I kinda wish AvP was not happening and Cabin in the Woods was being put in the sound stage instead but I know i'm probably alone on that thought.
No not at all. Im with you on the wish AVP wasn't happening. There are others that were frightened off, but don't worry they'll be back and in greater numbers.

I was set on it when we still thought it was going into house of horrors, but now i dont think were getting the maze.

Well right now for Empire we basically know that its a property with a movie coming out this year and its an appealing IP (for the GP most likely). Also its 72 pages of treatment. The Conjuring with Annabelle coming out definitely fits that. Hmm just a thought, but what about a Dracula Untold scarezone to promote the film similar to Curse of Chucky? Dracula and Vamps seem pretty traditional.

Speaking of scarezones. I was thinking about the traditional part for it and do you guys think we will be getting klownz in some shape or form? Maybe klown stilt walkers on the lower lot? With some of the klown PROPS!!!

We have a pretty strong feeling that it will be at the front to start up the event again. Not gonna lie when i saw it last night and the sirens went off it took me back to HHN last year and i started getting amped up.

@HorrorNights: One of the mazes involves a lot of advertisements, so we have graphic design people generating fake ads...tons of them.
What do you guys think it's for? AWIL? Or the original maze?

Yea one is the chair from mystery men. It has been used a couple times actually.

I'm sure there's some other IP out there that's never been featured at HHN, would make fans freak out, would require their makeup company to hire creature suit worker, and involves levels of special effects that HHN has never used. Something that Orlando didn't want to use and has nothing to do with Orlando doing AVP this year.
We might as well put Jaws in the mix then. People are talking about the Conjuring being a boring maze, I think AVP would be boring especially if it's only based on the first movie. If it's only based off AVPR then I can actually see some maze potential, but with so many setting changes and props I would think it would have a longer treatment.

I'm personally still iffy on CITW and AVP. I firmly believe in Dracula and AWIL, however.
I'm with you on this. As much as I want CITW to happen I'm unsure of it. AVP I just don't want to happen, I would rather have just Aliens and actually get scared going through the maze. I think the codename pointing to AVP is too obvious and meant to have people come to that conclusion.

Why would I be scared? Bathsheba wants Carolyn to kill her kids and then herself, she could care less about me.
Hmmm my same thought about if a Predator jumps out at me. I don't have any weapons so he ain't gonna come after me. And you can't go off of death scenes cause only 1 person died in Insidious 1 and 2 combined.

Annabelle comes out October 3rd. Its the Conjuring spin-off.

The movie Murdy is talking about took place in High School. Animal House took place at a college.

Plus HoH has a codename and the original maze doesn't so we're getting a property in HoH.

At this point it's hard to say since we don't really have a solid connection for "Teen Spirit". I know someone has picked Trick r Treat for that so as an example would you rather have TrT have its own maze and DU in HoH, or TrT in HoH and DU having it's own maze? There's another one CITW in HoH or Dracula.

Especially with the Annabelle movie coming out October 3rd. It gives it a release to go with the movies as well as an Icon with the maze. Could see it being like the insidious maze with the first movie being the first half and the second being the second. Only with this maze the order can be reversed. Also was reading more about the film and seems like it's going to focus on the actually entity "Annabelle" instead of just the doll. So that also solves the issue of not having to just have short actresses play the doll.

Just watched the conjuring again. I can see some maze potential and could get more scenes with Annabelle coming out October 3rd this year.

I think if a property like this, that can fit in HoH, comes up they just put it in there. Especially when it's rare for something to fit in HoH. Just about every year HoH has housed a Uni property. Just HoH, HoH featuring The Strangers, Chuckys Funhouse,Wolfman, UMR, and UMR 2.0. In 2010 we had vampires based on a comic and that was one of the best years for it.

I think the big issue with that is the lines for the mazes here get really long to the point that with just general admission your lucky if you get to do all the mazes and terror tram. The last thing on people's list would be shows. If we had 8 mazes, TT, 2 big shows, and all the rides open. Then I think that would help with the wait times and let people have a chance to see the shows.
