No not at all. Im with you on the wish AVP wasn't happening. There are others that were frightened off, but don't worry they'll be back and in greater numbers.
For me its not so much I dont want to see AVP its more so if I had to choose between it or CITW/Conjuring/AWIL I would choose any of the latter everytime. In defense of AVP i'm more excited for that than say From Dusk Till Dawn >.>

I just assumed its not happening because the mummy venue maze is an original not an IP. And the only other options left would be us being way off on one of these venues Parisan (Conjuring) or 747 (AvP). I kinda wish AvP was not happening and Cabin in the Woods was being put in the sound stage instead but I know i'm probably alone on that thought.

This will be the maze I only go through once on the night I go. Not excited in the least especially since its based off the TV series and not the movie.
As long as we get at least two of these three: AWIL, CITW, or The Conjuring. I will be satisified with this years lineup.

I was wondering if anyone had a Souvenir Refillable Cup from 2012 or 2013 they would like to sell. I moved out from my parents house and I left behind both my cups from those years and my mom not thinking before asking me threw them out. I have tried to look on eBay but to no luck. I don't mind if you drank from it or it has been used. I'm willing to pay shipping plus however much you want for the cup. I can send the money via Pay Pal online or cash in the mail.

I don't think will get a Insidous repeat till the third film comes out. Same with TRT, till the second film comes out. So 2015 for both.
Exorcist:
With a TV show coming out, there a possibility of getting this maze but it's a 50/50. And Murdy has been wanting to do it forever.
Alice Cooper 3:
Murdy really wanted to do this but skipped it for Black Sabbath which sucked. So he probably could do it this year. Didn't he say AC3 wasn't as scary BS ? If it wasn't then damn he maze would of sucked if we got it this year. He better have a good concept for it.
Predator:
My #1 Dream maze. When the Black Sabbath hint with the hand holding the skull everyone said it was Predator. Maybe with all the "Predator" comments, Murdy could have thoughts about making a Predator maze? Action movies but a maze would be fucking crazy
And I think we're getting a survey this year since last year we didn't.
I love how your commenting on how a maze sucked when you didn't even go to the event. And don't say your basing your opinion from others experience or watching a video on YouTube.

It's been so hard this past week not reading your guys comments and avoiding pictures about the event but in the end its gonna be so worth it.

To me from watching the video of the VIP experience it didn't seem worth it for the extra $90 I would of had to pay to upgrade from FOL to VIP even as a huge fan of Insidious. Not enough live actors scaring people during the VIP experience but I guess that's not what they were going for. The house with the projections was awesome but I was satisfied with just watching it online.
I guess if you value the Unlimited FOL and Free Food w/ drinks really high around like the $75 range and like $15 for the Paranormal stuff then I guess its worth it. Personally I'm cool with going through all the houses once then using my FOL to go through once more that's enough for me in one night.

Is there any photos of the red faced demon costume at Horror Nights yet? We've seen the Old Woman but nothing of Mother Mortis or the Red Demon. Pretty excited to see how they look, it might be best just not to see anything before hand and have it surprise me in the moment.

Yeah after reading a lot of comments from people on this matter it seems likely that's what it is. It was very strange for them not to include the Red Demon in Insdious CH2 but with the announcement of the 3rd movie it seems like that's the route they are going to go. But when you think it over it makes sense. Insidious 1 focus was on Dalton and his Demon and Insdious 2 was Josh and his. They left out the Red Demon on purpose because they wanted to save him for the 3rd and having him in all 3 movies might have been a bit much. Props to James Wan for knowing when enough is enough and it seems like hes done with the Insidious franchise for good. Leigh Whanell seems to be returning to write and act again along with Lin Shaye who plays Elise. So I have some faith in a 3rd but I don't expect it to be anywhere near as good as the first or second.
If you hated the first Insdious due to "Darth Maul" I highly suggest you avoid the 3rd movie when it comes out like the plague because were probably gonna see a lot of him again.

The only thing that disappointed me about Insidious 2 was the ending where Dalton goes into The Further to help his dad and Carl get out. I really felt like he should of run into the Red Faced Demon from the first movie before finding his dad. I was totally anticipating it but it did not happen and I was pretty bummed. It would of made it more suspenseful and added an element of danger for Dalton while he was in The Further at the end of the movie.
Otherwise this is gonna make a fantastic maze and my level of anticipation has not dropped in the slightest, I am actually looking forward to it even more now. The second movie has plenty of great scenes that could be translated into the maze. I can see the pews from La Llarona being re used for this maze for the scene with the dead bodies sitting together under the sheets at Parker Cranes house.

The "Old Woman" ended up being a male who killed people while wearing a black veil bride outfit and wore woman's makeup. So when he died at an old age and he was stuck in The Further after death that's the image he took on. His mother made him dress up as a little girl as a child so that probably had something to do with it.
Not quite there's a reason to it. But read my spoiler or watch the movie if you want to know why.

After watching Insidious 2 it actually makes sense why the Old Woman is played by a male in the movie and the maze.

Yes the 2013 event hasn't even started yet but here's a thread to pass the time while we wait for this years event to begin. Deadspace, a curse of chucky/child play series house, I Frankenstein, nbcs Dracula or Hannibal, bates motel, would work as IPs for me

Resident Evil seems like a lock personally for next year. TWD having 2 years is enough and it would get stale 3 years in a row. Hollywood loves getting properties they can advertise for and with a September 2014 release date for Resident Evil and the absence of zombies with TWD leaving its a perfect match.
If we can get Cabin in the Woods as well I would be really happy with next years lineup regardless of whatever else they choose. The only thing about Cabin in the Woods tho is what can they promote for them? That's what makes me unsure of the possibility.

Well the money they could of spent for the new commercial can now go into the event to make it better so I'm fine with the decision. We will probably get a new one next year if Walking Dead doesn't return.

Attending 4 nights and you didnt get a KDN pass? That's gonna be pricey. If I lived in So Cal I would buy that KDN pass and attend as much as possible but sadly that's not the case. I only get to attend the event once per year.
Attending HHN on September 27th (FOL pass) and Knott's Scary Farm on the 28th also staying at the resort with the Gruesome Getaway Package. Then drive back to Nor Cal on the 29th to attend CGA Halloween Haunt that same night. first year missing opening night at CGA buts its worth it to go to HHN and Knotts. This will also be my first time attending HHNH and Knott's during September I have usually gone around Oct 18/19th past couple years.
