get an unprecedented amount of control of the event through these "games". I'm not sure how and I know it ties in with the SZ's. I mean in 2008 we got Lt and that felt like an awesome treat for all of us that are HHN fanatics. What if its something different this year, maybe LT will be involved , maybe not, but I can help but feel it will be centered around us, as a fanbase and a team.

  6. Full website reveal is always at the end of the month (Friday, August 31st). Don't expect it to be any earlier, especially after all that negative feedback on the recent survey.

Or August 27 2008... lol Just saying we all were on the edges of our seat for that one.

  7. I love SH and have played the first 4 games and have the HD versions of 1 & 2 for my xbox. But in my honest opinion SH 1 by far takes the cake and I am happy they have not remade that game in any way shape or form. The grainy texture of the shadows and the monsters as they stumble into the light. The perfect sound of the sirens. The fog was't top notch but the first one is the best fallowed by 3 (though I am inclined to believe I am biased due to the heavy tie in with 1) . A lot of us have waited for this house and I'm sure UNI will deliver... or it could flop... but I have faith in the design team!

Also , a fogged up scare zone with "our" world monsters would be pretty cool!

  8. Well as far as the underlying theme it really has been lessened, I must agree with Legacy. At the end of the day uni needs to make money and marketing knows how to do that. Appealing to the general public is where the monies at. Now I love a good overall theme. HHN 18 was one of my absolute favorites, and LT just added a huge bonus to the group of us who frequent the event almost every night. On the flip side HHN 14 was another amazing year and that had absolutely no central theme. I have not been let down by any HHN in 9 years of going so Im sure I wont be with this one either.

  9. First year was 2002 , when I was twelve and I remember going in the park and not thinking it was too bad. Then we went into maximum carnage and after that house and the chainsaws popping out at the end I was scared for my life. I remember running into the eyeglass shop in marvel island away from a chainsaw. Then I remember going into the fear factor house(which even then sucked), then the raptors in the bushes scared me half to death and I remember not wanting to move in island of evil souls and I just wanted to go home. Then on the way out we went into scream house. I have never been so scared to this day at the event as I was then. I miss it at IOA...

  10. For me, 2008 was by far the best year for websites. The way they built up the tension with each new reveal was amazing. Didn't the Vault have the most people in its history logged in at one time that August evening when the full site went up? I recall it being 250+ users logged in

With corporate Hollywood running the show, I'm seriously wondering if Orlando will even have an icon this year.

Jeez, you think there will even be an Orlando-quality press gift?

I completely agree with 2008 being the best website. Then being fallowed up by LT was just one of my best experience I've had at the event ever since my first time back at 12.

  11. original ideas have not always been good houses, I really don't get why everyone thinks this to be true, Bloody Mary sucked really bad, there have been some original idea houses that were not great, just like some IP houses have been amazing, and some houses that people think are original (Like Forsaken) are inspired by IP it really depends,

In my opinion Bloody Mary was more for directed towards us in the Legendary Truth rather than the general public. It wasn't great but it was a good tie in as a nugget of experience for a story tie in for the investigation. But it wasn't terrible like Jack's funhouse the previous year.
