  1. Well... If this clue is actually connected to the Lost Colony of Roanoke, there could only be a few possible scenarios that would fit the event. 1. An illness wiped out the colony. 2. Some sort of ghost/wraith came and wiped out the colony. 3. The Indians came and killed the colony. (maybe eating them if they were cannibals) 4. The land was cursed and the colony died from it. (all of the above) In reality, the colonists probably abandoned the location they were at (when the weather got too cold) and ended up living with the Indians who lived all around them (and were better prepared for the cold).
  2. A maze based off of the movie Lost Colony: The Legend of Roanoke (2007) starring Adrian Paul? (aka - Wraiths of Roanoke)
  3. I'll post a couple pictures for those who are unfamiliar with what the dolls look like. Real Annabelle vs. Hollywood (left/right) http://www.historyvshollywood.com/reelfaces/conjuring/anbld.jpg I think this is the haunted version of Amanda. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v604/Vigssite/Haunted/HAUNTED-DOLL-AMANDA.jpg Also... How would you like these guys walking around your house? (Dr. Who - Night Terrors) http://i1.cdnds.net/11/35/618_cult_doctor_who_0609_8.jpg This one isn't haunted, but is pretty awful to look at. http://photos1.blogger.com/x/blogger/7233/840/1600/715783/cheekydoll.jpg I would post a couple pictures of the Island of Dolls in Mexico, but pictures don't do it any justice. Any guesses as to what the picture is in the clue? So far, all I got is maybe a fly's wing?
  4. All I'm saying is that Jack obviously wasn't in Something Wicked this Way Comes. But in an alternate dimension, maybe Jack could replace the Mr. Dark character who leads the carnival? Looks a little burned? You thinking the dust witch is possibly Cindy Caine all grown up? Cindy, Jack and Chance are all Morphans according to what I read on a website somewhere.
  5. Theatrical poster art from Something Wicked this Way Comes https://cdn.d23.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/042913_DatelineDisney_SomethingWickedThisWayComes_2.jpg Nice ferris wheel. and the picture of the dust witch again that I posted before... https://cdn.d23.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/042913_DatelineDisney_SomethingWickedThisWayComes_1.jpg It leaves fairly little doubt that Something Wicked this Way Comes is being used as a reference. But what does all this have to do with Jack?
  6. So does anyone think these 2 clues go together? Dr. Jimmy #10 I Get a Kick Out of You (Dr. Jimmy clue #10 was originally Heart from Damn Yankees) Cassi Clue #11. Skeletons Dancing - Danse Macabre - We all have our ways in which we mask our pain, you can dance in the streets, you can dance in the rain, but to dance without Heart is to dance in vain. Could this possibly be the Ghoulz scare zone concept from Hollywood? 19th century France, restrictive laws and social norms prevented medical colleges from acquiring the one asset they need most - human cadavers. To solve this "body shortage crisis," universities employed "unsavory characters" to do their dirty work and steal corpses from cemeteries in the middle of the night. Unfortunately, the grave robbers on Universal Studios Hollywood's French Street have developed a morbid fascination with the dead - and a taste for human flesh. When I put the 3 together, for some reason I thought of the Monster Mash's Crypt Kicker 5. The skeletons dancing are getting their kicks from the band, and the ghoulz would be kicking in the crypts to steal the bodies.
  7. Thank you Dr. Jimmy for taking the time to make all those wonderful performances.
  8. So I guess it looks like we get 4-5 scare zones. Hopefully they are accompanied with some roaming hoard action. For the past couple years, the back area where Saws N' Steam and the Jaws ride once were has been a really weak area as far as HHN goes. It is pretty bad when the highlight for that area in my mind is for the use of the restroom there before or after the Bill & Ted show. Now that the construction will finally be done this year, I really hope they put something there.
  9. Updated Version Dr. Jimmy #1 Masquerade (Phantom of the Opera) could have ties to Cassi clue #10 (Hop-Frog, King in Yellow, Mask of the Red Death Guy) = Halloween, Bioshock, or now possibly the Mask-A-Raid scarezone from Hollywood Dr. Jimmy #2 You're Never Fully Dressed Without a Smile (Annie) could have ties to Cassi clues #6 (Face off clues) = AVP or Cassi clue #2 (Alien) Dr. Jimmy #3 New Orleans (Simpsons) could have ties to Cassi clue #9 (How Terrible is Wisdom - Pentagram) = Voodoo/Gypsy Caravan in Central Park Dr. Jimmy #4 Three Little Maids from School (Mikado) could have ties to Cassi clue #8 (Some Are So Blind - Go! Board game) = Vampire/Demon/Geishas in Sting Alley Dr. Jimmy #5 I want to be Rainbow High (Evita) could have ties to Cassi clue #5 (To Market, To Market Nursery Swine) = Purge Dr. Jimmy #6 Stars (Les Miserables) could have ties to Cassi clue #7 (Two Little Foxes - Old Man Splitfoot) = Sleepy Hollow Dr. Jimmy #7 Home (The Wiz) could have ties to Cassi clues #1 = Halloween Dr. Jimmy #8 Always Look on the Bright Side of Life (Monty Python Life of Brian) could have ties to Cassi clue #3 (Tool - Decomposition) = The Walking Dead Dr. Jimmy #9 Kiddy Widdy Winkies (Chiddy Chiddy Bang Bang) could have ties to Cassi Clue #4 (The Boss Needs Some Things - Makeup) = Jack's Carnival Dr. Jimmy #10 I Get a Kick Out of You (Created by Cole Porter, originally sung by Ethel Merman in Anything Goes covered by Frank Sinatra) could possibly tie to Cassi Clue #11. Skeletons Dancing - Danse Macabre - We all have our ways in which we mask our pain, you can dance in the streets, you can dance in the rain, but to dance without Heart is to dance in vain. (especially since Dr. Jimmy clue #10 was originally Heart from Damn Yankees) As to what it represents, some sort of ghoul I suppose. Possibly the Ghoulz scare zone concept from Hollywood? Crypt kicker 5... Dr. Jimmy #11. Pure Imagination (Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory sung by Gene Wilder) - personally I think this clue is for Legendary Truth... No Cassi tie as of yet that I can see. Both of the next clues could be tied to Cassi clue #12. Ankh, Inverted Fairy Star - To what depth would you sink for the vanity of vitality, of the cruor would you drink? Would you compromise morality? Would you give your animus for a taste of the eternal? Would it bring you happiness to trade spiritual for carnal? (I was hoping for a Nightingales return) Dr. Jimmy #12 Guys and Dolls (The musical was based on the short story The Idyll of Miss Sarah Brown by Damon Runyon (originally an unlikely love story about a gambler and a missionary girl falling in love and living happily ever after) (I was hoping for an Island of Dolls type scare zone, but I doubt it will happen) Dr. Jimmy #13a. Food, Glorious Food Written by Lionel Bart and performed in Oliver!), 13b. Sunrise, Sunset (performed in Fidler on the Roof) I think Tim mentioned it earlier, but the clues do seem to line up with the movie The Hunger (1983) about an ancient female vampire who lures/collects young attractive people to feed on and in return makes them immortal (or what they believe to be). I'm soooooo tired of vampires. Also... Who am I? (Cassi clues) Possibly refers to someone connected with Jack the Clown.
  10. There are so many awesome characters from Dr. Who... a bunch of them are really creepy too. Seriously... Is there any chance at all it could happen???
  11. There is no guarantee that we are getting the same Mask-A-Raid. It could be a coincidence. However, I see no reason why we can't get a vote if Hollywood is. I'm pretty sure getting the fans more involved with HHN would probably help them sell more tickets, especially considering how little effort it would take to pull off. Seems like a no-brainer.
  12. Is there an actual date set for when Universal Studios becomes Harry Potter's Studios? I've seen the advertisement that says summer 2014 and summer is right around the corner. Is it pretty much completed? I'm so tired of the construction. The fact that they destroyed the Jaws ride to build more Harry stuff really displeased me. I loved that ride!
  13. Well... The creatures from Nightingales looked like banshees, and screamed like banshees. I agree, they may not have behaved like banshees since they fed on people, but who's to say for certain that they hadn't tapped into a darker power that called on them to do this. As far as I know, the house was an original. So... other than it's creator, who knows where the inspiration of it's creation came from. For all we know, he could have been using strigoi as a reference. Also, it seemed to me that the star we are looking at was inverted. I reasoned that possibly there could be some significance. I tried to find some information in regards to this, but haven't come up with much so far. And let us not forget all the birds sitting in those round symbols. Generally speaking, most vampires are not fairies. I know, I know, there are some, but... generally they are not.
  14. I'm fairly convinced Cassi clue #12 is tied to the return of Nightingales. They were creatures similar to banshees that fed on the weak and dying all throughout history (World War 1 - HHN 21- Nightingales Blood Prey). They have been around basically forever and can change shape to fit their surroundings in order to hunt their prey. I believe the words in the clue describe a creature similar to this. The ankh which is a symbol for life/eternal life sitting in the background could be a reference to them living forever. Also you have what looks like an inverted fairy star present as well. In legend, banshees are actually referred to as a type of fairy. So that easily could tie as well. But if that wasn't enough, if you look real close at the circular symbols in between the points of the star, what do you see? There is a bird sitting in at least 5 of them. I'm guessing that the bird is in all of them, but the 1 up top and the 1 on the right are too fuzzed out to say 100%. Although the image is a little difficult to make out, the bird even resembles a nightingale. HHN UK said it 1st, I just added a little fuel to the fire.
  15. I agree with what you're saying for the most part. But c'mon, there is a pretty big difference between having a clue possibly tied to Halloween which is one of the biggest horror movies of all time and more than likely would be a house versus a Face Off makeup being featured in a scare zone or stuffed in a maze somewhere.
  16. Ok. Their work was just in a maze and it didn't get displayed, gotcha. Thanks Captain. I was just curious how far in advance the HHN crowd were notified about it. The new season starts up again July 22. Assuming we get some work from the show featured, maybe that would be 1 of the 1st things announced to us? I still think Cassi clue #6 matches better with AVP though, especially part 2 of the clue. Also, if the clue was intended to point us in the direction of the show Face Off, why would it literally have a QR code taking you directly to the website? At that point, it is no longer a clue really. Also, it seems odd to me that Cassi would have a 4 part clue tied to something that may not even have a significant presence at the event (using last year as a reference). If it wasn't for Cassi clue #2 already pointing in the direction of Aliens, I'd be even more convinced. I wonder how many ips we'll be sharing with Hollywood...
  17. The episode aired August 2013 before HHN. Did Hollywood Universal (the fans) know they were getting a display before the show aired?
  18. I have a question about last year if anyone knows. During season 5 ep. 2 of Face Off they announced on the show that the winner of the challenge would have their creation shown at HHN. Since the show isn't live (except the final episode sometimes I think), was that info leaked prior to the broadcast? Did Hollywood know they were getting a Face Off design before the show?
  19. Is Face Off a sure shot? If it is coming, would we get the creations from last year, or the new season? Back a couple years ago, we had Universal's House of Horrors. Do you think it would be similar to that, or completely new versions of all the classic monsters? Personally I think Face Off is staying in Hollywood, but I'd be happy either way. I was pretty disappointed when I didn't get to see last year's designs.
  20. Yes... There are 8 houses. Everyone knows that. But does every person attending the event know what those 8 will be right now? Obviously not. If you have inside information and know all 8, that's great for you. Is it your job to tell me that my guesses are incorrect? If so, have fun... we have a few months to go. Personally, I like to hear about all the different ideas people come up with. Back to speculation?
  21. Nothing is a house yet, which is why some of us are sharing ideas in a speculation thread.
  22. You have the gargoyle... and I think the lyrics "come with me and you'll be in a world of pure imagination" are rather fitting too.
  23. Ok... Several college friends go to a party and end up getting killed off 1 by 1... What movie is it? The answer is right in your face. Going with the "in your face" theme of solving clues, I'd say Dr. Jimmy #11 was made to let us know Legendary Truth will be taking part in HHN 24. Or... A sick and twisted version of Charlie & the Chocolate Factory. If the Purge isn't going to be a house, then what ip will be replacing it? The Purge Breakout as mentioned above - see at www.purgebreakout.com $21.60 for a 30 minute run in groups of 6.
  24. Do we know how many original houses we are getting yet... 2 or 3?
  25. don't forget Voodoo Charlie or Charlie Brewster from Fright Night...
