Yeah, Jaws would be feasible after AWiL this year. Imagine walking on the ship and Jaws is snapping at you from the broken back of the ship at your feet. That would be terrifying.
-
That was back when knotts was good, believe it or not
They definitely had the properties, but their mazes are so much better now thankfully.

Ok guys my Dad who is John Murdy's friend said that John Murdy told him the HHN 2015 lineup (while he was watching The Twilight Zone with us)!
Here it is guys, exclusively for HNN!
Murdy said wanted to do something special for the 10th anniversary. After all, he is retiring in 2015.
The Asylum 2: Definitely not making things up here
The Exorcist: Unreachable rights achieved
Alice Cooper: The Return of washed up rockers
HNN: Cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs
The Walking Dead: TROLOLOLOL
Trick or Treat in 3D Carnyvision (based on the hit Knotts maze)
Trust me guys I'm 1000% legit
Don't forget Jaws: Bloody Waters as the 7th Maze and the KISS Terror Tram with a whole new path!

I just hope the costumes can look this good.
If it's any better than that costume at 3:23, I'd be seriously surprised.

Someone I know who works in the Entertainment department said that they're hiring a LOT of Scare Patrol people this year. You can probably guess what that means regarding shows.
Those are the people who stand next to the lines right? They were fun, but it definitely means they need to make up for the lack of show.

Im curious........what was the lineup he said i missed this twotontick guy
"Since the site is not letting me post, I'll post here. My father is good friends with John Murdy. I am confident of the line-up for this year's HHN Hollywood. Universal Monsters Remix, Trick 'r Treat, The Exorcist, Insidious, Walking Dead, and the Purge (Going in 747). Also, Walking Dead Terror Tram will be returning and there will be a Purge backlot experience. You are welcome in advance. :-)"

as the facade?
He didn't specify, but considering the maze is based on the sequel and the movie starts in the ship, it's very possible.

Well I'm part of the community now. Anyone want to link me the page since I'm signed in? Not sure if it will work, but we'll see.

Wait, how did you guys but tickets already? Off of the 2013 site?
No..... they're "special".......
-
i just want to announce to everybody that..........I GOT MY TICKETS FOR OPENING NIGHT!!!!!!!!!
..........and I'm taking a chance and doing G.A. and early entry to the backlot to save a buck.
In 2012 i paid a little over $150 for me and my girl for FOL
in 2013 i paid $238
If i paid the money i did in 2013 in 2012 i could have bought someone a FOL
So i will take all your guys advice and do the backlot first and hustle my fat a$$ if i have to lol
How did you already get GA tickets? Are you an AP holder?

Lmfao omg, AVP: Razorz would be epic. Aw god, that was a good joke. Had me rolling
I see what you did there.....
-
I just read an article and supposedly skulls was a last minute add. Originally there was supposed to be a SZ to tie in AVP and they even had concept art released but the budget for it would of been too high
That would have been EPIC. So disappointed that we're stuck with scooterless skulls.

Wow. I guess the one or two people who aren't anticipating AVP as one or two and put it at the bottom of the list really hurt its chances of being number1. Not fair, just because its a sci fi property and the movie sucks doesn't mean the maze won't be good.
However, pretty much everyone put AWIL in their top 2 at least, so I suppose it belongs at number 1.
But also keep in mind, more people will vote instead of commenting.
I also did the same test but took out the bottom outlier and the top outlier. I thought that could bring AvP to the top, but I got the same results (Same order, but TWD and FDTD actually tied), just the difference wasn't as big. Still my personal most anticipated though.

You can rest easy, there WILL be early access to the GP. Murdy confirmed.
I am so happy right now!

So I decided to do some statistics cause I was bored. The chart above isn't a completely accurate representation of our most anticipated maze to least anticipated. So I went through everyone's response, giving everyone's #1 option, 6 points, all the way down to giving 0 points to the least anticipated option. I then found the average amount of points each maze got, divided it by 6 which is the perfect average the maze could get, and came up with a percentage. Remember, a low percentage does not mean it's not anticipated at all, it just means it's less anticipated than the maze above it on the list. Also, only 56.8% of the people who voted above actually wrote out their most to least anticipated mazes. So the more people that do that, the more accurate this can get. Here are my results of what the forum's average chart would look like.
1. An American Werewolf in London - 85.7%
2. Alien Vs. Predator - 81%
3. Clowns 3D - 48.4%
4. The Walking Dead: End of the Line - 46.8%
5. From Dusk Til Dawn - 46%
6. Dracula Untold - 24.6%
7. Face Off - 12.7%

Fuck yes! Excuse my language....:
"@HalloweenF13 as far as I know right now there will be early entry, probably all nights of the event. AP holders get a special one"
-
I think it'll be fine. Both times I went last year, B&T had already been canceled and there was enough time to do everything. We didn't have early access. I went the week before Halloween and on Halloween itself. Granted, we have one more maze this year to hit and Halloween is on a Friday, buuut I refer you to DTH's HHN guide for that. He's got solid tips in there.
Yes, solid tips that are mainly based on hitting Early Access. I know I'll be able to do everything probably, but I'll end up giving up on dinner, Despicable Me, and going through any maze more than once. The first and the last of which I've done every year. I just don't think there will be time for that anymore.

Don't forget the Silent Hill scarezone. It seemed like an obvious choice to have clowns down there, but I'm pleased with this choice.
Yeah, but the Silent Hill scarezone still wasn't great cause they didn't stand out very well. Clowns would have done that with the bright colors and I'm sure bright lights that would have filled the scarezone. They could have easily had clowns on stilts, too. But I hope Skullz is not as dull as I'm picturing it in my head.
-
Let me get this straight....early entry is only for AP holders (Which there are a LOT), they're apparently selling a lot more KDN passes than they probably should, and there are no shows this year (Apparently). Get ready for the apocalypse.
We just need to avoid the KDN days and go on a Thursday or Sunday. Not sure if there will be many days like that, but that's how I'll plan it.

Guys, read that post a little more carefully.
It says that Annual Pass members can start queuing by Transformers around 4:30, while the park is still open. This leads me to believe that AP members can enter during daytime op. To me, this sounds like Early Access will not be affected for General Admission people. Although, if AP holders are already down there by the time the rest of us are, it may be a bit more crowded, but Early Access will still be the best option.
It says they're let in at 6:45pm. AKA, the time Early Entry would let us into the backlot.
-
can you tell me where to find the online live wait times? I don't know where to find them when the event starts....
-
My god I hope this is misinformation. I hope that enough people complain and they change it, or that it's only for the first few weekends.
Or maybe AP holders get to go in the mazes during daytime op? Because HHN doesn't start until 7 and I don't see them changing the hours. When does the park close, do you know?
Nope, according to that link, it's just a replication of early entry, just for those with an AP pass. And it's the entire year it seems.
-
My FOL pass is gonna come even more in handy without early entry now.
It may be necessary this year. I'm gonna hold off on purchasing tickets until I see how crowds are the first couple nights. I can plan my schedule using the live wait times online.

Having clowns in a zone before the maze seems pointless. Why have so much of one type of monster when we already have 2 mazes with vampires, and multiple attractions with zombies ?
When Saw was in the Mummy venue, they had a Pigz scarezone based on the pigs in the movies. It really helped set the tone for the maze. Also, clowns would bring some life to the lower lot that hasn't been there for the past few years.

This was an awesome 3rd year speculating with you guys. I'm close to 500 posts now. Spec was obviously crazy with some incredibly high points and incredibly low points, but I'm excited for the event so I'll see y'all in discussion.
