  1. I suppose the Purge could be a scare zone only... but with the release of part 2 this summer, I expected a bit more. I agree with you 100% in regards to the Exorcist. There really aren't enough environments to set up a proper house. But with the Purge, I think you could set up a house fairly easily with a little extra effort from the scare actors. Just my opinion.
  2. I have to be honest, that connection seems like a stretch... but it does work. Is there any other place besides NY Streets where a purge scare zone would work effectively? So... If you are buying into the idea that there will be a Purge scare zone, why won't there be a house? I don't think they would use an ip just for a scare zone. Has that ever been done before?
  3. Some people are just zombied out especially because of last year. But there are still plenty of fans that want to see The Walking Dead, just not around every corner. The show and the comic are $. Who said we were getting a purge house? The Purge "There are six sirens when opening Purge at 7 pm March 21st and seven sirens when closing Purge at 7 am March 22nd. At the very beginning of the movie, when James Sandin arrives home, he says "Home again, home again, jiggety-jig". This is from the opening of an old nursery rhyme: To market, to market, to buy a fat pig/Home again, home again, jiggety-jig." The only other match thus far even relatively close was Dr. Who, and I know we aren't getting that (because I really want it). If there are other theories on this clue, fire away...
  4. My theory isn't that all children are missing from the boogeyman or el cucuy, I was using the point as an example. I could list 100 possible things it could be, especially if it is an original house. I'm also not assuming the clue it is about dolls (although the word doll is repeated 9 times in the song). The first thing that popped in my head was the Island of Dolls near Mexico City, which was then followed by a bunch of ideas (a couple of them were even posted on the previous page). It all depends on how you want to approach looking at the clue (lyrics, creators, what else it was used in, who sang). If you have a good theory, care to share? You say this, "And no, I don't believe scarezones and houses will match. And not just because we have too many clues." And then a few hours later you say, "the only potential house/scarezone combo I see is TWD". Although I could be wrong, if there is a house/scare zone combo we (in theory) could have 2 separate clues. This was basically the only point I was trying to to get across. It is all speculation at this point...
  5. The clues themselves aren't similiar, but they can be tied back to similiar content. If we have 2 clues tied back to the same movie/creature etc. that could mean a house and a scare zone. We have too many clues because we have 8 houses and an unknown number of scare zones. My assumption is that we'll have a clue for each house and each scare zone (which I think is what you are saying). So we could have 1-6 more clues. The more the better. Maybe it is just me, but I find it hard to imagine that not 1 of the houses will have a scare zone too.
  6. That is the point I'm trying to make. If we have a house theme that also has a matching scare zone I believe there could be 2 similiar clues. Do you believe we'll have any scare zones that match up with any of the house themes? Or I should say... Assuming we get another Walking Dead house, will there also be at least one scare zone set up to go along with last season?
  7. Would anyone consider Sam from Trick 'R Treat a doll? For those of you who haven't seen the short story that helped inspire the movie Trick 'R Treat (Sam) here it is... Season's Greetings by Michael Dougherty http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=czlSc6kYegg
  8. Don't forget that since we are in our 12th clue, clearly some of these are scare zones now. Like I said awhile back, I wouldn't be surprised if at least 1 or 2 of the mazes also have a scare zone attached to them somewhere in the park.
  9. Dr. Jimmy #12 Guys and Gals - Musical (song) The musical was based on the short story The Idyll of Miss Sarah Brown by Damon Runyon (originally an unlikely love story about a gambler and a missionary girl falling in love and living happily ever after) Wiki Reference http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guys_and_Dolls Possible references in my mind off the top... The Island of Dolls near Mexico City - possible scare zone? Chucky - Child's Play Annabelle Doll - The Conjuring (mine as well toss it in too) Billy the Puppet - Saw A Vampire or Succubus - Fright Night 2011 (Gambling/Vegas & Sinatra) Space Vampire like in Lifeforce (1985) or another alien lifeform like in the movie Decoys (2004) Other demonic creatures that have powers of persuation... Also... Guys and Gals was an episode name for the TV series My Bababysitter's a Vampire.
  10. What I meant was he changed the words around so that make a wish came 1st. It was just a swap with the next lines. I'm guessing it was intentional. However, whether it was intentional as a clue or to throw us off, who knows?
  11. Any chance we could get an Iron Maiden house? They have an album called Dance of Death.
  12. A hint kinda like the Bill & Ted nod at page 69. Unless the whole hint is directed toward it??? That would be awfully tricky of him. Here is another version of the djinn (jinn) released in theatres last month. www.youtube.com/watch?v=9mDVQUmdMYo
  13. Seems like the theme of heart keeps reoccurring. Maybe we need to look for someone kinda like this guy??? www.effets-speciaux.info/img/photo/37-35.jpg In the movie Trick 'R Treat, there are a couple scenes that show the town's Halloween festival. There are people dancing to the rhythm of drums some of which were dressed as skeletons. Although I highly doubt this clue is tied to that movie, I figured I'd toss it out there.
  14. The return of Esqueleto Muerte? That was basically the 1st thing that popped in my head when I saw clue #11.
  15. What's the deal with the Rougarou anyways? I hadn't heard 1 mention of it in almost 30 years (from my grandmother) and then all of a sudden this year, the legend is popping up in shows all over the place. If we get a Rougarou sighting at HHN I'll get a good chuckle.
  16. Dr. Jimmy implied that the reason clue #10 was changed was because he found a more fitting song. However, the house/scare zone did not actually change. Due to this, we technically can still use both clues to figure it out. Originally, the clue (Heart taken from Damn Yankees) referred to someone making a deal with the devil to get something they want and in return handing over their soul. In the new #10, the being/creature gets it's "kicks" out of being around someone. Some have implied that the hint could be referring to a vampire. Although vampires are magical in their own way, I believe the bond of a djinn and it's victim would definitely be a better match. This would also explain why Dr. Jimmy has all those Alladin pics put up on his tumblr. I guess there may not be a voodoo house after all (thankfully). I wonder how many more clues we are going to get. I get happier with each one, since that means more scare zones. I still haven't fully recovered from the weakness of HHN 22.
  17. Obviously that performance is from Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory sung by Gene Wilder... (Pure Imagination) Could this clue have ties to clue #9 Kiddy Widdy Winkies implying that there is a house and a scare zone, or are they totally separate? Both have scenarios where children are lured somewhere using candy. On a side note, the 1st 3 words of the song are changed to make a wish. (maybe hinting at that djinn) If we are talking about a djinn. then clue #10 (I Get a Kick Out of You) could also possibly be tied to this, due to the fact that some djinn (depending on which realm of fiction) feed off the souls of humans for nourishment.
  18. Could the symbol in the picture be a version of a chaos star?
  19. Yeah... I'm sure it isn't, but with all these kicks and a boot, it did pop in my head. It could be made into an amusing house in my opinion.
  20. I have come here to chew bubble gum and kick ass, and I'm all out of bubble gum.
  21. Which clues and why? Assuming both sources are accurate, once all the clues are out they obviously should tie. Maybe I'm just attempting to do this too early (especially since Dr. Jimmy clue #10 is about to be modified)?
  22. My current attempt to tie back both sets of clues: (I'm sure I'll end up changing a few) Dr. Jimmy #1 Masquerade (Phantom of the Opera) could have ties to Cassi clue #10 (Hop-Frog, King in Yellow, Mask of the Red Death Guy) = Halloween or Bioshock Dr. Jimmy #2 You're Never Fully Dressed Without a Smile (Annie) could have ties to Cassi clues #6 (Face off clues) = AVP Dr. Jimmy #3 New Orleans (Simpsons) could have ties to Cassi clue #9 (How Terrible is Wisdom - Pentagram) = Voodoo/Gypsy Caravan in Central Park Dr. Jimmy #4 Three Little Maids from School (Mikado) could have ties to Cassi clue #8 (Some Are So Blind - Go! Board game) = Vampire/Demon/Geishas in Sting Alley Dr. Jimmy #5 I want to be Rainbow High (Evita) could have ties to Cassi clue #5 (To Market, To Market Nursery Swine) = Purge Dr. Jimmy #6 Stars (Les Miserables) could have ties to Cassi clue #7 (Two Little Foxes - Old Man Splitfoot) = Sleepy Hollow Dr. Jimmy #7 Home (The Wiz) could have ties to Cassi clues #1 = Halloween Dr. Jimmy #8 Always Look on the Bright Side of Life (Monty Python Life of Brian) could have ties to Cassi clue #3 (Tool - Decomposition) = The Walking Dead Dr. Jimmy #9 Kiddy Widdy Winkies (Chiddy Chiddy Bang Bang) could have ties to Cassi Clue #4 (The Boss Needs Some Things - Makeup) = Jack's Carnival Dr. Jimmy #10 Heart (Damn Yankees) could have ties to Cassi clue #9 (How Terrible is Wisdom - Pentagram) Damn Yankees & Angel Heart both being based on Faust = Voodoo/Deal with the Devil Some of the connections seem to be slam dunks, while others aren't as much. Cassi clue #2 is most likely a reference to Aliens, which theoretically could also be tied to Dr. Jimmy #2. This is why I think there could be an Alien scare zone. Dr. Jimmy #8 could be an incorrect tie.... it is probably a better fit with Cassi clue #4. Cassi Clue #9 could go with Dr. Jimmy #3 or #10. I believe Who am I? might just be referencing a character who is associated with Jack.
  23. To further back my guess that the original house codename Charlie will be Voodoo (New Orleans) inspired, I'll tell you about one particular Charlie I did discover while searching. Charles Massicot Gandolfo (aka Voodoo Charlie) just happens to be the founder of the New Orleans Historic Voodoo Museum. A coincidence... possibly. Guess we'll find out eventually.
  24. So far, this is what I've come up with using the various clues we've had. Obviously these are my opinions, and by no means am I saying that I have to be right. Houses 1. Halloween 2. AVP 3. Purge 4. Jack's Carnival (original) 5. The Walking Dead 6. Sleepy Hollow 7. Voodoo House (original or American Horror Story season 3) Unsure... 8. Could be El Cucuy/Boogeyman/Witch from Hansel & Gretel or maybe even Bioshock My true hope is for there to be a Dr. Who house. I doubt this will happen, but I can hope and dream. Scare Zones (thus far) Asian Vampires/Creatures in Sting Alley Voodoo/Witch/Gypsy Caravan in Central Park Maybe an Aliens or AVP area As more clues come in, I may change my mind. Until then, this is what I've got.
  25. someone mentioned a murder of crows? That was one of the vigors from Bioshock Infinite.
