  1. Just finished watching VHS: Viral, gotta say it might be my least favorite of the franchise only because the main segment "Vicious Circles" sucked and it failed to set up any of the other segments and wrap it all together in the end. I did really enjoy the parallel dimension segment "Parallel Monsters" and to a certain extent the skaters shooting a video gone wrong segment "Bonestorm".

None of the segments in VHS: Viral still don't compare to the greatness which was "Safe Haven" in VHS: 2 still my all time favorite of the series.

Not that it will ever happen but with the anthology aspect of the franchise there as so many options to choose from to make this into an amazing maze. But talk about really low awareness why it wont ever happen.

  2. Even tho I have yet to attend the 2014 event (going Halloween night) here's what I want to see next year:

8 Mazes, An Icon, New theme for Terror Tram, No more Walking Dead.

    1. Hellraiser 1 & 2

    2.The Conjuring 1 & 2

    3. Killer Clowns from Outer Space

    4. The Cabin in the Woods

    5. Resident Evil

    6. Army of Darkness

    7. Freddy vs Jason (Continuing the VS. theme)

    8. Dark Christmas (Original Maze)

    Terror Tram (Purge 1-3)

  3. I loved VIP this year! Best overall experience since 2011. I never thought VIP was designed to fly through the event at record pace, nor did I find having more "things" to do was a plus. After attending this year, I realized that doing the backlot tour bogged down a significant part of the event. Yes, Insidious VIP from 2013 was fun and much different from VIP in the past, but this year, we found ourselves doing more of what was already offered with the unlimited VIP. I loved repeating mazes as it helped me retain memories for what I experienced and provided a second look for details I may have missed or differences in cast.

Since the lounge and scarezone were connected, this part of VIP felt refined, tighter and efficient. It was organized well, the food was great, and our tour was about an hour after the dinner. We were able to get done with Clowns, AWIL, Minion Mayhem, and Dracula even before going to the lounge. The scarezone was fun, the scareactors were both interactive and scary, and the decorations were plentiful. The lighting and fog added a moody atmosphere.

The tram down to the backlot mazes was more of a plus than I thought after treking back there later in the evening. What a hike!

So the tram part of the VIP experience just takes you to the back lot for 3 mazes then to the terror tram where as the guests have to walk to the back lot mazes? I read in an earlier comment on this thread that someone said they had to stop every 5 minutes on the tram for a head count and I was trying to figure out why that was if there was no tour this year? Can you or someone else clarify on this better for me as I'm debating on spending the extra money and refunding my FOL passes and getting VIP passes. And if I do upgrade to VIP should I skip the VIP tram ride all together.

From what I understand when you get to the front gate and pick up your VIP passes you pick a dinner time and a tram ride time? Then you can only go into the lounge once at that time you pick?

  4. If you want to do each maze twice plus go on all the rides I without a doubt I recommend the FOL pass and if your nasty go for the VIP pass. I'm sure someone on here is gonna say they've done all of the stuff I mentioned without the FOL pass. But for me I only go once a year and I want to enjoy myself when I go and the FOL pass gives me that extra comfort without having to worry I might not get to go through everything. I've experienced going to the event with GA ticket and it wasn't nearly as fun the 120+ minute lines never again.

  5. once someone gave him the password and this girl saw him give the kid a poster and she yelled "I want one!" And he walked up to here and said in like a really loud voice "ITS NOT ABOUT WHAT YOU WANT!" (Then he brought his tone down) "But for me I got this mail to deliver" I thought that was pretty funny xD

That's funny reading this it sounded so familiar and I looked it up and HHNfanboy caught this on video on his "HHN Opening Day 2012!" video.

  6. In 2012 I wanted the bunny from the mailman but never got it I just got a dumb poster 2 times. And in 2013 Specs and Tucker gave me and my ex a Spectral Sightings Card.

Props to the actor of the mailman in 2012, I went up to him and whispered the password and he sneakily handed me the poster so others in line couldn't know what was going on. But my older brother who went after me got grilled by him for just saying the password out loud so others could hear. He did get a poster in the end tho after some scolding in a funny way. :D

  7. I'm glad last year I didn't watch AWIL's house walk through something just told me were gonna get AWIL this year and even tho they're different mazes I'm sure some scenes and puppets will look alike. Ive only seen what they showed in the preview video when it was announced and even that was more than enough for me. I want to be 100% surprised going into the houses and don't want any pics or videos spoiling the fun. That's gonna be really hard this year considering I'm going the very last week of HHN this year ughh =/ I'm probably gonna avoid this site all together until I go except for maybe the merch thread but that's it.
